You know what I liked most about this video? It was Your authentic simplicity! Telling about the difficulty with book covers and how You solved them. Despite being talking about decoration, you don't assume "that" air of superiority, of "knowing everything", but like a normal person sharing their experiences. Thank you so much, it was a very good journey to see you in this video! Keep the wonderful job... LOVE the items and techniques... Ill following you ❤❤❤❤ Kissitos from Brazil.
just to let you know, there are drop cloths for painting which are a great linen dupe.people have made curtains, pillows out of them..I found them at fred meyer to lowes, home depo,I know you are from Canada. ..go take a look.good luck ,(ive seen people even bleach the fabric.. love love these dupes!!
Karman Jones : I found them years ago at Canadian Tire and I’ve used them many times to make slipcovers for furniture at our cottage and home...unzip and throw in the wash with bleach. They wear like iron!
I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW.... the world is in chaos, my household is quarantined with Covid, my work situation is in absolute shambles due to the pandemic, and my anxiety is through the roof. Even though home decor is the absolute last thing on my mind at the moment, your videos provide such a welcome mental reprieve amidst all the calamity going on at the moment. You are a beacon of light amidst all the fog. God bless you.
I think all your crafts turned out great love the bow and the mud jar turned out awesome never saw anyone do that before especially put mud on it but I love it so you did an awesome job thank you so much for sharing and I always love seeing mr. Owen he is so cute
It’s ridiculous how good these look! I am so obsessed with everything McGee & Co but between the exchange rate and shipping, there is no way I can justify it. I love the idea of DIY’ing instead! Thanks for sharing 😊
I absolutely love love love all of your creations!! You are so right about the crazy cost of books, same situation in my neck of the woods! ❤️ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦
That was so dang cute with your little guy! I want to do this with my grandsons this spring. Give them each a pot for my front porch steps & let them go. If it last just one season it will be a great memory. Thank you for the video!
omg I LOVE that vase/pot!?! I wrote on your insta that I was omw home and could not watch this bc I was on the train, and I am _really_ tired from work BUT I am srsly thinking about running out to find some nice pots to remake with this style. Love that you are so clear about how you do your diy's, no matter how tired I feel I always get pumped up by your ideas😍❣
YES!! When i found out i could do this i went wild and bought like 4 of them and did this exact project to them. So fun and adds a great touch to the home.
You could whitewash the fabric on the blue books or spray paint the fabric white after it dries....or even spray paint the blue books white first. This also looks like Restoration Hardware. Very cool look. Great job.
You are a DIY queen!! Going to give the whitewash bowl a try. I have a wooden fruit bowl that I was going to just donate but I think this will really give it a new life!
New subscriber here! I had to pause the video to look at the price sticker on the bowl. As soon as I saw Value Village, I was jealous. 😂 VV and Savers have SUCH good stuff! I got a kick out of your assistant too. Great job on all three!
That vase turned out ahhhhmmaazziingg!!! I wonder if she is the same girl I've watched just using dry dirt? Either way that is fabulous! Spackle is my very favorite crafting item!❤❤
Your thrift flips turned out amazing and I plan to try the vase as my weekend project. Truth be told though I freaked out a little and said noooo out loud when I saw you were using (and sanding) the DryDex indoors and your adorable son was right there. There are several warnings on the packaging about breathing the fumes/dust and it may also irritate your skin so please be careful, I love your content and don’t want you to be in harms way!
Wow, you did a great job on that pot, and you found the perfect shape and were able to work with the indent. Love it! Good job Emily. I do have books I want to cover in fabric, that should be fun ;) oh, And I have a wooden bowl, LOL
The books looked a little denimy, if that's a word. Maybe, a little diluted blue paint on the fabric. I'm, 70, what do I know, I think the idea is great. While you were covering the first book, I'm thing junk journal. Your ideas are wonderful my dear girl. You are way ahead of me. Sherie 😍
