Today's video is a little Thrift With Me, followed by a great haul from Savers Thrift Store. I found some great pieces....two have already sold. I spent just $125 on two separate trips to Savers in two Massachusetts locations. I hope you enjoy it!! I found some fantastic Doc Martens and a great vintage Coach bag...the sale price surprised me! in Oregon, our prices are obscene. Savers is actually better than Goodwill right now - but the prices you're showing here are actually low for us here. I only hit Savers on Tuesdays for Senior 40% off day.

They are so crazy. $5 for a kids shirt? I got spoiled at my last thrift store before we moved. But, I love the organization compared to some others and the extra cost is worth it sometimes. I find good stuff but my cogs ends up being so high it's hard to make decisions.

I lived in Marlboro and went to school in Hudson, and I agree with you, Savers prices in that area are high. I'm kind of spoiled with the three thrift places in Waltham :) And the place I go to for the best deals (near Boston) has senior discount if you are over 50 (!) and it gives half off four of the five colors of price tags. But Savers is worth it if you have a coupon and if the piece is something unusual.

These prices were high to me as well. That is my frustration with Savers. I do better at Salvation Army but they have even gone up a bit.

These are the same prices we have at our Savers in Tucson. I only go on 25% off Thursdays or 50% off Mondays. I do pay up even with the 25% off for much of my items there but the brands I find are amazing and the quality is usually very good. I haven't found a privately owned thrift that has good prices or good product. So its always Savers or goodwill for me.

Hi Lori, love watching your videos! I just starting reselling on Poshmark in Aug. and have learned so much from you. There are a few Savers stores in my area and I've noticed prices have gone up a lot in the last few months. But there's also better quality items in store as well - I think a lot of people are cleaning out their homes lately.

I’m watching this video now. Funny thing...I only first heard of Savers from your videos. I have friends outside of Boston, so I thought I’d go to savers when I visit. I looked up locations and there is one 30 min from me! And best part...you only have to be 50 to get the senior discount here!

Great haul Lori. I love the Moon Bag. I think the prices at Savers is high. I go to my local thrift store and pay $2.50 for tops and $1.00 for jeans and or pants. I picked up a Patagonia Nano Puff Vest today at an estate sale. I am really excited about it and going to list it today. Wish me luck.

Lori, we don't have Savers here (Eastern Virginia) but I have to say that those prices were so high compared to what I pay here. Our regular Goodwill is $5.50 for shoes $6.50 for boots and my honey hole has all shoes/boots for $3.00, so I feel that I'm lucky. Of course, I don't get the variety you get there, so that is a big factor, too. Also, I would have put the Kork Ease back, too. Just too much money. Maybe at half-price day? Those Dr. Marten Poppy boots are amazing! Haha! Oxy is "Like Frank's Hot Sauce!" I love that. We put Frank's on everything. Obviously, I'm free-associating here. Instead of sending a ton of comments, I'm just keeping a running tab!! OMG, that Jordan Marsh bag!!! I can't believe it. I grew up in Hingham. We loved Jordan Marsh, especially their blueberry muffins, haha! That bag looks amazing. Love the Vintage Coach! I'm so glad it sold well. Take care, Lori! xo

That initial FP sweater is one of my faves ❣️ I loved the Kork boots for myself but to resell paying $17 I don’t think I personally would have picked up. Yes! Savers prices have really gone up. In my area in Las Vegas, they offer every Monday 50% on everything in the store so all my posher friends think they raise the prices knowing that most sales are on Monday! So, even at 50% off they get the price they would normally mark them at. Is this happening in your area?❤️

Our Savers prices run about the same, which is really high in my community. But today they had Vionics at $8.49 and Skechers at $16.99. Go figure. They do miss some of the better brands here because they don’t show up very often.

Hi Lori, You picked up some really great pieces especially loved the chunky fall colored sweaters. I know you mentioned that you use oxiclean to clean the puffer jackets. Do you just spray and let it sit before adding it to the wash? Do you use the regular oxiclean spray or the max force? I picked up a cute puffer jacket from Salvation Army but the lighting was so bad in the store that I couldn’t see it had that black sheen you talked about. Thanks in advance!

I found the same vintage Coach in black. I’ve been trying to find out if it’s authentic because it says Made in Italy. None of the other ones I’m finding are Made in Italy. Do you know anything about made in Italy Coach?

I have stopped shopping at Saver's. Their prices are crazy high. Wouldn't mind paying a bit more, if the piece was in good condition (which it's usually not) or was a name brand. I can get St. John's Bay for cheaper at Kohl's than at Savers. Found Birkenstock's used for $60!!!! Almost all of their sweaters, not matter the conditionor brand were $12.99, so, buh bye Saver's.

So - from what I'm hearing - Savers is high-priced and the only way to really "score" is to go to their seasonal 50% off sales ... I have bought brand new clothing from retailers at the end of the season 80% off for these prices!

Love going with you "virtually" -- my Goodwill thrifts mark up nearly everything. Free People is 12-60 (yes if it is NWT they will do 40-60 even on a shirt!), LuLuLemon is $19.99 minimum even with all the seams unraveled and holes and damage. Lucky Jeans are $14-40. Ugg boots not even in good condition are 50. Cole Haan booties with scratches all over them were $45. Seriously - not even for reselling but what are they thinking? I actually think perhaps it is the influx of resellers that are driving the prices up actually. My local small thrift actually marks up any NWT to 20% off the list price on the tag. So a Vince thermal shirt (same one I just sold on Posh for $25) they had for $90. Bags and shoes are a lost cause completely. They want $35 for CROCS. The only thing is to find brands they don't know about yet.

I got a small green suede Coach over the shoulder - I list it and not even 20 secs someone bought it in full price. I thought it was a mistake. I guess if the price is right, it will sell.

Savers in Mesa Arizona has super expensive shoes. I don’t even look at them anymore including Monday when the entire store is 50% off.

Haha!! Yes there are two. People get confused all the time. Lucky and Lulu! Lucky is the one with only 3 teeth (his tongue hangs out). Lulu is queen of the house, lol!!

I also live in MA, and went to the Savers over the border in RI usually (when we were allowed in RI). They do 1/2 off a single color tag starting on Wednesday. The ones in MA don't do that. I stick with Goodwill and Salvation Army now that I can't go over the border. The MA Savers prices are just so high!

@@1nonly..pepsii Absolutely. Love this place. It’s about 10 minutes from home. I find great items there all the time. Last time there I found an all leather huge duffle which has wheels and hidden handle for 12.99. Well worth paying up for. The one thing I don’t like is how they seem to hide the “good items” behind the counter and you can’t even see them.

.Since you sell on Poshmark and Ebay I was wondering if you might have the answer to this question. I know that Poshmark does not allow 3rd part crosslistig apps such as Vendoo but do you know if Ebay allows it?

I've never had a problem with Vendoo on Poshmark. I think the guys from Vendoo were even at Poshfest 2019. Don't quote me on that, lol!

I am going to guess what your original training (career, degree) is in. You present yourself in such a professional manner with your voice. I am going to guess that you are possibly a vocalist with performance experience, or maybe a on air news anchor? You carry yourself in a very professional manner.

I got my masters in Special Educations. Undergrad I double majored in Psychology and Special Ed, but I did do all of the high school musicals and took a singing class in college! I wish I was more of a vocalist than I am, but thank you!

I’m Arizona items are way overpriced especially shoes. My daughter works there now and does get a discount but only on items that have been on the floor 4+ days so no first dibs.

Savers is getting out Of control. Since they are a For Profit Business we look for the items they miss. They are out there. I usually go on senior day with 30% off. Love the Lafayette. I have a collection of vintage leather coach that I love. Keep the videos coming. So much to learn Linda from Boston @lindi2853

@@LorisBostonFound my savers is walking distance. I shop there every Tuesday (30% off senior day) , Wednesday (50% off new tag color) or I use my rewards (20% off). I never pay full price. Also my store is in the nice neighborhood and people donate some good items
