Wow John Boyega is British? All the British actors who come to do film in America are brilliant. Look at Idris Elba, David Oyewolo, Daniel Kaluuya....powerful black men!!! Handsome too.. go ahead!.. Okay, back to John Boyego LOL!!! He did a fantastic job... even his american accent was on point.... He must win an oscar!!!

I just watched the movie and it was phenomenal!!! Such a tragedy for a former Marine. Our VA needs to start taking care of our men and women who have served especially those that served in a war that OUR country decided to start or join. I thank ALL of our military members for their service.

This was an awesome movie, a heartbreaking story...and I just love John as an actor. He's so good and enjoys so much more roles and credit.....I just love this dude..he's so genuine and passionate about everything.

This movie was so accurate and nice. I get to know this story in the movie.

Its funny that she said ,,He felt that the government owed him" made him sound like he was crazy when in reality they did actually owed him and they still do, cause the family still hasnt got any money.

Excellent movie

This is when the VA secretary and Congress should have stepped in. VA does not give those who should get it but they don't. Even after this he still hasn't gotten his money and puts a black eye on the good people who work for VA. The sheriff should have been fired for hiring a hit on him and the city died for millions of dollars. Everyone should see what veterans go through those who go through combat horrors and those who don't for they fill the stress of military service.

I saw the movie today i didnt know it was a yrue story and it turned my stomach.. i know there are any in this same situation and have seen what my dads wife has gone through with the VA when he passed. This performance was like John Q.. every second was powerful. I will never forget

This is a great movie but the whole time I was thinking the gunman sounds like he’s doing a Denzel Washington impersonation now to hear he has an English/British accent I think he watched some Denzel movies and assumed Americans sound like that. Hahah imo of course.

Very interesting.

Great acting; a pretty good film but was a bit boring. It had a slow buildup and maybe they are trying to be real to the true story but a little more excitement is needed. We get the point about the immorality and unfairness of the system and about racial injustice and how desperate and helpless Brian was but it was "too talky" and it was easy to guess the direction of the movie. They needed to pound home what a good guy Brian was but it's somewhat overdone and repetitive. So many movies today on race have critics and audience reviews more split than ever. Too often the critics are so concerned with PC, plot holes, cinematography, and logic. The audience seems more concerned with getting a good plot, excitement, and emotional involvement. Thought critics and audiences agree on this one. The 2019 movie "Black and Blue", also about racism and cops, might be too long and the critics seem angry for plot holes and not enough nuance but the audience liked it, I think, as it was just very damn suspenseful and had great acting.
