I was born in 1960 and I remember watching on our little B&w tv the 3 stooges, I loved it, thanks for the countless hours of comedy. 🙏

In a broken voice Moe described what had happened to Curly during the final stage of filming HALF-WITS HOLIDAY. This part almost made me 😢. The interview was taken in 1974 a year before Moe passed away.

I grew up ( 1953 ) with 3 Stooges shorts daily on TV, in the movies before the feature film and of course their later movies. I LOVED them and at 69 yrs old I STILL love them. My kids loved them. My grandson loved them at 4 and at 14 appreciates their genius. When we watch now ( I have the boxset) we analyze it and still laugh even though we've seen it 100's of times between us. These men were/ are international legends and still followed 90 yrs later. Few can boast the same.

Long live Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Curly Howard, and Shemp Howard, the kings of the Stooges 👑 25:46-47:30 RIP Curly 😭😭😭😭 In terms of his disastrous marriage to Marion, I’ve somewhat been in Curly’s shoes; from September 2018 to August 2019, every time I took my ex-girlfriend (who is also a gold-digger) out to dinner/drinks or to the movies, I’ve always had to pay for almost everything every time and she rarely contributed. She was also almost 5 years older than me so I was her boy-toy for that time, until I decided to end the relationship to save my skin (and possibly my health) and get my single playboy life back, which Curly did get to do (Valerie was awesome to Curly) but both his health and time with The Three Stooges went with it

Awesome stuff the 3 Stoogies were ICONIC Comedians , these behind the. scene stories are way out there , just like the Stooges , AWESOME JOB WITH THE SINGING AND THE WAY HIS SON ( Paul ) PUT THIS TOGETHER is VERY VERY COOL , GREAT JOB Paul !! , I grew up watching the stooges on TV IN the 1960 s , still just as funny today as they were then , MOE was my favorite one then CURLY !!

Poor Moe-Obviously it wasn't easy for him to talk about Curly's stroke, anymore than it was easy for him to hold it in during filming of Half Wits Holiday, knowing that his little brother was being rushed to the hospital.

Curlys shuffle was imitated by me and my little buddies constantly, one of us would always be playing and acting like the stooges, they along with Batman and Superman were my favorite tv programs in 1966 as a 6 year old.

A wonderful review of Stooge history here. Love the at-home clips, along w bits of interview, its not something wecome across very often. The sequence of events re Curlys final few years were sad to hear...its seemed part was unfortunately his own doing, re his carousing, drinking, etc. But he also lost many family members, along w his wife and daughter, over a relatively short period, that had to hit him hard too. You can clearly see the differece onscreen over the last year or two as well. From very early on, once Moe, Larry n Curly came together, they clicked. I think regardless of what mayve been going on off-camera for Curly at the end, he got along well with Moe n Larry, never had any real issues w them, and didnt want to let them down by having to bow out of the act (not to mention the whole $$ aspect). He just kept going until he couldnt do it anymore. Things couldve gone 50 different ways after Curly left, but they were very fortunate to have Shemp step in. Different from Curly yes, but he did a good job. I think if the boys knew back then that 80+ years on we'd still be laughing at these shorts, 1) theyd scarce have believed it and 2) id like to thinl it wouldve made them chuckle. Thanks guys!

What a wonderful series! Right from the son's brain. How could it be any better ?! What's astounding is the miracle of how these 3 came together, and their longevity (in all their iterations). Fate could've had us speaking of the 'Ritz Brothers' , or the 'Cracker Sisters', but we got these 3 😃

I'm a major stooges fan from a way back so I wonder how I wasn't aware of this series that was made 8 years ago. I thought I had dug up all that was to be found. I have read that it was Wallace Beery who was involved in ted Healy's death. Wallace Beery really stands out for me because he was in tugboat annie and me and my whole family are tug boat people. Several generations of us have made our living In marine towing. I have heard stories of how the three boys were taken advantage of by Harry Chon. However I believe moe had a house on lake toluca some of the most expensive real estate in the world.

Oh my god. I fucking sobbed when Moe could barely get out his sentence about Jerry’s stroke.

Curly was a genius and a wizard 🧙‍♂️ and a God of comedy Nobody can't take away his image or character or his style of comedy He was a good man to all people. He will be missed damn he cared about people He was a dog 🐶 lover ❤❤. He had women problems 2 but he loved a lot of women a whole lot but he cared about his kids idk how many he had but I know he loved them all 😢😢😢😢😢RIP 1903 to 1952 😢😢😢😢😢 damn god bless him Jerome Jerry babe curly howard / horowitz.

Hoi palloi is one of my favorites. Jules White directed Half Wits Holiday and had a difficult time filming Curly’s scenes as he had trouble remembering his lines.

The barroom brawl where Ted Haley was beaten up the reason those guys beat him up because he was hitting on some married woman and one of the three guys was her husband by what has been said so I guess you could say since he was hitting on someone else's wife the husband and his two friends took revenge understandable after all it was the guy's wife

What if Curly Howard took better care of his health, wealth, and well-being and was more content with life to its fullest? That would've been beneficial.
