Hi Sonnet. I would add “Welcome” in all capital letters vertically to the ironing board. It turned out really pretty. As for the person who said that shabby chic is “tacky,” the answer is “move along!”
I loved the bench more than I thought I would! No words on the ironing board! I can picture someone using this as console table and styling it up super cute! Keep doing you…shabby furniture and all cuz we love you!
Please don't put laundry on the ironing board. I have a ironing board like that, my mother gave me. I use it to iron with. You put red roses on your board. My mother's favorite flower was a red 🌹 rose. Watching your video it was like a message from my mother. When ever I need to have a message from my mother. She sends me a red 🌹 rose. My mother was killed by a drunk driver. So thank you for message from my mother.
If someone thinks shabby chic is tacky, why stay? The rest of us are here BECAUSE of your look and style. Keep keeping on! Your style is lovely. Thanks for all the tips and demos! I’m swooning for that bench!
If viewers don't like your style, they can watch someone else. I LOVE your style! Can't wait to see how you set up for your event! I vote for "laundry"!
I love the shabby chic look and it suits me fine. My kids have always been able to use everything we have and now my grandkids do. So, we fit shabby chic perfect. We live in it and enjoy it.💕💕Sonnet you are far from tacky. Keep smiling.
I think the, "wine bottle holder" is actually an entry way/mud room coat rack, purse, and misc. drop zone items holder. I think the knobs are actually meant to hold coats, jackets, umbrellas that have a strap, etc. A cell phone, note book, water bottle, etc. could go in the top portion. Just my thoughts.
LOVE, ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT ALL!!! My top two favorites (since you are making us choose 😉) are the bench & iron board!!! They are both stunning!!! Keep being you, YOU ARE AMAZING & VERY TALENTED!!! I am so thankful I found your channel, I love being inspired by your creations & challenged to try something new!!!
I love the transfers you used. Roses are my favorite flower. I love watching your creativity. The ironing board is beautiful. I also loved the cutting board. I’m sure everything will come together and you’ll have a beautiful display of products for different people. I thought the fabric on the bench matched perfectly with the paint color you chose. Good job! Keep up the good work. Remember everybody isn’t going to like everything you do, but somebody will love it and it’s meant for them. Blessings!
The bench was my absolute favorite. I would keep the ironing board as is because it's perfect. Sonnet, you mentioned on an earlier video that you'd be telling us how to cover up the heart shape in a wood piece . . I've got a country bench that has that same heart shape and I'm wanting it gone! Hopefully, I haven't overlooked it. I appreciate your videos so much. They inspire me to greatness! :)
Shabby chic is not tacky! It’s comfortable and is perfect for people who enjoy life without worry. I think printing LAUNDRY would complete the ironing board. My favorite is the simplicity of the cutting board.
I have my husband's grandmothers ironing board and have wondered what to do with it...great idea, Sonnet! Please don't add any lettering to the ironing board! The bench was so colorful and cute, and I also have a washboard which I want to hang in my laundry room as soon as we get the room painted...perfect idea to perk it up! Thank you for your ideas, Sonnet!
Don’t listen to negative people. They live negative lives and we are happy. This is a happy channel. No do not put LAUNDRY on the ironing board. I think it would loose the beauty of the roses. I’m not a flowery person but I still think your work is beautiful. Nothing you do is tacky! I love the wash board and the cutting board is fabulous. Thanks Sonnet
Yes, add Laundry on the ironing board. I like the shabby sheik look you do. It’s just enough. Some people over do and that’s just tacky! I’ve been a decorative painter for over 50 yrs and I’ve seen it all! It’s fun for me to see the new generation taking over and adding their touches to it all! Keep up the good work, honey!
*Sonnet, the ironing board turned out lovely. I wouldn't add the word "Laundry" because this limits where (which rooms) this piece can be used. I have an OLD wooden ironing board that I use as a sideboard for plants 🪴 in my living room near the window. I previously used it on one wall in my bedroom as a laptop standing desk and before that, along one wall in my bathroom as a little shelf for towels, wash cloths, bath salts, a faux plant and a little pretty dish to put my jewelry in while bathing/showering. Let the buyer decide on the room they will use it in. They can add words (or not) as they choose. I have another smaller wooden one (3 feet tall - made for small apartments, I think) that I hang with the small end at the top that I added a little shelf to about three-quarters of the way down. Below the shelf I added 3 little knob hooks to hang cotton flour sack towels with loops from - and this hangs on a skinny wall in my kitchen. I have a flour sifter with a green handle, a box cheese 🧀 grater and a green Depression glass (uranium glass) reamer/juicer on the shelf, and it looks cute❣️💚🥰*
I love Monets Garden! I did an old telephone seat in it. The wine rack/coat rack is so amazing! Ironing board is fricking awesome and don’t put the word laundry on it…it could go anywhere without the word. Your work and personality are so sweet. Your style is very enjoyable and don’t EVEN pay attention to the critic’s❤️.
I am not sure why anyone would feel the need to leave negative opinions about your style. If it is not your style, move on. The rest of watch because we love the floral transfers, distressing and shabby chic goodness that you always bring to your videos! ❤💙
I absolutely LOVE your shabby chic pieces! Don’t let people get to you. Do what you love and what fits your style. Your projects turned out beautiful! I vote yes on adding lettering to the ironing board.
Oh my gosh everything turned out gorgeous and don’t add laundry. That is something everyone would do. Have yours unique. And you do you and not worry about others and what they think.
Think a word like laundry would distract from beauty of the piece; some people may use it in another room. I loved the cloth you selected for the stool; so pretty.
Loved all the flips, but my favorite was the bench. I say leave the ironing board as is, it's beautiful & I think adding laundry would draw attention away from the pretty roses. Hope the weather is perfect next weekend for Antique Acres.
I love the ironing board just the way you did it!!! Shabby chic is great , she should do her thing and not be critical of others taste!!! Thank You for sharing ❣️❣️
I loved that little bench. I think the ironing board is gorgeous the way it is. By the way, that comment was pretty tacky, good grief. Love you Sonnet!
Hello Sonnet, I know this tutorials was a couple of years ago (kinda hard to believe), but I watch the old and new tutorials and I really enjoy all of them you are very talented love them all! I would like to say there's always those who truly get joy out of trying to hurt others a lot of the time it's bc they don't have talent to create these pieces they only wish they had the gift.... tfs God's Blessings Darlene
Shabby chic is great and I hope you never stop doing it and it’s definitely not tacky!!! I would leave the ironing board as is. It’s beautiful. I think any kind of wording would take away from those fabulous roses. My favorite project is that gorgeous bench!
Tacky? Psh... I love all of your flips. Each person has their own style and to each their own. The little bench is gorgeous and I love the ironing board. No words on it. It opens up the possibilities for use/display.
I agree about the shabby chic design. If people would be a little more carful while shopping in our booths maybe we could do a different style. I really liked the wine shelf. Laundry would be perfect on the ironing board.
I really like the wine bottle holder and like the color you chose. No, do not add laundry to the ironing board. It is fine the way it is. Thanks for sharing!
I liked the cutting board it was just simple and neat the ironing board was really pretty and I wouldn’t put Laundry on it someone might want to pin pictures to it you could use it in any room all the projects were cute
Love all your unique ideas, you must design when sleeping. Your booth at Antigue Acres was georgous. You bought my wooden blocks at the Shop Hop in Oshkosh at the Turquoise Door. I have some of the ribbon left that you liked and it's yours, when I get to one of your booths. The best to you.
Ironing board is beautiful and doesn’t need any words. Although an ironing board it seems much more versatile in how someone might choose to use it without words.
I LOVE your style and shabby chic vibe and that is why I watch your awesome channel! If someone doesn’t like it they should just keep it moving WITHOUT insulting you! Just know that it is their problem and not yours
I loved all of the projects! I think that the ironing board has a little too much negative white space, but I’m not sure it has to be “laundry”. You could do the words vintage, antique, welcome, or home, etc. something that wouldn’t just limit it to the laundry room.
LOVE everything, Sonnet! Wow that ironing board is gorgeous! My opinion.... leave it as is. I wouldn't add the word laundry at all. Awesome job on everything!
Love all of theses beauty's. I think i would put ( Bed OF Roses) if it was me. Either way I love it. Thank you for sharing. Have a beautiful and blessed week.🌸🌼❤️💕💖💗
