Thank the Native Americans who by observation, intelligent thought and understanding, gave us this amazing system. God is good. Genesis 2:15

I've never heard of this method! I love this return to Native American practices, a culture which truly listens to the earth.🌿

Anyone wanting to do this should also research what kind of squash and beans grow best and also look at the TIMING of planting. (Corn first then beans when corn is about knee high and the squash after the beans have sprouted and are climbing) Also a fourth sister is optional (sunflowers or another tall flowering yet edible plants like amaranth) which attract pollinators and distract birds from eating up the original 3 sisters) whatevers left from the 4th circle u can also harvest and eat but their main function is to distract crows lol. This technique has been used by my fam in mexico for generations. Theyre mostly ranchers but its good to grow our own veggies.

Should I plant the fourth sister around the three sisters? or all of them be planted mixed together on the garden bed.

The 3 sisters also provide all nutrients for a human to live. The most important reason to grow. Learned that info while touring the Etowah Indian Mounds.

I think it would be a good idea to plants legumes everywhere. Why not, if plants want nitrogen?
@trumplostlol3007
@trumplostlol3007 2 года назад
@@lucykelly7152 You get free nitrogen by spreading diluted human urine in your property. Do not over stress the importance of nitrogen. Whatever is prolific should be planted. That means TREES always have priorities, if they don't block all sunlight, that is.
@Neoprenesiren
@Neoprenesiren Год назад
Sure it contains urea, but that takes time to break down into a bioavailable nutrient. Pee also has salts in it that will kill plants if not diluted or applied to regularly.

Won't the squash also climb up the corn and maybe kill the corn?

the beans will be harvested first, cutting the stems and unraveling them

2:41 Give thanks to Mother Nature? You mean God? And before you get upset, think of this. If you think God is made up, why do you think "Mother Nature" is real? I'm seriously curious? And if you think Mother Nature is made up, as well as God, then why give thanks at all if none if them are real? Do you thank the Easter Bunny? Seriously curious. Now me, I believe in God, and not Mother Nature. So I would personally just thank God. But that means nothing to my observation from above which should be carefully read, before attacking me, as I have attacked no one. I simply made a comment you may not care for, but naturally everyone is tolerant of my right to inquire, soooooo. Thanks for the video. Nice looking plants! 👍

I tried it and it was impossible to harvest around those stupid squash. You guys aren’t showing how it was originally done I’m sure! Maybe they had different varieties that you don’t know about. I couldn’t find the beans in the corn and also they didn’t do too well. I don’t want to hear from someone who doesn’t have a clue!!!

@@plantvibrations …OK, maybe the apology is mine! I live in the high desert of New Mexico. I dug a deep hole and put the three seeds in at the same time. I have researched this method and other Early American planting methods. I did it in the spring and the corn grew fine, the beans didn’t ever climb up the corn and the zucchini was out of control. I have ways now of controlling the worms that took my corn and I know now that you can control the zucchini bye just cutting off the excess leaves… I just don’t know how to grow the beans. My soil might not be what they need. Sorry for the ugly comment. Please forgive me….

@@Coratlan …Live and learn, I will keep trying. I live in a very harsh climate with very little rain. The chemicals the government are spraying in the clouds (via chemical-trails) are affecting the crops and the health of humans! If we don’t stop Bill Gates…etc, etc. We all will be meeting our maker!!
