I owned one of their records, it was a little yellow record under the label golden records, it was a take on the Christmas song "Deck the halls", they sang "Wreck the halls" and had a lot of sound effects of them falling off the ladder and disagreeing with each other.

0:42-3:16 music to my ears. After Curly & Shemp died, Moe & Larry (like Abbott & Costello and Laurel & Hardy before them) were getting into their twilight years 9:09-9:32 It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and 4 for Texas were awesome, but were even better with the trio 16:49-17:02 only the Stooges can get away with that 😂 15:10-21:10 these are now relics; along with Moe & Larry meeting Frank Sinatra twice (1952 with Shemp on Sinatra’s show, 1963 with Curly Joe in 4 for Texas), former The Price Is Right host Bob Barker had Moe & Larry and Curly Joe on Truth or Consequences in 1969. If only Moe & Larry played fictionalized versions of themselves in an episode of Dark Shadows with Jonathan Frid (Barnabas Collins), before Larry had his career-ending stroke 27:34-31:09 Larry’s life changes for the worse 😭😭😭 31:23-31:38 the Kooks Tour theme had me dying laughing 😂 36:37-38:34 here’s pie in your eye 40:53-41:41 Japan is Godzilla country 🇯🇵 48:07-51:08 only the son of Moe can get away with that 😂

I’m 51, all I watched when I was a little boy was the 3 Stooges. My father loved them therefore I grew up with them and loved them as well. Watching this series has brought back so many memories, such a good feeling inside. I tear up with all my thoughts. What icons, what extraordinary people you all were and are. I wish I can personally say hi someday. Thank you again.

This was my favorite part of the series. I had always thought once Curly Joe was introduced they kind of just flopped, but it was awesome to see them going well into the 60's pulling crowds like the Beatles!

My Uncle, actor Bo Anderson, worked with the Three Stooges in Snow White and the Three Stooges. Never knew that until recently when doing an IMDB search. Wished I could have met the Stooges in person but happy to settle for meeting Moe's Daughter Joan and Curly's youngest Grandson. Already been to all their graves to pay my respects.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO CREATE AND SHARE THESE PRECIOUS MOMENTS, MEMORIES, AND EXPERIENCES WITH US. I've loved the Three Stooges my entire life. It wasn't until recently though that I learned how hard these men worked, how much dedication they had, and how much they went through to create these characters, and to keep them going. I have found a huge admiration, as well as a HUGE🙏RESPECT for these men, this family of brothers, and their history. This was a AMAZING series of videos! I plan to binge watch them again and again, as well as show friends these wonderful stories. Thank you again and Rest In Peace🙏🕊🙏🕊🕊🙏🕊🙏🙏🕊 to all of these legendary actors. Iconic men, and incredibly talented comedic geniuses. Sleep well and be with God.

It's too bad they didn't find Curley Joe DeRita until after Besser. I think things would have been a little different had CJD been Shemps replacement. One of my favorite Stooge Cameos is their few seconds as firemen in Mad Mad Mad World
@markcarlson6950
@markcarlson6950 2 года назад
According to Moe's autobiography, Moe wanted Joe DeRita, but Harold Minsky had Joe under contract. No matter how much begging and pleading Moe did to Minsky, he would't cut Joe out of his contract. So, they got Joe Besser to finish out the shorts contract. When Besser couldn't continue with the Stooges, Moe got lucky, and found that Joe DeRita's contract was about to end, so then they were able to get Curly Joe.

I’m one of the minority that likes Besser as the third Stooge - but I have to shake my head in wonder at the extent he went to bend the whole 3-person dynamic to himself rather than integrating himself into the existing dynamic. Suggesting Moe and Larry change their hair? But his films are the ones I first saw as a child, then Shemp’s (I grew to like him more and more as I got older), and finally Curly. Then on to the features with Curly Joe (a really good choice for 3rd Stooge).

Seeing the picture of Moe and Larry in their later days made me cry 😢❤ when I was a kid in the 90s watching the stooges I didn't realize that they were already gone.. I really thought my whole childhood that I would meet them one day.. Just glad we still have many of their work archived so that it lives on forever ❤

Moe has always been my favorite stooge. Shemp is just as funny as Curly, its a tie. Moe makes me laugh my ass off and Its his ridiculous meanness. Eye pokes and scissors on the nose are brutally funny. All the stooges acting is excellent too. They react realistically.

Wow...I had no idea they were as big as they were in the 60s and 70s, that's awesome. I'm wondering, you know the movie about Laurel and Hardy that came out not long ago....wonder if there was any talk of doing a Stooge one like that? Not the movie, but a more serious one

The story of the Three Stooges is just as, if not more exhilarating as the work they did! How (I always thought) Shimp was a "poor replacement for curly" was actually THE original third stooge! Terribly sad, yet motivating life story... Moe watched so many stooges die/lose their ability (in a sense...) He seemed to take it so well. But Larry's death seemed to be all he could handle... Moe past on 4 months after, still trying to preform. While the set "led him on" "We'll record next weekend... We'll record next weekend..." His and their work ethic, and just their morals in life... So few could even remotely compare these days... And in many-to-most ways, people like them will never be seen again... I only wish they fully understood how much they were loved... (Example) They were taking a train to a show to preform, a crowd of at least a thousand were waiting for their chance to see them walk passed... And Moe was modest enough to ask who the VIP's were A true man in every sense of the term I could go on for ever....

@rocistone6570
@rocistone6570 2 года назад
Hackett was hard to work with, as we used to say in the old days. It was his way or the highway most of the time, which is why so few people wanted to work with him. He would have made a better "Ted Healy" Than another member of the group.
