I am from the midwest, USA and I discovered this after watching and falling in love with Eagle Vs Shark. I think the Maori culture is beautiful and wish more people from my country would recognize/respect the strength and beauty in other cultures. . .
Kia Ora Just came back after a 2week vacation from Aotearoa..from the beautiful summer to the bitter winter in Toronto..this movie helped me get out of the post holiday depression..at the same time make me wanna go back to this beautiful land❤
This guy is a creative genius... I really like his work. If he is at least half as fun in life as he is on screen, he must be a ray of light for people around him!
I had not known about this man's existence a month ago. Now I feel a ridiculous amount of love and warmth towards him and his kiwis friends. What a weirdly incredible world we live in

Pfftt you're joking right? Our biggest and worst haters are our own. I've found that a lot of non-kiwis are very complimentary towards our lil big country
it depends if they're islanders or not i mean im Tongan and im a Pacific islander i dont think kiwi's are islanders tho but still i liked the video cuz im a fan of Michael jackson and i like The New Zealand Culture
Because the millions have gone straight into his bank account that’s all he cares about he still wouldn’t care if he didn’t get neither BOYS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN .
I LOVE this and all things Kiwi! :-)...I want soooo badly to be there, but I'm too old and not rich enough to retire there :-( Keep posting this GREAT music please! It make me happy to my bones!
I love this movie! I'm an Aussie and I love both Boy and once were warriors.. I must say I like Boy better as its more lighthearted and although has its moments isn't a big as tearjerker like once were warriors! I'm gonna have to buy this movie for sure
Mel Ba Those people just disliked by accident because they couldn't stop watching, because they love it so much.... That is the only understandable reason that exists!
Watching an ep of How To Dad, hearing "Poi E" briefly in the background, led me to this video. Last night I busted out the Boy DVD and watched it all over again. Next time I won't wait 10 years to rewatch it.
I hope he is doing ok, he was in a car accident a while back that set him back quite a bit. This video is great, all of the cast is awesome but especially Boy and Taika.
I love this movie. I'm from Chile and it made me want to go to New Zealand and live in Waihau Bay. Taika Waititi is a master and this movie a masterpiece.
You mean, more films like Boy? I agree 😄 But he's done a FEW other good films... - What we do in the shadows - Hunt for the Wilderpeople - Thor : Ragnarok - JoJo Rabbit - Thor : Love and Thunder
I recently re watched Boy and it is a great film. One thing i picked up that the ending has an alternate ending. The original ending showed us with the scene where "boy" starts attacking and getting upset at his father alamien for leaving after his mother died. Then he goes to bed and wakes up the next morning and decideds to clean the house then going outside realising his dad left. and showed the sculpture boy made and finished it for him. It didnt explain a lot but the second ending showed us everything from the original THEN showed granma coming back to the house, and boy went to apologise to hos friends about what he had been like to them almost maturing yet being his old self. the most impactful last scene was showed that alamien had finally went to visit his wife at the grave and boy sees him there they both look each other in the eye of apologie and sympathy then the movie ends. I like the new ending better because it shows a more impactful, conpleted and inderstandbale ending
I’m not from new zealand and my english is not very good as well. I was curious what does it mean by “egg” ? I watched they used the term “egg” a lot in this movie but I couldn’t understand the meaning of it
