Hi, I got so many questions please bear with me: 1. Does it matter which weapon is main? Obviously I want the attack power from GS and DMG reduction from SNS 2. Your melee hit is only 270? Do you see MISS a lot? I'm at 607 but sure I did see quite often miss when I was only 200 or less 3. Resilient mind says 10% of DMG to mana when shield block or attack block, what is consider shield block and attack block? is it just the defense skill? or the shield block chance from the SNS? 4. I guess you are evasion tank , how effective is it? Like do you evade a lot of attack?
1. It does, because you get block chance only when your main wep is sns, meaning that all the skills that benefit from block will only work while your main wep is a sword n shield. 2. After prolong testing i came to the conclusion that hit is a bait, i rarely miss any of my abilities, the only thing i used to miss a lot was Provoke and it was very annoying because its pretty much a core of the build, but i stacked bunch of enfeeble chance on my rings and it solved the problem, i never miss anymore. 3. Shield block is just block from your "shield block chance" in stats, not your "defensive" skill (refer to point 1.) Attack block is your defensive skill. So pretty much everything restores your mana - blocking with shield, using Q or evading an attack. 4. Yes i evade a lot, i can even see misses during fights on me. Its very noticeable in dungeons. For example in Underground Cave, when last boss stuns you with the scythe and you take insane damage, she oftenly misses 1 or 2 swings on me out of 3 and that saves a lot of work for the healer.
@@keaghantng2885 no it doesnt, for counter barrier to work you need to have sns as main wep, you dont get any block chance if you are not holding a shield.

Sorry, few more Q 1. It seems like no matter what weapon as your main, the skill DMG does not change? From my testing, only normal attack (E) affected (dmg reduced to half after switched to SNS) 2. after using defense skill (Q, block) there is a number: defense 170ish, can you tell me what is this number? is it hp gained or mana? 3. Under shield survival tech, it says if use before fury attack, it increase retaliatory strike dmg 50% and up to x3. I mean what other situation can you use retaliatory strike? I tried regular attack block, and I couldn't use it.
1. It does matter what weapon you have as main because all your abilities do % of base dmg + # so that % of dmg comes from your weapon base damage (if you press K you can see your wep base dmg). You might not be noticing huge difference in numbers but i can tell you from experience, for example, the pack of mobs in this video - with GS main i can kill it in one rotation of abilities pretty much, but sometimes when i want to utilize my shield counter to get some mana back i start off with my sns and switch to GS mid Devastating Tornado and mobs stay alive with like 5-3% left, so yes damage reduction is noticeable. 2. HP gain will always be a green number. I think you are referring to the damage you defended. 3. Up to 3 times means that if you have 3 mobs doing fury attack at the same time it will stack to 3 times and give your retaliatory strike 150% of its power. Only Fury Defense gives you counter strike from Q, no other abilities do.
@@Jeffbozoooo to get block chance, so your abilities, that have "block chance" in the description, work. As well as having damage reduction, your counter barrier "reflect" damage scales off your damage reduction. They nerfed reflect damage quite a bit, it was outrages at the beginning, but its still a really good layer of defense vs pesky bow users who just roll their face on the keyboard and dont pay attention to counter barrier and die from that.
It does not matter what weap you have as main except for block chance/auto attacks. Skill dmg will not change depending on the weapon you have as your main. If you're wearing GS as main, whenever you press a SnS skill the game switches the weap automatically to cast the SnS skill and switches back to GS. You could see this happening clearly before they revamped the party weapon icons. So all your GS skills dmg depends on your GS weap dmg and SnS skill depends on your SnS weap dmg.
@@cosmo7291 So, for extra auto attack damage you'd use GS and switch to SnS when you use Counter Barrier for it's duration. But, if you keep SnS equipped for auto attacks you'd get more survivability and more mana regen because of the passives that proc from blocking?
Yes this is S tier build. It is very gear dependent, but in endgame its pretty much unbillable with very good damage. Tanks can do 1vX easy in this game, not many classes can do that. Its pretty weak early game, but by 50 you will be already useful in wars, tanks and healers are in the biggest demand. With correct gear you will be unstoppable.
I play similar like your, but mob keep cc me all the time. Start buff rotation then Devastating Tornado but mobs around me will just CC me and stop my Tornado. What the secret?

Yo m8, why do I feel like this Fortress skill is broken? It has a whooping 1:26 cd (although you can reduce it with passive skill) but according to skill description: on lvl5, 103 damage reduction per 9s to you and party members. I'm not sure its' just straight 103 dmg or percentage so I go to testing on mobs. One hit me with dmg from 220-720. After using the skills, the dmg literally reduced to 200-600ish, so it is 103 dmg literally? so what, 103x9=927? really? why tf I want to use such useless skill then?
damage of your counter barrier scales with damage reduction. Meaning the more dmg reduction you have the bigger reflect damage you will deal from counter barrier. Numbers wise, even though they dont look that high, if you stack gear with reduction too, it adds up and make you very tanky.
Yo m8, me again. I'm so confused, you don't even have your shield on and yet, your hp just maintain above 10k, how? My defense is almost the same as yours, I have SNS as main weapon, shield skill epic lvl1 so 9s duration, only things lacking maybe worse weapon, much lower evasion rate (currently 180) I Provoke - shield on - block if there is purple circle - AOE skills - after this rotation, my HP will drop from 10k to 7k probaly if I don't use any defense block. Is it because I don't have enough evasion? but certainly I have better shield block rate than you...
yes evasion is the key, i dont even use block in this video because my shield is not out i use grs. Stack more evasion and level all passives for evasion to purple and ull be taking no hits, look closely on the video how many misses i get on me, thats cause of evasion. They are also buffing evasion next week by a lot so it gets even stronger than it is now.

@@morningstar1662 thank you. For accessories i am doing enfeeble chance and skill damage boost as prio. I used to miss provoke a lot and enfeeble chance (weaken chance after this week's changes) fixed it. For armor i am doing full plate with melee evasion and ranged endurance stacking of traits. Also try to get Skill Damage Resistance on every piece that rolls that trait. For weapon i prio Melee Heavy Attack Hit Chance and Melee Crit.
ye i spent most of it, i have both weapons epic and +9, transferring of 1 blue +9 wep to purple costs 980k + converting blue growth stones to purple costs about same for a hundred, so ye you need a lot of sollant to progress.
If you are just starting out, yes mana is rough (for all the classes pretty much), make sure you craft all pieces with mana regen on them while leveling, later on, when you level passives from both sns and gs that give you mana back, you'll forget what mana is. 1 block late game gives you like 7% of the mana bar + evading attack and so on. As you can see on the video my mana is almost always full. I also recommend going 30wis/30dex/30per while leveling. It will solve a lot of mana problems at start.
@@Masterczulkix thats exactly what i did when i started leveling, i started str and perc and rest wisdom and it felt very weak, i did no damage. Dex/Per/Wis felt a lot better.
