The phrase that really grinds my gears is when a coach/official is announcing the upcoming throwers, "____ is up, ____ is on deck, ____ is ON HOLD".... um.... how 'bout saying in correctly? the third person is IN THE HOLE!!!!!
That’s a great one too. As I was shooting the foul vs fault clip the toe board example popped into my head too. Stop board, kick board, etc. Also the tern official. when parents and athletes call the referee or judge 😂
Hi, i need help with something. Does any one know if there is a proven scientific document measures the differential between standing throws and rotation/spin throws? Assuming that the athlete in question is a competent thrower?
I really don’t think there is any way to measure something like that and put it into an actual scientific document. Assuming that the athlete is actually a competent thrower with experience then there certainly will be a massive increase of distance using the rotation over a standing throw. Now whatever percentage or measured increase that would be would be wildly different depending on so many factors. But I think it’s safe to say that whenever a thrower reaches that perceived level of competence that their distances would increase over their standing throw with the rotational technique.
