Exactly a week ago, Vidit Gujrathi (2662) defeated the reigning World Blitz champion, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (FRA, 2775) in the Quarterfinals duel 1 of FIDE World Team Chess Championship 2022. A week later, he faced the current World Rapid champion, Nodirbek Abdusattorov (UZB, 2676) for the second time in his career in a Rapid rated game in the fourth round of Tata Steel Chess India 2022.Can Vidit defeat two world champions in consecutive weeks? Impressive. These guys are literally playing Stockfish level moves at rapid time controls. There were a couple of mistakes. Nodi had the advantage but lost it. Vidit kept his calm under pressure and found the right moves when he needed to. Well played by Vidit.

When the Queens are off the board the Kings become powerful pieces when not under direct attack and it becomes a waste of time to put them on the side of the board.

@@hsmoothie4477 It's special here because there was no way to exploit the fact that the King was in the center. Even without the Queens the King can get into massive trouble so you have to evaluate precisely if your King being in the center is a gain for you.
