Those razor darts are extremely deadly with good shot placement. I shot a groundhog on vid a few weeks ago right through the lungs died within 30 sec.

Jack grabbed that 2nd squirrel out of mid air, awesome. Best thing about hunting with a dog is watching them work, seeing them in their element doing what they were bred generation after generation to do. Another kick ass video

What you are calling "red squirrels" are in reality "fox squirrels". Bigger than "grey squirrels", which are bigger than "red/pine squirrels".

had a dog in the past that had a THIRST for squirrel. He'd damn near catch them falling out of the trees. Saw him reach his giant muzzle under the bottom of a wooden fence and snatch a running squirrel once. That boy got bit one time.... I dont think a single bone was left unbroken after that! Heard a loud yelp from the bushes and then he was going crazy on that thing. used to have to trade him milk bones for squirrels. Miss that darn dog.

I used to have a dog like Jack, just a little guy, but would have took on a mountain lion.

Jack at the end of the video sounds like my 8 1/2 year old golden retriever. Call and call and she'll ignore you if it's someone she knows. As for deer, squirrel, ground hog, she'll stop and look at us as though waiting for permission to chase them down.

Them Patterdales are one of my favs .... My grandfather had 4 of them he used on coyote fox and anything else that went underground. When I was a KId HE even bred an elite hybred tunnel K9 a killing machine patterdale X bull terrier cross was the most beautiful dog Id ever seen caught everything. Another one would be a Jag X bull terrier cross absolutely perfect

How long are those darts you are using on squirrel hunting? Do you use same darts to all kind of prey? Clearly those are not 14.5cm Razor tip darts

Huge fan of your channel. I’m loving the videos of Jack learning his role as your hunting partner! Personally I’ve been training my female Vizsla for the last year to hunt and retrieve all small game (fur and feather). She is finally ready for her first hunting season, so I can fully appreciate the work it takes and how rewarding it is to have a canine hunting companion. Please keep the Jack content coming!

What is the maximum hunting range for the cold steel blowgun. Or what are the best distances for hunting with the blowgun. Where I live, here in Germany, I am not allowed to hunt with a blowgun, but I can shoot it. And I wanna go somewhere where I can hunt with a blowgun in the future. And so therefore I wanna be prepared and wanna practice so that my shots be on point. So I set up a 3d rabbit target and now wanna shoot at it at different distances and different positiones like in a tree or laying on the ground. Awesome videos Best regards from Germany!

I have had a few Terriers all were for hunting. For a young dog Jack is fat in the loin, too many little treats maybe? I guess thats fair enough though he is mostly a pet, not a working dog.

squirrels are tough as nails. that first shot barely phased him but that second shot hit him good. you can hear it like a drum when you get them in the belly. a lot of times they can take two or three through and through to the body and still be hanging on. tough animal this is what makes them fun to hunt.

Come to England the squirrels come to you. Go into any wood or park and hundreds of the tree rats.
