Flying drones or model aircraft can be a very rewarding and exciting hobby, but it can also be hard to know where to start. Our best advice for this is to find your local model flying club and join our association.
Your local model flying club will offer a social environment, in a safe location, full or people with knowledge and experience that they will happily pass down to you to help you learn.
HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT LINKS:
Point 1 - Our 'Quick Start Guides' to make the rules easier to understand:

Point 2 - Find somewhere safe:
Finding a model flying club is easy, just add your location and select a discipline and radius, then let the club finder show you your local affiliated clubs.
BMFA Club Finder - bmfa.justgo.com/clubFinder.html
Point 3 - Insurance:
Membership to either the British Model Flying Association or the British Drone Flyers, offers you the same class leading insurance package as part of membership. Joining either association gives you all of the same benefits, with the only difference being that BDF membership provides an information feed to you as a member focussed more on drones as the name suggests. You can find out more about joining either type using the links below.
