What wrong with a lay person if he/she indeed support a country outside the country of its citizenship? Many Indians who have become permanent citizens of US would still want India to succeed and become global power. That definitely not seditious too. Liking or not liking any nation involves interplay of emotions which are shaped by social circumstances. A person may like or celebrate n number of things. Thats nobody's business to peep into. The only concerns though is that, he/she must abide by the constitutionary rules which his citizenship in that country demands. Outside these rules nothing should apply!

Capitalism has to come before socialism, there's no way around it. Lenin's failed collectivisation proved it. Capitalism is also supposed to destroy old feudal structure and make your entire social structure market oriented. That's how an industrial society is supposed to orient itself. So caste system should dissolve. So I don't think Santan Dharma will cease to exist without caste because lots of yajnas and structures have shifted over thousands of years, Indra who was a primary deity is now considered a kroodh demi God. Imagine calling Indra kroodh 2000 years ago. I think industrialization is enough for it. Destruction of rural system and mass urbanization is key. India has protected rural system since independence which is why caste bonds are relevant even now in most areas.

One of these days I'd like to come and debate what exactly we understand as socialism and capitalism. As a self-identified communist, among other things, I often feel confused by the definitions you use. Socialism is not about 'regulation'. Saying it can exist alongside capitalism is like saying you can be a dog and a cat at the same time.

Necessity is the mother of invention. This is what we have heard and we think people are content that will take away the necessity for innovation. You are wrong and right. But it won’t harm us or our development as a society. Yes we will see decline of a lot of unnecessary products, we will have less inventions on different flavours of noodles and puzza, or different iPhone models. But we will see mind blowing innovation in sectors of food, dealing with viral diseases, all sectors of health and basic needs across the world. We will see development in creating eco friendly solutions and living in harmony with nature. We will have better work life balance and greed can be neutralized. We will live happier, in a more stable environment and society. Less wars and peaceful existences. Maybe we can actually create wormholes then. I know it’s a fancy idea but if done right socialism would help humanity thrive.

It’s simple actually. 1. Atheism has nothing to do with morality. Atheism is not a position on moral ideas. As vimoh said that a person can be moral or immoral independent of their religious beliefs, so a person being religious or atheist doesn’t guareentee their moral believes and assuming the contrary would be a hasty generalisation. 2. Throughout history, we see violence conducted by religious people due to/ motivated by their religious believes, whereas violence caused by atheists due to/ motivated by their atheists believes is almost null. Pay attention that I mentioned “motivated by atheist believes”, for example an atheist person kills their spouse for infidelity, that will be a personal crime, this crime was not motivated by their atheist ideas whereas throughout history when religious kill masses in the name of conversion, heresy, preaching, etc that is motivated by religious ideas and is not crime due to personal reasons. Try finding examples of atheists who killed masses to convert them to atheists. To add to my point, I’d also say that according to statistics, prisoners who are atheists are way too less than prisoners who are theists in these current times, though we can ignore this point because atheists constitute a minority around the world. Now talking about my reason to help a person in atrocity- A society or a group is bonded through trust and unity. Philanthropy and communication is the way to build that trust so that everyone stays in harmony in the group and the group stays strong. Humans have come to become social animals through evolution so it’s very intuitive that human conscience will want to have some unspoken rules imposed on themselves to maintain that prosperity in society and increase social acceptance. And these rules get habituated over time. Now, for those complex situations in morality. I will take an example “A transgender boy who undergoes affirmative surgery to acquire female genitals because they think they are gender is feminine. Now they have sex and hopes for a relationship with a straight male. She stayed hesitant to tell him about her past because she anticipated a breakup if she did. But when the male came to know about her past, he was angered and declared breakup saying his life is ruined”. Now different people will have different moral views on this complex situation. So while some parts of morality is objective like no murder, help each other, etc (the basic ones), morality also has some parts which are subjective and are open to discussion. Morality is neither objective nor is it subjective, it is rather a spectrum. We observe this as we look into cultures all round the world where different cultures have different views on the same moral issues.
