It's both sad and amazing to see this. Sad because he was so athletic and versatile before those two hip surgeries. Amazing because he is still so impactful and productive despite his loss.
I know he wants to be his old self. I saw he hit a jumper a few games ago. I was like oh man. His body won’t let him fully explode. He’s still in the nba so he still living out his dream. Dang watching this I know he woulda been a beast.
It’s crazy that ppl say he’s lost his game or can’t play like this anymore the man had 2 hip surgery’s plus he’s on a team that needs him to rebound and play defense but he can score if they need him to he proved it in these playoffs
Fuck what anybody say bro the boy Loon has three rings. Knocking on the door for a fourth and has been a vital part of the warriors dynasty. When the core OG are all 50’s and 60ms years of age. They are going to be side by side remembering a time they did it together. Lmao
@@adilerivas17 he doesn’t have 3 rings, he has 2 going on his 3rd if they win this. he came in 2015-2016 season the year they went 73-9 but lost. still a big part of the success though!
Watching this in 2022. Kevon is so special for my beloved GS Warriors. Super underrated, 110% effort, great attitude, mature, high bball iq. Mans been a huge factor for the team.
What the F! First time saw this video. No wonder they were comparing him to KD. Never mind Kevon still doing good with the Warriors and Coach Kerr is happy with his improvements this year, especially the playoffs. For this year he was an ironman, played 82 games! Some even said there was talks that with his health issues will no be able to play again. KL finish the finals series in 6! Go Warriors!!!
His hips betrayed him. He should work on his jumpshot. He would make the Warriors very dangerous again if he could make these kinda shots. Especially wide open ones.
I feel like you could pick any random rotation player in the NBA, look up their HS highlights, and they would be out there looking like MJ or Bron lmao these dudes are on a different level
That's wild! I didn't know he was capable of that. He's plays like some who have only been been a rebounder and shot blocker. I shouldn't be surprised tho. A bench warmer in the nba will destroy most people on the basketball court.
@@Kimorabigby23 I knew he had surgeries, I always thought he played like a big man coming into the league. I didn't know he played like that and his game changed that much. It's even more impressive that he still in the league, he's still competitive, and he found a solid roll on a team.
@@sadatscorpios most guys games were completely different than what they became in the nba. Look at someone like pat bev. He was a scorer in college and now he’s really on defending in the nba. Shows just how big the jump from hs to college to the pros actually is
@@TheIcemanthomas I know that. This wasn't a change by choice. His body can't do it any more. He's, stiff, slow, low vertical with hard hands. That's called a body break down.
YOU HAVE A BETTER BALANCE People with larger feet are often better dancers and athletes than people with smaller feet. The reason for this is, among other things, the shock absorption of movements. Walking affects our body. Our feet are responsible for maintaining balance and supporting body weight.Sep 16, 2020
Looney got a same story like a markele fultz ..both of them is a great player..but somehow they are get the injury and changes the style... and never same again
NEXT UP *Stephen A. Smith voice* "Let’s be nice, let’s be nice. We don’t have to go there. I mean you’re not WRONG, but you didn’t have to SAY IT, good lord..."
Very odd I remember back in these he was advertised as the next Kevin Durant idk what happen when he came into nba made him play like a pick and roll center
This explain why he moves a little slow and protecting his hip... He had some solid games come this playoffs.. a big difference since last year that he looks so afraid to even shoot.. kudos to Warriors coaching staff
0:24 and 1:33 let's you know loon if not still is ....was a shooters shooter. Never brought the ball down at all on that. Straight from the coach's book.
Double Hip Surgery reduced his agility, speed and increased his weight he had to adjust but yeah as Draymond said his comp was actually Kevin Durrant in highschool which clearly is spot on.
kevon was being scouted and was compared to KD because of his playstyle yet 2 hip injuries ruined his athleticism and mobility that changed his playstyle
If he were to work on re-gaining that stroke...even just for catch and shoot 12 footers and 3's, he, and the dubs would be even more dangerous. If he could stretch defenses out, by being a parameter threat, by having a serviceable outside shot, that goes in often enough, that teams had to at least respect and defend it? He would be a monster, and could write his own ticket. Nothing to athletic, just a good corner 3, and a "nowitsky" turn around jumper
