In this Episode (Episode 11), the Elk101 team is hunting elk during archery season in their home state of Idaho. Cameraman John (John Abernathey) is out in front of the camera, Corey is calling, and Donnie received a crash course in videography and is running the camera.
Throughout the night, a big herd bull has been bugling just above camp, and at daylight the next morning, he's still quite vocal and quite close to camp. But, he has cows, and with the rut kicking in full swing, Corey's struggling to bring the bull down the hill and into John's setup. As hard as it might be to do, Corey's best bet might just be putting the calls away...but is that something he can do???
Utilizing new, high-quality 3D motion-graphics to help illustrate elk hunting setups, 11-time World Elk Calling Champion, Corey Jacobsen, breaks down actual elk calling scenarios, and details what tactics and strategies were used - or what should have been used - to maximize elk calling success.
