I have that green "tinker bell" skirt! I bought it exactly 10 years ago when I was in highschool! It is supposed to be a skirt, that's what it was advertised as in the shop I bought it at. I was on a school trip and we saw a play that evening after shopping. I didn't want to wear my sweaty jeans and t'shirt so I wore it as a dress actually lol. If you look inside, under the skirt, you will find 4 little snaps. Connect them and it will create a beautiful flowing effect! Which looks much better imo.
I also had a skirt like this! It was a brighter iridescent green and blue. I always wondered if it was a dress or skirt but wore it as a skirt. I gave it away years ago but still think of it from time to time. And now to read that it had snaps that I never knew of! If I still had it I’d be scrambling to find those snaps.
Here’s a little tip for you on stains. Test an inconspicuous spot for color fastness of the garment first, but if you put Dawn dish soap and oven cleaner on the stain (the cheap dollar store kind works fine) you can get out a lot of stains even if they’ve been laundered before. Put it all over the stain and let it sit in a sink or plastic bag for an entire 24 hour period-do not put water on it. Launder like usual. Sometimes if the stain is particularly bad, you may have to repeat the oven cleaner and dish soap stain remover again if the stain didn’t full come out. Do not breathe the fumes from the oven cleaner because when you first spray it it’s quite bad. Either spray and jump away or wear a face mask while spraying oven cleaner.
The vibe of your videos is always so calm and soothing, love it! I don't believe in mermaids that are half human, half fish - but there are definitely people who are really in tune with the ocean, the element of water, the tides and the moon.
I had that green dress/skirt thing in yellow/black, green/black and orange/black like a decade ago. They were sold at Ross as multiuse dress/skirts 🙃 I loved them.
I also had a lilac version of that green skirt/dress. I was sure it was meant to be a strapless dress, but I wore it as a skirt because I did it my way 😁
I love thrift shopping! Totally agree about being strict, I often go overboard. All those shops had such neat stuff, loved the vid ❤ edit: I definitely plan on checking out that Nebula projector
Do you know you’ve found your favorite type of aesthetic when you feel so happy and almost want to cry happy tears due to the comfort of it all? Is that what it means? No seriously I need help I think I’m in love 💀
I lub your style, I’m addicted to watching thrift videos but 95% of any I watch are completely different style wise from what I generally wear. Your whole vibe and stuff is a lot closer to my thing though which is niceeee
For the dress/skirt, you can see if there is a side tag near the bottom! Most of them identify the clothing. Or, on the top of it, if there are those ribbon/plastic straps for extra hanging support. it's a dress! If nothing is there then I am sorry been there before, normally would just switch it back and forth.
Karen Scott is a store brand for the Hecht Company (That was the name here in Maryland, anyway). Hecht’s was on the higher end side of the market, but not as far up as Macy’s, if that makes sense. I loved Karen Scott stuff because it reminded me so much of the Liz Claiborne styles from back in the 80’s-yes, I’m that old. LOL. The Rider’s are probably from Lee Jeans. The Calvins are probably women’s jeans. They were also huge back in the 70’s and 80’s-Brooke Shields was in an ad that caused a scandal because she said ‘Nothing comes between me and my Calvins’. A little fashion history for you hahaha.
All of your videos, tips and fashion sense inspire me a lot To me you're the coolest person on earth haha thanks for keeping up with the videos because they highlight my day and are very fun :)
omg I was watching the shopping and I instantly recognized everything since I pass by downtown everyday! I will have to take a look since I LOVE this aesthetic! :)
You are really easy to listen to. I cant be done with a lot of the dark and light academia people. Maybe its because we share the witchy vibe but youre much more like the way I was at your age than any of these other girls on here. Love what you got!
omg i hope this isn’t weird i saw the shops you were going to and instantly realized we live in the same area!! i just found you rn on youtube that’s so crazy. i love psychic sisters i got some stuff there the other day
i really need to go thrifting but ive just been so busy lately and my finals are comingup and i need to stuff and yea :( , but on the bright side i have enough time to watch your video, because your videos bring me peace and i love your voice :)
how in love i am with every video you make... You're such an inspiration, your dressing style is just so pleasing! You really are one of my favorite ytb channel for sure! Wish you the best ♡ + I'm OBSESSED can I ask you where you got that cute top you wear on the first outfit? 🥺 (the one you alsowore in your winter recommendations video) thank you!
Dear Veda, you are my muse! If only you could film those sweet moments of inspiration more often... but I understand you - quality content takes time, indeed. Also, you are an autumn person, like myself, and this unbearable heat is not at all conductive to any kind of productivity. I hope you are feeling well... have in mind that many of us here are longing for your enchanted content. 🖤
I think I got them on Amazon, and I searched something similar to “jean adjuster buckles” or something along those lines! I can’t find the exact link though.
Love the style. And as an opinion, I think you should feel more confident with your thoughts. "I don't know" indicates you are uncertain, but really most of fashion is subjective. Own it! You don't need anyone else agreeing, it's your clothes.
hello! I am a videographer and I was wondering what is the lamp you have that’s glowing in the background? Its so perfect as a background practical light and I totally want to buy one!
I'm not joking- can I buy the skirt and the green jumper off you?? They are literally what I've been trying to look for for so long. Let me know if you're down 😅🥺
The reason little boy pants fit as high waisted pants for women is because they leave extra room in the crotch for boys and it ends up creating a high waisted look on adult women 😂 that was a trick my sister and I did in high school all the time! We bought boy jeans from Walmart/goodwill and turned them into high waisted shorts.
I only wash my hair once or twice a week and I also use a scalp massager when I shampoo! It helps to stimulate the hair follicles and I think it helps a lot. Also, thank you 🥰
@@vedacorvus thanks. I was thinking Canada because Value Village is usually Savers in the US, but for some reason the North West is also Value Village.
I've had sleeping problems and insomnia since I was a child and one of the things which makes me fall asleep calmly and fully is I kid you not, sex.😅Kinda tmi and of course it's not something I go around suggesting to anyone. There is some science behind it though and it's literally the only thing that works for me. Your voice is very calming and I love your vids and vibe.
