I like how you refurbished your footstool but my favorite is the orange vase. I m not really a huge fan of orange, but for some reason I love the DIY color. I would like a little more gold I think, but the vase is my favorite today!

What a great idea! Putting a heating pad on a footstool. This would be great for my 96 yo mom. Also using mineral spirits to make a glaze with the wax is pure genius. Great video Rachael.

I love the fabric on the stool!!! Next time you need to clamp on a rounded surface, put a flat board on both sides so the clamp is on a flat surface. 😊

Every piece you do is lovely. I, too, was surprised at the not-so-wonderful result of adding the dark wax to the vase. Like you, I thought that would be perfect. But! The gold highlight absolutely saved the vase. The more I look at it, the more I love it. And the step stool❤❤❤! The fabric complements the Farmgirl green very well. Thanks for the video ~ 🐓

I just refinished my grandmother's vanity, and I covered the bench with that exact fabric! I used an IOD floral transfer on the mirror and used Fusion's Raw Silk. I really like your creativity!

*My FAVORITE project today is THE VASE!!! 🧡 Rachel, I really like how the dark wax took a bit of the 🔆🔅brightness🔅🔆 away of the Summer Crush, and the GOLD HIGHLIGHTS elevated the vase to new heights; especially where you gilded the dragonflies' wings❣️ The added gold trim at the top rim and base finished off this vase perfectly and made it SO PRETTY. 😍 It's actually one of the BEST upcycles you have done, IMHO, and I am so glad you DIDN'T leave it out of your video. 😉🧡🍃* *I also liked the dimunitive footstool....of course, without the distressing, for MY taste. 😉 The floral fabric has a celebratory feeling about it, to me, as though the flowers 💐 are eagerly lifting their faces to the sunshine, and basking in its warmth. 🌞 For whatever reason, the footstool seems friendly and welcoming to me. 😊 Of course, I would not distress the Fancy Farm Girl DIY Paint, but you do you, Rachel, my friend❣️* *Rachel, before I forget, months ago you told me where you shopped for your pretty clothing and I saw a lovely selection of items. As you were doing the stool, I was saying, “Gold wax, gold wax!” But I agree with you. Wondering if the prettiness of that pattern didn’t suit the fall colors. Loved the video!

Hey Miss Rachel! Loved that you showed us the fabric and paint that would be getting used. Love the sunflower tray. So simple but it is like looking at a sunflower against a beautiful blue sky. Ok, I don't hate the Crush vase, more like hmmm. Is there such a thing as a green wax? Would the dark oil settled in the cracks better than the wax? I'm stumped. Fantastic job on the foot stool. Won't that be a blessing to give someone with cold feet for the winters! Wow, talking was quite the challenge, LOL. I talk the same way. You looked so much more relaxed than I have seen you lately. I'm Not a huge fan of anything orange except in the fall, but I don't hate that vase... It's pretty in its very own way! I love sunflowers, so that one is my fave, but I think you should try sunflowers with blue iris... You will be asking yourself why you never did that if you haven't already... I PROMISE ❤❤❤

Love the footstool ❤. The orange and blue are not colors I like. The blue just reminds me too much of 80’s boys bedroom colors. Definitely not a color I’m a fan of. The orange would be beautiful on pumpkins though

I think the vase ended up lovely. I love dragonflies, and I think the gold wax brought them to the front, and they look beautiful

That fabric most definitely was NOT salvageable. It looked like some cats used it as a scratching post.
