Threshold is just like the mighty Dream Theater only less known. Threshold has got al fabulous drummer as well, the great Johanne James, applaud this man.Mac is the best singer i have heard in a lot of years. There is not many singers in rock and metal better than him. RIP Mac.
In my 11,000-plus song collection there are some 100 songs I awarded a (subjective) score of 4 maximum stars. This is one of them. True rock greatness and an absolute killer chorus, by a very much underrated band.
why the hell does this song/band get so little attention?! narcissus alone is an epochal song. one level with stairway to heaven, nothing else matters, bohemian rhapsody and so on.
Damian was the original singer for the band. Only thing is only a few of their best and most well known songs were sung by him or Glynn, most of them we had Mac singing, and in my opinion he has the best voice of the three.
Wow. This is hard to play live. Good job! I like the alternativ beginning. But I wish they'd played the middle part (before the solos). btw: Why does the director despise Richard West? He's never shown.
Think I wrote it somewhere, but anyway, the last solo is on the top of the list of solos of heavy metal/rock n roll - heavy, melodic and in the fucking right moment!
With all due respect and in interest of "Threshold" quality.... You need a frontman who has similar vocal sound. Your current vocalist is good but a different animal IMO suited to a different sound. Mac had a great voice.... you really felt and believed every word he sang. I just can't feel Damian Wilson live, he looks a little wooden. On CD it sounds ok. Maybe we were spoilt with Mac's sound. Hey my comments are not to flame anyone or hurt feelings. The band sound to good for is voice.
I felt the same, Damian is a good vocalist like really really good but not a good fit for Threshold. What are you thoughts now with Glynn back? I think he's brilliant live and had got that power in his delivery. Much more suited to the Threshold sound.
I love Damian Wilson on anything he turns his voice to, with the exception of Threshold. To me they don’t gel like Mac or Glynn. I love Macs voice and was dubious of any release after he left and subsequently died. Glynn blew me away with Shires and two zero one seven. Both studio and live albums are knock out.
