there is a reason why every soldier has a flag. Each flag signified their rank in the military, foot soldier has Sashimono or small rectangular banners. Jirushi, various flags or banners used as a means of identification. Hata-jirushi were one of the older types of standards they were long streaming banners attached to a crosspiece and held up on a long bamboo or wooden rod. Nobori is used to represent the samurai or daimyō who carried it. That's all I remember there is too many to remember

@098765 Craper Japan only use light armor so they can move faster in battle and they are not rich in terms of iron or steel, so they make do of what they got. Unlike any other western country, Japan is still not accepting foreigners back then

I had one guy fall off a bridge into the river, poor bastard yelled for help the rest of the battle while people were shooting and fighting in close-combat snuffing out his cries... before the battle finished he drowned

Hanzo's Shadows are an elite ninja unit. All ninja units are really meant for opening the gates for you during siege battles but if you use their smokebomb power in conjunction with their ranged explosive attacks they can make for great defensive or offensive troops. But they are very small and very vulnerable to any attack if caught out in the open.

Apollo, you should host some Shogun 2 or FotS co-op or head-to-head campaigns! They are such amazing Total War titles, that besides Thrones of Britannia, my friends and I just keep replaying Legendary Shogun 2. It would be great to see it back on your challenge, with you guys roleplaying the clan throughout the campaign!!

What is the shaded in Rome 2? Also, how do you have your graphics look so good. I use a Dell XPS 13 and even with unit graphics to the max they don’t look as clean. What’s your trick?

Keeping his Hanzo’s Shadows on the wall to take those shots is a waste of that unit. A [veteran] unit of Shadows can do a ton of damage to the enemy so letting them absorb ammo is a shame.
