The "Property of TiM" shirt goes to a This is Me doll (kind of similar to Groovy Girls, but more teenage). I think you found another of their shirts in one of your thrifting videos. "TiM" in this case stands for "This is Me"
That fairy Barbie you picked up at the beginning with the pretty screening and small wings is Catania from Mariposa and the Fairy Princess movie line from 2013. Got mine secondhand and she's absolutely stunning when cleaned up and her hair is so pretty. The other Barbie you were looking at with the purple long skirt is Fairy Secret Barbie and looked like she was missing her wings :)
her purple skirt i'm pretty sure is her wings because it was a transformation doll, but I used to have her as a kid and I remember it working that way :D
This past Friday I got to visit Alabama. I got to visit Nostalgia, 2 Dirt Cheaps, America's Thrift, Once Upon a Child and Buccee. The best day trip ever! Your videos were totally my inspiration.
Hey Brooke I know I have a spare top for Fountain Mermaid Barbie when I find it it's yours if you want it. Also the red head is Glitter Hair Barbie, the purple/red dress is a fashion pack for Earring Magic Barbie, and the cape is the Winter Belle by Mattel. 💖💖💖 yeay congrats on your 90s Barbie Haul.
Your thrift videos have honestly inspired me to go thrift stores that I've never been beforehand and in general have helped me be more outgoing especially since I moved in a new location in my city.
New subscriber here- I’m so jealous of your thrift stores!! It’s so hard to find dolls where I am. Lots of plush but the doll selection is lacking. What a fun video!
Both the Romantic Interlude and Tangerine Twist dolls have the same mold: Nichelle, which originated as part of the Shani line from the early 90s. Interlude is from '97 and Tangerine is from '98. They are great dolls, and it's not a very common mold. It was just used on the 2022 Madame C.J. Walker Barbie.
The fact that I was here the same day you posted this... wild! I'm the one who DM'd you about the doll at the thrift store, it's so wild to see the same doll in a video!!! Nostalgia didn't yield many dolls for me either. I was maybe going to get that Mulan doll because I think she's the same one I had as a kid but her joints were reeeeaally stiff, so I passed. I just got some LPS, some Ken clothes to tailor for other dolls, and a couple Barbie chairs.
😫 American thrift stores are so good. I don’t know if it’s just where I live or if I’m not looking in the right places but whenever go to a thrift store there are barely any dolls and if they are they are usually just barbie. One time I was lucky and found a MH original Persephone (idk how to spell her name) with a 2015 reproduction Clawdeen’s dress and some kind of Lagoona’s shoes.
I feel the same. I'm from Belgium and our thrift stores just aren't it 😅 Mostly knock-off dolls, I did once find a Jasmine Disney store doll (but her hair was terrible, so I had to cut it short) and a Creatable World doll (which was great and started my Creatable World collection XD)
The vintage Barbies bring back so many memories! I had so many of the one you showed when I was younger ❤ I’m pretty sure my mom still have some of them somewhere but they’re probably not in good shape haha
if you go to dollar tree and either buy the nock off barbies fashion pack or one of the dolls with the pink pump heels they fit 90's and 2000s-2013 barbies really well. and they would look cute on the totally hair barbie!!
omg yaaaas you got a Tangerine Twist Barbie! (the one in the orange outfit with the screening you haven't seen before) She was my first doll of 2022 and she's so beautiful on display with the other doll in her line
Thank you so much for filming these videos of these awesome toy stores, and then showing us what you got, lots of these dolls are from the 80’s and that was my daughter’s generation. You showed Barbie silk stone dolls one time and I have some, they are so beautiful and I feel very lucky to have them. ❤❤
Girl, that yellow bag of Barbies is my childhood nostalgia! I would have snapped up most of that, and I would have taken that yellow Minnie mouse bag too, that thing is so '90s! The soft body Barbie is Bedtime Barbie and she came with a pink pajama dress and had color change features to make her eyes open/close. The blue Cowboy one is Western Stampin' Barbie. The one in the scuba outfit is Ocean Friends Barbie and she came with a baby whale and had color change legs (if I remember correctly). I still have those somewhere in my dad's house I think, miss them so much! The Locket Surprise Barbie is gorgeous. That Polly Pocket, OMG! I love the Poopsie unicorn. The mermaid with pink hair is Fountain Mermaid Barbie. The LOL pets are Vampurrr(goes with Countess and OMG Spirit Queen) and Cowardly Kitty(goes with Goodie and OMG Miss Celebrate). The Swim OMG is Coastal Q.T. and they were not actually supposed to come with articulation at all, that was some kind of happy accident for those of us who were able to find them (though for some strange reason their stock photos show them with articulation?). I have an army too, mine is Kirby! This video was extra fun for me, thank you so much for sharing it!
Ooh aging myself here, but as a kid I wanted that hula hair barbie so badly. Sadly never got her. I think the pink cape might belong to the '92 Belle doll in her winter outfit.
Hi, the little purple/red Barbie dress (shown around 44 min mark) is from one of 4 sold separately fashions made for Earring Magic Barbie around 1992. It came with a small little jacket in the same red color as parts of the dress and there was a Barbie "B" hanging from the chain around the waist. Cute little dress!
I quite like the big Poopsie Unicorns. The ones that don't have a dancing gimmick. They have great hair and they make me laugh. I have 2 found in boot sales and one of the lamas. They are fun and they literrally cost me peanuts. I would not mind to have one smaller one too. My favourite of the Poopsie line are the Cutie Tooties. They are adorable. I pick them in boot sales too and I start to have a cool collection of them. I also love the Sparkly Critters. This Poopsie line was so cool and creative.
I feel you with the confederate stuff… that’s Alabama for you lol, being in WV going into flea markets I see that stuff so often and it’s just😬😬. A lot of other great finds though!! You give me hope I’ll see some of those dolls around here one day for my collection.🫶
Awe I’ll have to remember lol pets I’ll have to check if I have any kitties I turn the large ones into necklaces. My daughter gets all my bracelets from the mini pets. But I also make the lils pets into bracelets as well ❤️🤗
When the lady gave you that bag, I saw dolls from my childhood in there, I am a 90s doll collector they’re the dolls I grow up with. I recognized one immediately which was the one with the very long hair it was my childhood favorite totally hair Barbie.
The TIM shirt is from a line called This Is Me (T.I.M.). They’re early 2000s soft body dolls. Not a riddle sorry. Oh but a fun fact! Cepia (the company that made TIM) also makes Zhu Zhu Pets, I think under their Blue Whale subdivision
Ugh that bag of barbies is my era. 😍 U got some good ones! I have hula hair Barbie in the box. I would have bought the whole bag tbh. I had so many of those!
Everytime I go thrifting some store are just bad. Like goodwill and such. But I have one store I love that have tons and I mean tons of barbie dolls still in boxes.
12:25 The fairy with the small wings and purple dress is the princess from the 2nd Barbie Mariposa movie. On 11:35 the cherry shirt is part of a Barbie top model outfit :)
Great finds! I love Barbie from the 90s and the Hula and the Totally hair are two amazing finds! 🧡 Thank you for this video, I always love your thrift store videos..😊♥️
Hi Brooke! At 12:30 that is Catania from Barbie Mariposa and the Butterfly Princess (the second Mariposa movie) At 30:49 that is 2008 Barbie Luv Me 3 Taffy and Puppies, wearing her original outfit minus the shoes. She is the closed mouth variant. At 32:48 I think that is 1999 Princess Barbie wearing 2000 Flower Power Barbie's shirt, and at 45:26 that cape is from 1992 Beauty and the Beast Winter Belle
These are my favorite videos to watch!! I love seeing all the cool stuff you find :) I was so happy to see that you had uploaded an hour long thrift doll hunt!
Just helped me identify a Barbie i found. i didn't know she was a Hula Barbie! now i can look for her clothes! I also got her for her colorful hair. her hair unfortunately is very frizzy and not sure how to fix it.
Ahhh wow haha I still have several of the Barbies you got this time! Hula Hair, the pink mermaid, Totally Hair... and if I remember correctly, the hula Barbie did have loose waist/hip joints on purpose so you could make her "hula" more easily lol. Wild to realize that these are my childhood, and other adult collectors haven't seen them before! They're super nostalgic for me! Just goes to show that despite changing fashions and base designs, dolls are ultimately timeless.
Not me being able to name nearly every 90s doll you pulled out of that bag 😂 best era!! The blue dress is 1999 Holiday Barbie and the gold is 2000 Holiday Barbie ;)
I grew up with that Butterfly Princess Barbie and now she has a home with my nieces. :) I was listening to this and I heard you mention butterflies so I looked and it was her! Shame the butterflies didn't have their wings, though.
I can’t wait for the small plushies for Care Bears that are supposed to come out this year. You showed them at one of the toy fairs you were at… they are perfectly sized for my SmartDolls.
Henlo, you just earned a new subscriber!🎉 I'm halfway through the video. Im new 2 doll collecting so this is been interesting... I need to check out my local thrift stores and see if I can find any of the OG Monster High... I've been on the hunt to find a Esmeralda with the her dance outfit the one that you found.
Those barbies are amazing! I am also not familar with them. I also love my little pony! Ponies are my thing! that Minty is great find :3 I want to see your Minty army sometime!xd
The vintage Barbie with pink hair is the pink version of the Mermaid Barbie from 1992. I knew because still have the pearl earrings, and i had the violet one. parts of her hair can change of color with cold water. Was my first Barbie doll. Still have it, but very deteriorated (i still have the shiny tail, anyways)...the interesting other doll with the pink heart in the chest is a Barbie Locket Surprise, from 1993 (i remember saw her in toy stores in that time)
You should get the Pocahontas friend doll as they don’t really make any dolls from that movie and clothing or no I think she’s a good find. Also your lounging pants are adorable
I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure the pink cape with the fur lined hood goes to a holiday Belle doll! I had one when I was little (early 90s) and I think she had a cape that looked like that :)
Hi I love your videos. Where is the thrift store with the doll room located. I would love for you to show more of the Barbie furniture. It's hard finding affordable use furniture where aI live. Thanks for sharing.
31:20 the mermaid was a splash and style mermaid I believe this were the last mermaid dolls with the silicone tails!!! I have her in box and I want to get one out of box just because she’s sooo pretty
The Barbie with heart molded chest with handle is locket surprise I own 2 versions of her. I have spare clothes I can send you. I've wanted to send you goodies for awhile so been watching all your videos to find out what you need so I don't send you stuff you already have lol
Hey Brooke you probably don't remember me from one of your live streams but I'm the one that did donate 10 dollars to you via a dog little sticker emote but I really look up to you as one of my favorite doll RU-vidrs thanks for all that you've done with us and I just want to say you helped me get through the tough times of people making fun of me for doll collecting as a hobby and your right I only do it as a fun hobby and thanks for all your help and everything you do and you made me a stronger person because of you thanks for being a amazing loving sweet and kind person and if you see this or if you reply to me at all I just wamt to say I appreciate you and all that you have done for me
I don't know for certain what the Property of Tim shirt goes to, but I almost wonder if it goes to the TIM dolls. TIM stands for This Is Me, and they were a line of fabric dolls (think kind of like Beanie Boppers and Groovy Girls) that got advertised ALL THE TIME when I was a kid in the early 2000s. Google shows that they might be made by Ganz? Like the same company behind Webkinz? Which would make sense. I did manage to find the commercial here on RU-vid (uploaded 15 years ago, WOW), and I THINK the shirt you have might go to the character Denny, albeit some kind of variant? But I'm not positive. Best of luck solving the mystery. Sorry I couldn't deliver that in riddle form, but I get the sense there's still a puzzle to solve there.
the one u left behind is one i had and LOVED and i still have her shirt. she came with a dog and there was some kinda gimmick but she was that girl. my guess it was around 2009??? give or take a year or two.
the only barbie i had as a kid was one of the mermaid ones with the latex/silicone tails. i didnt care for dolls as a kid but i LOVED the tail, i bashed that poor barbie against the bathtub all the time trying to rip it off her lol
