I may have eaten too many hot Cheetos before filming this. lol follow me on IG @KingJvpes for the camera giveaway 🙏🏽 also drop a like on this video for more thrift episodes!!
The XD-11 (XD-7 in Europe) may be the best ever Camera Minolta made ! I would be looking for the Japan version XD-S black model with viewfinder diopter if I was a collector 😉
Hey man! Just wanna say I love your videos and to let you know your the reason why I'm getting into film photography man. Can't wait to come back home to cali to try and thrift some film cameras as well. Cheers bro!
I saw two of those canon digicams this past weekend. One even came with all its cables, manuals, and box, but skipped out on it. Nice find with that minolta 🤘🏽
You might need to do a Skillshare on how to do a sponsor spot in a video that’s smooth and organic. Didn’t even bother skipping past the ad read because you got it in there so nicely 👏👏👏
Just found your content and WOW, as someone who also collects vintage cams, in fact just picked up a mint condition PORST Reflex TTL for £5 and they selling for over £80, but that one is staying in my collection! but defo entering these giveaways! :D Love the content!
I just grabbed a Zeiss Ikon Contaflex "A", but it wasn't THAT cheap! I took a long look at a Porst recently... I wish I could afford to buy a Contarex Bullseye, but they've gotten WAY too expensive. But I think they're the greatest-looking cameras ever.
My first camera was an XG-M. The Minolta 50/1.4 is a very nice lens. I think legend W. Eugene Smith shot Minoltas. Hakuba-i have no idea about how good that case is, but Hakuba is a company that sold 'inexpensive' accessories. I wouldn't count on that being a pro-level case, but what does that even mean these days.... The Vivitar wide zoom-if that's a Series 1 it might be pretty good. If not... not.
it was on discount that day but yeah it was very run down, the shutter ring could have seen better days, the lens was meh, the viewfinder was cloudy with specs in it i took the leather strap on it and put it on my jdm FT-N...the strap broke that same day but the camera was in my hand when it broke so thank the lord. but other than that it was good to use for parts but i ended up just giving the camera to my uncle
Do you think you could do another video of your collection? & tell us ( other than the Olympus you just got 😂) which one would you say is your favorites?
I have been thrifting about one weekend a month and go to 6-10 stores and in the last 2 years I found one camera to buy....it didn't work. The majority of what I see are the Time Magazine free with a subscription cameras.
You need to pick a couple of stores that might carry cameras and then go every other day. That way you have a higher chance to be the first when there is something good. + The people that work there will now you are a camera collector and will let you know if something comes in.
fellow filipino here. have been a subscriber and ig follower for years. found my interest through your videos but sadly cant afford a film camera bc im still in school. hope i can win the giveaway
