Thanks! That's my thought as well. I try to make all my audiobooks with human narrators, but this series is co-written with another author and he didn't want to invest in audio, so I used digital voices. What it earns will be used to have a human do it.
It is indeed AI. I prefer human narrators, but my cowriter of this series doesn't want to invest in audio. I used the AI to post the book here on YT only and whatever the video makes will be put toward hiring a human to do it properly. 🙂
I feel like this is a good book and I'd love to listen to all of it. The main narrator is good but the secondary voices are just very bad. It would have been so much better if one narrator did the other characters as well. It's hard to listen to like this but I'm gonna try to go through it because I like the story.
@@RichardFierceWrites I usually prefer audiobooks with just one narrator; because different voices can take me out of the flow of the story. But I would understand if some people disssagree with me here.
Love your work and hope this minor criticism doesn't offend. The opening sentence of the book has a line , "it was warm, uncomfortably so!" does not sound or read well in my opinion , something like "it was uncomfortably warm" makes more sense an is better on the ear when listening i think
I'm an author, so I have thick skin. No offense taken! And I write with audio in mind more now than I did when this was written. This series could use a good pass through for awkward phrasing and whatnot. I appreciate you listening!
Male narrators are usual great at doing multiple characters. Even if it was same tone with inflections it'd far surpass the AI who do sound like mindless parrots
I agree! I want to use Kevin Green for this series (he did my Marked by the Dragon series), but since my cowriter isn't investing anything toward the audio, this is an option to use the ad revenue from YT to hire him. 🙂
