Yeah, if they want action combat go play GOW2 or Fromsoft games, GW2's action combat barely even functions tbh, bugs out whenever you get near npcs and left click
What I like so far is how polished the game is. Graphics are great and very well optimized. Hardly any loading times, especially the fast travelis great. Gameplay is intuitive and feels natural. Music is actually good... yeah it has the potential to be a great MMO. It all depends on how well the content is supported going forward. But at first glance, this is by far the best MMO release in a long time.
I installed it and played it for the graphics... literally just turned off the UI and ran around for 1.5 hours enjoying the scenery. It was breathtaking. It's so sad that we've reached a time in technology where we can literally have everything we could want visually but then feel completely disconnected from the world due to the gameplay. I think the game is fine and it's probably fun for the right audience... however, I'm not that audience and had a lot more fun playing Monsters & Memories' public play test.
I have played the open beta and I am actually cautiously positive about it. As mentioned in the video the visuals are stunning and the game runs smooth. The combat is nothing special but not overly clunky/janky at the same time. As with any game which includes paid battle passes/leveling passes (well you have in both cases a free and premium tier) there is a P2W element. On the other hand so far the cash shop itself contains mostly visual stuff (other skins for your morph forms or gear skins). I only played the lower levels and I am not much of PVP lover, so I am unable to comment too much about this. All in all, once it will release next September I will be back for it.
"A game first and a world second" that is such an excellent line. Its how I've felt about many of the new MMO's in the last few years. No ones taking the time to make a really awesome living world you want to inhabit. They make all the "systems" and then world feels like an afterthought.
Personally I think for it being f2p, i recommend trying it, maybe get to 50 and do all the free content which i think is everything. It's a beautiful game, fun combat for what it is, a lot of the questing and exploring has been fun and refreshing for me. So to me it's like why not. If you are bored and have nothing to play, try it and just go into it without thinking of the flaws and the p2w stuff. It's by no means a perfect game or a GREAT game, but it's honestly fun and enjoyable if you just play casually and enjoy what it offers for free. When u do all the content, just quit and move on to the next thing.
@@hammerofscience534 You are mistaken, it’s f2p. Only thing you can buy are early access packs to give you 5 day head start of release day and bunch of morphs/ cosmetics/ and lucent. That’s all optional upgrades, you are free to play the game without purchasing a single thing

I have never been so completely immersed in an MMO as fast as I was with this one. It's a fantastic game that blends a traditional MMO world with the presentation you expect from an AAA single player RPG. It feels better than WOW, FFXIV, ESO and BDO. Everybody wants to see it fail, but aren't seeing it for how amazing it is SMH
I have played Lost Ark since launch, and still do. I have spent very little cash in Lost Ark, and have never joined a group. As an old man super casual, there is a good chance Throne and Liberty may also scratch the same itch while still playing Lost Ark (and the NEW New World) at the same time. With the noted changes coming to Throne and Liberty (some better crafting, fishing and enhanced combat)...it could also last me 2-3 years...at zero to minimal cost to my wallet (and not having to pay $60 to $70 for a new game).
Just started new world and loving it. Very new to MMO’s but this game looks super interesting. Let me know what you think of this game and if someone new to mmo’s should check it out :)
@@sadson420 New World is a decent game...but, it is about to make some drastic changes in October. Why I called it NEW New World. It scratches my super casual itch, and is great when played alongside other games. It has its own issues, which hopefully will be resolved come October. But, logging in for an hour, doing some crafting, some killing...it helps pass the time.
Liked the video, thought there was some great points. I think it's just not the "everyone''s favorite MMO" type of game. It's very niche, the end game goal is large scale PvP and tbh I really got hooked after the first siege. I still feel the chills I get when we won and I realised that I was there, I was part of something that I will probably remember for years to come ! And the only thing that came to mind is : "What can I do now to make my character even stronger for the next one?". It's a game about player driven stories and Drama, any western KR players knows the drama surronding Apples, or Jauntie or WHAT guild, these are stories that will bleed over to the global version and more stories will be created then. That's what I like about this game. It's not just a game it's a story that keeps being written by the players.
It's cool to hear about your exciting siege experience. The problem I see is that pay-to-win will always weaken the pride in winning or the pain of losing. If you win, was it because your guild is full of whales? If you lost, is it because the other guild had more whales? Maybe your skill is better but maybe the other guild has deeper pockets. For me, it's a big nope.
@@dupre7416 Ok, I get your point but all MMOs are P2W... there is no MMO that is actually free of players buying power except FFXIV which has the problem of being extremely expensive to play since you pay 180$ per year in sub and then have to fork over another 60$ for the latest expansion... by that logic anyone that spends less than 200$ per year on T&L is not P2W in my book... cause they just spend the money they would spend anyway to play an MMO... Also, you need to think about HOW the P2W is structured... they're not buying power from the game... they're buying it from YOU... they can only buy things in the Auction House, so essentially they're buying items listed by F2P players and giving them their money, it's essentially a system like Warframe's platinum system... so if enough whales buy from you then you can essentially buy power for yourself WITH THEIR MONEY... I'm planning to get to end game and grind gear on this game and I'll be going hard from day 1 at launch cause I wanna exploit this system 100%... I wanna get to level 50 (max), find a good guild, start gearing up and be there when we start listing our first items after we're all fully geared and essentially getting money from the whales and essentially setting myself up to never be left behind on gear without ever paying a dime... Also, yes the game is free to play but you can't expect to pay for nothing... I mean if you don't even buy the battle pass then yeah, you're gonna be at a disadvantage but a 10$ battle pass isn't that insane... plus you can farm the lucent from the auction house to buy battle passes for free in the future... Anyway, try the game, it's not P2W free but it's not more P2W than any MMO you play...
@@pinkmario3 Yeah... it's true... because to P2W you need to buy from F2P players who will list the items on the Auction House... but that means these F2P players are already geared to the teeth before they even list anything and probably their whole guild is geared to the teeth before they list any unneeded items... At first glance it seems extremely P2W, but in reality it's not... it's Warframe... other players pay you to get your great drops... I've literally bought every Prime Warframe for free in that game (or at least the ones that came out while I was still playing it)... Whales will be essentially funding F2P players and allowing them to keep up with them... the only thing about this is that you need to keep playing the game... this is not a casual game you play once every 2 weeks for a couple of hours and can expect to keep up...
This game was a pass for me as soon as I learned about their class system. I prefer well defined and thematic classes that are built from the ground up.

I see a lot of balance issues and a lot of “BIS” weapons that everyone will cheese. I kno every game has that in a way but don’t like it when it comes to the weapons
I actually like it that way. It feels more organic. For me having a defined class is like a box. Why wouldn't a sorcerer be able to grab daggers and become good with them if he trains instead of being limited by an invisible barier that makes him look like a handicapped person that cannot hold anything else or use. In my opinion it helps with the emersiveness and gives fighting more diversity.I see it as being more able to create your character based on your style and vision, instead of the devs imposing predefined ideas on the character from the start.
@@rb20guy It was but I havent seen a game do it that way since UO where you still had what amounted to class archetypes, even if mine was done poorly (dex bard fencer) but the 7x cap and how skills worked together naturally led to the Mage, the Mage Tamer, Fencer, Str Warrior...etc. Then you added in the Necromancer and even selectable archetypes.
Although lost ark was not for everyone it still has one of the best combat/ raids the genre has to offer. This game has nothing going for it other than the beautiful graphics + optimization. It's as you said it forgettable. I would also like to add that AGS as a publisher has little to no say on how the game is monetized. They did remove as of the pay to win aspects, they same way they did for Lost Ark, but their hands are tied. In other continents like China, the publishers have more power over the games they port over. This is not the case in the west.
Great video. But also the cons doesn’t seem to overlap with the pros. Also remember, this will just be in its 2nd year of release over all. I’m sure the cons will all be fixed over time.
About the world not feeling like a world and not being rewarded for exploring. There are exploration quests (the blue quests) About what I think you called “”gamifying the world”” for some reason I really love the world of throne and liberty! The quests have great story and I’m always amazed by what I find when I run around in my eyes it really is deep and I don’t feel like the collective of the same type of mob harms that. I actually like it. It feels like each zone is a new little world inside of the bigger world. And for monetization it doesn’t seem bad at all. All current popular mmos sell gold ex. Wow, runescape
looks like what it was originally mean to be...a monetized, cookie cutter, generic, linear mobile game. not a living, breathing game world as what one would expect from an MMO. MMO's also need diverse choice of races classes and starting locations to choose from. Lineage 2 came out decades ago, it somehow managed to have a numerous interesting list of classes and starting locations. How did Throne and Liberty take 12 years to make??
It's not a stretch to assume so given it began dev as a top-down isometric MMO over a decade ago when mobile was just getting hot. They eventually did go that route and launched Lineage 2M (Lineage 2 Mobile) just a few years ago so it almost seems like they did both. The mob layout 100% feels like they were built for Astral Hunting (the pre-released removed auto-hunt feature)

I'm tired of this notion that an MMO built around humans is worse than an MMO that has elves, dwarves and Orcs... not to mention that the word Orc meant NOTHING before Lord of the Rings and that Warcraft lazily took every race that they could find within LotR and made a watered down version of it and now somehow every MMO needs to have those same races... Sorry but you can roleplay as a human... I'm a huge LotR fan, I've read the books and watched the movies a thousand times... but that notion that the only way to build a fantasy world is with copy-pasting LotR races is getting annoying... Game of Thrones is set in a fantasy world too... and it ONLY has humans... Anyway, it's just sad seeing people so stuck in their own way that they will criticize everything because it's not the exact same as their favorite game when they were kids... that is called ENTITLEMENT and being a brat... seriously... you ask for "creative freedom" but you instantly take it away from the devs cause you tell them "you need to make the game exactly this way"...
Does anyone else find it ironic that a company (Amazon) who have spent years dodging tax in as many countries as possible. Has released 2 MMO's, both with horrible tax mechanics (New World, I'm looking at you) When will they learn? We don't want games to "tax" any trade we make or property we own. This game has nothing to offer to mmorpg lovers, people who actually enjoy game worlds, designs, lore, story. It doesn't value your time at all, you have time locked events all over the map that force you to play at specific times in order to not miss out. Game also forces you to play in a guild and be active, otherwise you get kicked and left behind. Everything about this game is competitive and is only catering to the people who play games for a living, if you are a regular person with a job/career/business/family or other responsibilities, then there is no way you will ever be able to keep up with the people who sink 12+ hours a day into this game. Play a game that respects your time and a game in which you can pick up right were you left off and still feel like you are accomplishing things at your own pace.
The only thing that's off putting for me is the fact that everyone runs around as a dog. I want to see the characters and their gear. The other transformations I'm absolutely fine with. Maybe they could've added mounts instead of the land morph.
I'm just going to keep playing EQ. Been having a blast getting back into it for the first time in over a decade. NCsoft can keep their fancy graphics, shitty monetization and "modern" MMO design.
I hear you, brother! I just did the same thing: recovered all 4 accounts my brother and I ran for 8 years before we stopped playing back in 2008. Took my Enchanter to Heroic 100 and now I'm running through older content and having the time of my life reacquainting myself with all the older content we missed/skipped when our raiding Guild was rushing the newest content. It's amazing just how out of date Anguish gear is, nowadays. Bought a $600 Xeon 18c/36t system with 64GB of ECC RAM + AMD RX 580, and it runs like an absolute dream. I can 6-box without a hitch. 🥳

I was super impressed for the first 30 minutes. Once i got to the astrel ruin or whatever, the way that the goblins were just randomly scattered across the fields made it hit me. This isn't a world. It's wack-a-mole. I haven't been able to put in another stint that lasted over 15 mins dispite how good traveling the world feels and how badass my character looks.
@Oryyyt no YOU havent played an mmo every mmo has mobs standing there being the npcs theyre suppose to be idk what else yall expect them to do even the guards in that area fight the goblins that get close to the camp
I'll never play either a NCsoft or Amazon game again. Both of those companies don't give a flying fuck about their players. Amazon completely abandoned their PC players in New World for their console launch, and are currently gas lighting the remaining people. NCsoft is notorious for obscene pay to win. T&L can take a flying fuck.

The fact that theae games are free to enjoy the stories, to shae the world is huge. Sure you want to be top brass and enjoy every feature? You like the game, support it, pay. Nothing wrong with it, lets improve the monetization instead of shitting on games for trying to find a way to make revenue.
I played the game and couldnt stop playing. The leveling process was great, you stay busy trying to level charracter in so many diffrent areas. It was fullfilling. I experience the pvp, and i enjoyed it.
The melee combat is absolutely horrendous. Charge and auto attacks feels like I am hitting a piece of wet paper. Not having a definitive class system is fine. However in this game leveling up your skills and stats doesn't feel like you are progressing into a unique advanced spec, which just lacks that roleplaying fantasy.
I like TL but what will rid the world of "filler mmo"? Answering the ultimate question in the player's mind: "What is around the next corner?" imo...put back the adventure instead of focus on "maths" and systems. Develop a random dungeon placement and configuration, random trap and monster placement and patrol, random treasure and you will have a player for life. The maths, systems, and hyper technical critique has killed the wonder of exploring a new world. Written by an mmo player since 2000.
This is massively better than BDO because BDO is a terrible game... you spend 99.99% of your time mindlessly killing mobs... not even running dungeons or interacting with other people... just killing mobs that all die in one hit... BDO is just a huge demo to showcase each class's combat and nothing else... there is literally no gameplay there... this has gameplay, it has content, it has things to do and the game doesn't tediously set you up to fail at gear enhancements and tell you to grind for another MONTH and try again... in this game you ACTUALLY play and progress... Sorry but I have a lot of hours in BDO and I've learned that the only thing to do in it is start a new character every season and have fun with the combat until you get bored... do not aim to go for PvP, it's not worth your time...
I've got so many games on my backlog, I won't have to touch an MMO for at least 2 years lol. And I don't have to deal with people with my free time. And the older i get, the more important i gravitate towards that. But It's good to see what's out there.
A lot of people are going to get sucked into this game and lose a lot of hours in RL, you watch. I guarantee it will be a major hit (after playing the OBT for three days I can say this). All I can say is try it, it's F2P literally nothing to lose. AGS majorly changed the biz model so it's not P2W (everyone can earn everything in game just by playing + anything you buy off the AH has to be upgraded by playing the game). The game is visually stunning. If you thought the visuals were good in New World, that game doesn't hold a candle to this one. PLUS it runs like butter, even in really populated areas... what? When has that happened in a game of this genre? They may not break the mold in terms of systems, but this is like Lineage Online bro, it's not supposed to break any molds, and caters to the old school MMORPG crowd who are now like 35-55 years of age. I love it. Got that old vanilla nostalgic feeling back. Better believe I'm going to be there for launch. So for the OBT community is helpful and non-toxic... and I can say without a shadow of any doubt that a LOT of people had a blast this past weekend and lost a LOT of sleep. I was seeing crowded areas at like 2 AM. Try it out.

Thanks for the review. Im kind of annoyed at all the immediate hate this is getting. It just launched and seems objectively better than a lot of MMOs out there. It has room to grow.
I tried to be balanced, it's not objectively bad but there are some key pillars for me that either arent there or are off. If they dropped Lucent and just had a battlepass I'd probably have a much more positive review. But in the end its just my silly opinion.
@@lucien4980 they regularly listen to community feedback and implement new features as fast as they can, they adjusted the combat due to the feedback from the first beta and just announced housing and life skilling like a day ago. you dont hear the news because youre the one who doesnt care, its obvious that the devs do.
This game just seems like an experiment on where NCSoft COULD go with an MMO like this in our current market. With big titles like FFXIV, WoW, and Black Desert, this game seems like it's still behind all of those titles even before launch. I really think the devs have Lineage 3 on the drawing board. Considering how T&L was created from the bones of a Lineage game and how its been received, I'm sure NCSoft is happy they didn't spoil Lineage's name with this game, but that's why I feel like this game is in an awful spot. How long will it be supported if it still can't catch a break in any market? The development has been all over the place. Can the devs still maintain a cohesive vision of the game's future?
Truthfully about 85% of your complaints could be said about most mmorpgs. Trash mobs being trash mobs, beginning game being tutorial like, random npc's not being difficult. Even while going through the gambling phase for enhancement it's really not much different than WoW or other mmo's. The exception being it's simply "random" without a percent chance to get the item you're looking to get. Good video (quality wise).
red sorry bud but ff14 main framework is so dated it makes lotr online look modern I think its unfair to say its better also you all remember befor ARR rework ? it was so horrid they gave a mount for sitting through that.
In terms of context ff14 was a direct comparison to this game. Basically it does the same things just better and more balanced. And yeah I remember before arr, mostly because ny pc couldn't handle it and crashed 😅
@10:30 #3 can be crossed off - They stated they relaxed lvling alot to help get peeps to try out the entire game ... actual lvling will take alot longer and therefore, greater mixing and connecting with the world
Not if that leveling is still tied primarily to story quests. Other forms of exp were marginal. And that's not exactly surprising. That's fast becoming the method for modern mmos; level through a solo story with instances

I don't get it. I fucking HATE tab target games. I played FFIV, WoW and Tarisland and all three feel like a boring slog fest and I always believed it was because tab target is simply inferior to action combat. I tried Throne and Liberty this weekend and holy shit, it's the best tab target experienve I've had since Rohan and Shaiya were a thing back in 2006. The best part of this game? We FINALLY get a modern MMORPG with OPEN (no instance) dungeons. Thank fuck this game is here. I was getting bored out of my mind and all the current MMORPGS were making me feel like MMORPGS were doomed to never be good again.
yea, for real. I mean, it's not perfect, but you have a truly open world, epic battles with 200 players that dont lag, even affecting the world and creating your own story. It can get better with time or maybe not. I dont understand why people generalize the entire game and say that it will die just cuz they find some problems, or something that they dont like. For me the good outweights the bad, for the time being at least. It is definitely a try for me.
You're entitled to your opinion but this video is not a good representation of TL, at least from my perspective. We were in some kind of zone event last night and it was pretty cool for a first exposure to the game. We got a good amount of currency and experience from it. I would consider taking more time to explore the world thru the blue codex quests instead of flying thru the content and worrying about the potential for abuse of the monetization system.
...oh and nothing "stumbled" bro, they logged over 60,000 players who had mostly positive things to say about the game on the official reddit. I was one of them. Stop making stuff up.
I'm still playing Lost Ark. I don't get how you call it a "filler mmo". Yeah it has the typical Korean MMO problems, but the combat and raids are the best in the business as far as I'm concerned. I've actually put more time into Lost Ark than I have any other MMO ever made and I've been playing them since EQ back in 98.
This game is great, no matter what you say. Bro, they are literally revamping the entire combat system before US launch in September. Already stated. They are adding new skills and the ability to customize your skill as you see fit. Don't like current skills? You can change them! It is worth the hype I think. Game is gorgeous, runs like butter, interesting quests with actual cutscenes that are well done, TONS of content to do, simply massive diverse world, nice helpful community, like seriously, the only thing I didn't like were the outlines around NPCs and wish I could turn those off. lol Reply
Honesty its free to play so try it out. I reqlly enjoy it after a bunch of people didnt, who also didn't get past level 2. Which is fair. I sort of agreed with them until i hit level 25. I couldnt stand the bindings, so once i found something i like, with skills from both weapons in whatever order i wanted. I did a dungeon, that was with all new players and it was harder then i thought it would be( turns out dungeons are 6 man, not 5 man though) Once i understood the game became a bit simpler and i started understanding what it all meant. So yeah, i really enjoy the game but it was hard to enjoy at the start
The graphic update to ffo was so minor and lackluster, I expected more tbh. Also, when are these companies gonna learn that p2w models just aren’t good and don’t survive. I seriously don’t see how the cost to develop these games gets their money back from p2w. Like is there really that many people that will pay?
It makes the money back because for relatively little investment/time they can get a ton. I made a video on it kind of breaking it down but it requires far fewer paying subscribers to pull profit from a few cosmetics or convenience items. But they still risk alienating a market by being too aggressive. Diablo Immortal did this but it still made an insane amount of money, it just doesnt have the same longevity. It's sad and unfortunate but they do it because it works.
@@Redbeardflynn but surely this is only a short term money gain due to people leaving the game for its P2W nature in large quantities. Do developers not see that not doing a p2w method would make the game longevity a lot better and therefore be a better money maker in the long term? It all just feels so short sighted to me. Imho p2w should be made illegal as a business practice when comes to game developers.
20 year WoW player here, none of these modern MMOs will ever be WoW. Try as they might. They should all just quit trying to copy the world’s greatest mmorpg and try to be original, in the hope that they’ll garner some form of dedicated player base.
That's because WOW was founded with true art and creativity (fitting in it's own niche). Even though you had other fantasy MMOs, it wasn't trying to go against anything. It was created out of passion for something.
March of 1999 EverQuest launched. It had 14 classes available to select from, 12 races to go along with numerous unique starting cities located on 3 different continents a player could choose to start their adventures from. In addition your starting class/race/location gave you different loot drops, monsters to fight, dungeons unique to your location, and quests unique to your location and/or class/race.... Why is what AGS and NCsoft releasing now, in any way acceptable?
I think you're right, the game is gonna have a large starting population that will hit max level in a week tops and then wither and die. It's not designed well, and as you said, there are better alternatives on the market. Thanks for the vid
Looks like people have no idea about what T&L is about when they compare this MMO to FF14 and WoW T&L end game pinnacle is their Alliance vs Alliance war, the massive PvP is what makes this game. PvE is just something you do to improve your gear and get the mats needed for gear but you do not really raid like you do in FF14 and WoW, the true purpose of T&L is the massive pvp that is pretty much the end game. just like L2 was
In part that's because the way NCSoft sold it was equal PvP and PvE focus at endgame for the last few years. Openly stating they wanted this game to have broader appeal and have more PvE focus than past NCSoft titles. That said, the purchasable power makes it worse in a PVP focus.
@@Redbeardflynn Purchasable power exists in WoW too... so what? millions of people play it and nobody is complaining about it... they complain about the game being dogshit for a decade now because of stupid mechanics and horrible expansions... but no one complains about the purchasable power since you can literally purchase gold for money... And WoW is even worse cause it's a sub to play plus buying the expansion... so in a game that you fork over 180-240$ per year depending if there is an expansion to buy there is also a massive P2W element... but I guess when it's your nostalgic honey boo boo MMO from your childhood you ignore that, right? That's called double standards... As for the PvE vs PvP thing, there is a good amount of PvE to do but this game is PvP focused because it's a game of players vying for supremacy over the server... so the fact that you actually have dungeons and PvE world events etc is great because it's not BDO where you're solo mob farming for hours and hours in the most braindead way
@@sportschool3537 tons of people complain about WoW tokens breaking the game, especially when it got added to WoW classic. It's been one of the more enduring complaints about the game for years tbh.
kind of weird to comment on end game when you dont even show any lvl 50 content. youre at a contflict pvp world boss just attacking the boss while you are complaining about p2w in pvp. if youre not going to do pvp why do you care about what the pvp rewards are? why should a solo player be able to reap the top tier pvp rewards like castle siege and lucent rewards? its a game that rewwards groups of players because it is a big group pvp game.
Yup it's lost ark with a new skin and seemingly missing a lot of the lateral progression stuff. Shame really it's a very pretty world and could be a great backdrop to a great game but it's clearly just yet another way to get people to pay cash to be able to upgrade due to time locked progression.
I have no idea why I like this game, Ive just enjoyed the beta and touched most of the content. I mean I enjoy fast paced high apm action combat like BDO-ninja or Lost Ark-reaper. Im getting older and older 🤔
Heh, I liked the questions at 2.42 ‘what if it were an mmo that uses the 1-50 levelling as a tutorial’ - you mean like all the other mmos for the last 15 years. ‘One where you are forced into following a solo quest line to progress’ - yup, like all the other mmos 😊. The games biggest flaw is that it’s more of the same. Filler is probably the best description for the game, but that is no surprise - again it’s like all the other mmos for the last 15 years 😊
Then don't play MMOs... cause these are the best the genre have to offer and if you don't play MMOs at all then why are you here exactly? Not to mention that the combat system is this is a huge improvement over WoW and FFXIV...
I thought it was decent, the combat is better than eso but that's not a high bar. It's free so it's worth people checking out for themselves. I see a lot of potential
I enjoyed the combat a lot more than I thought I would which is why I put it in the positive. There's something about the parry timer that's really satisfying.
The shots of those menus are almost enough to keep me completely away from this game. Tried the open beta and it was very meh, played for max 30 min... looks beautiful but feels soulless when playing.
I am on the same boat in terms of opinion on this game. Beta or not, global will have the same Ptw models already confirmed. Not to mention, while this game is very pretty to look at, I feel it is nice paint job. That’s all it is really. Looking under the hood, it was originally a MOBILE game, with “astral hunting”, essentially a bot fest like all its predecessors, NCSOFT has produced bot fest after bot fest and people still defend this trash. Ptw is the least of its worries, the combat is trash, the game feels from the UI, interface and options, as a mobile game, while again, it’s beautiful to watch, I legit almost fell asleep playing this trash. I don’t think you could have covered these things any better. I appreciate your honesty and I love this video. Thank you. It’s hard to see content creators being honest when they are so busy trying to garner twitch streamers and attention for them to get more views and make more money. This is an honest review of I’ve ever seen one. I appreciate it. Thanks again.
You can definitely feel the remnants of things like Astral hunting in world design layout and npc interactions. Pressing heals even auto moves you toward a target. Same with quests by clicking on them if you're in range. And thank you for the kind words, I do try to be both honest and fair.
@@Shadowexxc This is not more P2W than WoW or ESO to be fair... in WoW you can buy gold and directly buy the best gear in the world day 1... in ESO you are paying for "convenience" but without that convenience good luck enjoying the game... and ESO will make you pay a fuckton of money... in GW2 you can essentially buy legendary gear day 1 with real money... This game actually works the same as Warframe... meaning that you buy things with real money but you pay other players... so when the whales buy the things you've posted on the market they essentially helping you buy the next battle pass for free and get free materials for your enhancements... or if you grind enough lucent by selling things you can even essentially buy things from the market with their money and keep up with their power level and be uber competitive in PvP... Overall I would say that not playing this game cause it's P2W is not a viable reason unless you don't play any MMOs cause they're all super heavily monetized... yes, even FFXIV... cause FFXIV and WoW make you pay a monthly sub of 15$, which is 180$ per year... and then on top of that they charge you another 60$ for the latest expansion... you pay 240$ PER YEAR just to play... if you've played for 10 years that 2.5k spent to play a fucking video game... which is literal insanity...

I've been playing for quite a long time and my overall experience was mediocre due to the combat system and drops, the combat system is outdated or mixed with the target more. I expected it to have a combat system just like the online version, and the game doesn't make up for some things, for me the only good thing is the atmosphere. and skills take far too long to cool down
Bullshit, the game has not played enough he has not experienced the game features, and only talk about the other games that he experienced himself. The dude has not known anything about the game just play it thorugh out of the levelling progresss and not give enough time to other content.

I see online game, I see stuff for idiots like Battles Passes, I am out. You already know it will be microtransaction and grind fest instead of good game.
I'm hopeful. Nervous about how PvP will be handled and how the game will feed curated content as well as player-generated content but still hopeful. Looking forward to testing it later this year.
You hit the nail on the head. It feels more video game than immersive world. And the place is beautiful. But you know what I can’t do to admire everything? Walk. We can’t simply walk. I’m a walker in games. It’s a small thing but really lets me feel more immersed.
