HimYvonne! You do an amazing job on all these. I sure wish I had your eye for what things cam become. I wouldn’t have been able to see the potential in the little mirror. It is so adorable now. My favorite is the box with the French word on it. So so cute! Thanks for sharing! 🌸💕🌸
I love how you take so much care tightening up any item that needs it! You are so conscientious of your items and I think that’s why your items always turn out so beautifully! You truly are one of a kind and I have loved your channel since I first found you! I’m a subscriber for life!!
So hard to pick a favorite ! But that Mirror is too sweet! I would have not tried to do what you do.... I don’t have glass cutting skills and my husband would use a chainsaw on it.......😳😳. LOL! Those trays are fabulous...loving the black one with that finishing wax ! You are so blessed to have a husband who loves to up cycle like you do OR he is lucky to have YOU who loves to do up cycling! Either way... beautiful match ! My husband ...”throw it away” UNLESS it is a tractor ! Then he is in heaven sand blasting, priming, painting and decals! 🤷♀️ Magical again... Hugs dear one 🧡🧡🍁🍁🧡🧡
Oh Jayne... Every husband has his own set of talents. But yes I'm blessed that we like similar things. Thank you for watching. You are always so supportive.🥰
I think my favorite is the postale box. I would use it on my exposed pantry shelf for dark storage for potatoes, onions, and garlic. It would also be great in an entryway as a keys, wallet, watch drawer and catch-all up top.
When I saw the mirror I thought that a piece of wood could be put in it and to then make a sign out of it. I don't know if I would have bought the postale. To me it looks like a smaller version of a potato and onion holder. I fell in love with the white tray. I have to say I love what you did. Again I learn new ways of doing things. Thank you for this video.
All lovely pieces I think the mirror is my fave I have no problem cutting mirror or glass and it would have made a great photo frame for a black and white photo. I loved the black tray too though I actually prefer it before the distressing. Thanks for sharing love your work ❤️
Really enjoy your channel. ALL of these items are sweetly upcycled 💕. Top picks for me = 1. Two trays, 2. Post box, 3. Mirror 🏆. Chris, nice work 👏👏! And, I wouldn't pass on any reasonable projects that need glass or mirror replacement. My basic skills and tools for stained glass crafting are used occasionally. Long ago, I built only 2 lead-came windows (too tricky for me and specialty colored glass is expen$ive), but, I made many copper-foil windchimes and suncatchers. It's quicker and fun, imo, to use glass cutters to make vases and candleholders cut from wine and smaller bottles!
I love how you explain everything your doing and all the smallest to the largest details. I'm learning so much!! I'm going to be in my first craft show this May. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge, I love learning from you!!
Another masterclass in upcycling and rehabbing... Love the wax on black now.. quite taken with it.. must get some dark wax! Great work. Have a great week Yvonne.
My first choice is the mirror and then the postale box, but I would use the box as a breadbox. You always do a superb transformation no matter how bad the items are.
I liked the mirror and the storage box! My hubby cuts glass and mirror too! So it would not have kept me from picking it up. It would also have made a cute kitchen menu sign!!
Hi Yvonne, loved the video and all items, the postale box reminds me of a recipe box my mom had in her kitchen. ... I'm under repair right now, I was cutting a large branch with a lauper, it came down all right, hit me on the side of the head, took me down right off my feet, scraped my arm on a aluminum sawhorse, sprained 2 fingers, the saw fell on my (good) shoulder. Good thing I'm a retired nurse, I didn't have to go to ER but man am I a hurting unit. It knocked some sense into me, I can't be doing shit like that when I'm alone. Ok, enough about that....Take care...stay safe...
@@GingerChickRehab In a retail space, it gives customers options. Plus, they might get one for themselves and gift the other. As always, you do a wonderful job.
The trays are my favorite I like both the black and white. They are so beautiful. I would have never thought of picking them up. Thank you for sharing with us 👏🌿🤍🌿👏
I really like that you mention mistakes because it makes me feel less bad about myself.... Sometimes I end up having to throw things away because I mess up.☹️
Oh yes human I am ( not to quote Yoda) lol. Mistakes happen all the time. Hopefully it something one can get past. Or oh well... 🤗don’t ever feel bad. 💖
All of them are so nice. I would have had a piece of glass cut for the mirror if I had bought it. You do such a beautiful job on everything. Hubby too.
Beautiful! The mirror is my favorite. Before you said you were going to put a mirror in it I thought some chicken wire in the back would look cute a hanging jewelry on. Everything turned out beautiful! 💖💜💖
How cute is that mirror. I love it just the way it is, chunky knobs and all! Glass scares me, especially cutting it, so I would have probably put a piece of bead board , or some pretty floral background in it (or both, as in a pretty floral decoupaged onto the bead board) but the mirror is best. Love the little box too. I would have probably passed up the trays but you were wise not to. They distressed nicely.
Thank you. Yes glass can be scary. ( but I leave that to Chris who isn’t scared of it) And that mirror would have been beautiful that way too. Thank you for watching and sharing 💖
Oh Yvonne the postale box is definitely my favorite and the mirror is a close second!! Bet they won't stay in your booth very long! Thanks for sharing, stay safe❤️
I really love all the pieces but the postal box was my favorite, followed by the mirror. I didn't know about using alcohol to remove the wax on something you want to add vinyl to. Great tip. Thank you for sharing. Stay safe 😊
I enjoy watching your show and learn so much from you thank you so much for sharing I think the block Trey is my favourite I would probably have picked this up as soon as I seen it
Great video as always, I just noticed you are almost at 1000 subscribers 😀. Your content is great and I can tell you put a lot of thought and effort into making videos. I learn something every time I watch one.
Aww.. thank you for your very kind compliments. I feel very blessed to have viewers like you. And that’s always our goal, to share what has worked for us. Maybe it might work for someone else too 🤗💕
Postale was my favorite. I wouldn't have tackled the mirror without the glass, but you made it look good anyway... Thanks and have a blessed day. Stay safe!
Love your videos. All of them. I found a box like your Postal one in the wild (Goodwill) . It still had the original store sticker on the bottom and it was called a salt box. My mom remembers her mom having a salt box. She would dip into it when she cooked or canned.
The trays and the box I would have picked up. Those are 2 items I have a hard time walking away from. Great job on redoing them. The mirror looks great, but I would have walked away from it due to it not having mirror glass.
I don't know if you get any ca$h for the products you feature , but if you don't you should. I specifically bought the Varathane wax based on your reccomendation and it worked very well. I went to my local Walmart in Concord , NH for the black flat Onyx WalMart brand paint and was told they don't stock it .The clerk at the counter kindly mixed some up for me. I have some outdated baskets drying right now inspired by your work and we will see how they turn out. Thanks for all your inspiration.
Thank you for sharing that. I think about that often on the products we use. And can understand why other RU-vid may switch products because a company will pay them a percentage . But I like that the general person can cost efficiently use what I use to get the results. Well if they can find the products and want to use them. I’m so happy to hear not only did you try them, but that you did some outdated baskets. Love hearing that💕💖💝
I love the postale box. It reminds me of the one I did but mine has an open shelf on top with the drawer underneath. After watching this I now know what I did wrong. I painted all of the drawer and I shouldn't have because it sticks! Should I sand it all off and then just paint the front of it? I look so forward to your videos. Thank you!!
Thank you for watching. Yes, try sanding at least where the drawer wood slides in and out. Too much paint may not be letting it slide the way it should. And if you add some wax ( if you have it) it will help to after you sand 🤗
I will not cut glass. I have tried but i'm too scared of it to do a good job and the glass will brake of in shards. That postal box was really cute, thanks for sharing
I would have wanted the mirror even though I can't cut a new one. I probably would have put a picture in it if I couldn't find a mirror. I have a mirror frame that needs a oval mirror which I can't find anywhere. This a piece that I painted in Norwegian rosemaling and has a shelf also. If you know where I could get a mirror for it I would be so grateful. As always I loved how all your pieces came out. 👍🌹
Thank you for watching. Any local glass company would cut a piece of mirror to fit into your oval frame. I'm not sure what the cost would be. But it couldn't hurt to call and ask. I hope that helps.
Goodmorningggggggg dear friend 💛 yeahhh you almost there🥳🥳 I have a question..... You talk often about a cubi box (hope I wright it good) but what is that exactly? Is it Just a box? I see you made the beautiful box and it turned out sooo pretty😍😍 the tray's are beautiful 😍😍love both colours but my favourite is the black😃😃 Was nice again seeing you and Chris at work, thanks 💛💛 have a great monday 💛💛 Janny
Good morning as well Janny. Yes a cubby box is just that. A type of box you can store smaller items in. It can be open areas as well. Thank you for always supporting us 💝
