I feel like people (including me) keep boxes because lego being as expensive as it is tricks us into thinking that everything they give us has value. With that being said, I’m gonna hold on to my boxes until they effect my space. You also got me with that ending lol.😂

1. Always throw away boxes( though I keep certain rare boxes(no more than 10 at a time is a necessary)) 2. Keep instructions and every 5 years throw away the booklets of sets that you haven’t displayed or played with in years, most instructions are digital these days and when was the last time that you rebuilt a set from your parts

I never collected my Lego boxes. 1. it's just going to collect dust and wear away and 2. it takes up to much space, but that's just my opinion

Ya, I always recycle my LEGO boxes. It just gets embarrassing sometimes with a mountain of LEGO boxes on the front of my driveway.

I only collect sets from 1978-2000 so my boxes can sell for $50-$400 alone so im never gonna toss them away.

Good man. I don’t intend on selling my collection, but for me the box art and instructions are part of the set and the overall experience. I’d never get rid of my boxes. Over the years I’ve picked up quite a few sets on the secondary market. If they aren’t complete (I.e come with the box, then I’m not interested). I’ve made a few exceptions when it’s been a really great deal, but I’ve then bought the box separately on BrickLink. Again, it’s all about that completeness for me.

I never keep mine, especially with the "thumb tear" seals, the boxes aren't very nice after anyway. Don't even keep the Brickmania ones usually either.

If you can't justify tossing them and don't want to store them, you can always sell them. Modular boxes go for $30-40 a piece.

You almost had me! Some boxes i do recycle but it depends on the sets value. Sets are way easier to ship without the box also. Instructions I will always keep, after years of rebuilding older sets using the scanned instructions are hit or miss sometimes on the scans

Personally i keep my 18 plus boxes like the mighty bowser because its just cool to have sets that required boxes that big and also the instructions in case i knock one over or something like that by accident so i can fix it

I will never keep a lego box. It isn't worth it too me. I enjoy my collection and love my small and special collection. It's only my first year building. Except I'm serious I don't have space for that.

Dang it Shy haha! I throw mine out, but keep the instructions. If the box has dope art/is useful for holding instructions (like the black widow sdcc set) then sure, i'll keep it. But I throw out all other boxes because they just don't mean anything to me.

I do not keep the boxes. I do keep the instructions. In case I want to rebuild them to the original. I tend to modify the sets.

If you dont plan to sell your lego then its cool to throw them away. But they do add value in case of a sale, especially once it can become more collectible with years.
