Love this marbleware! I recently tried throwing on the wheel for the first time, and loved it! Thanks for your videos, they are very helpful!

Hi there love your videos, incredibly helpful. I was wondering whats your preferred work surface (for hand built pieces)? I work on MDF but its too fuzzy and makes it hard to roll slaps and wedge clay.

I prefer to work on canvas covered boards or tables! Get a really heavy duty canvas, and try covering your MDF- it works really well! It may add a texture, but you can rib it away! :)

Thanks for such a great video.....do you thow these pieces a little thicker so that you'll have more material to facet? Thanks in advance.

Hmmm... you could... I don't think I intentionally throw them thicker. The texture is pretty shallow, so I don't have to worry about cutting through.

I wish you had shown the finished piece after it had been glazed and fired!

Hi! I often don't have time to wait for the drying, firing, glazing, and refiring before posting a video. (I am normally making them after school or on weekends to get them up for my kids who are getting ready to work on their projects!) The bowl just gets deeper in color and intensity when it is clear glazed and fired to cone 6! (Just like the cup I show at the beginning!)

Hello I am an art student and I am trying to start my own poetry shop but I am curious on what brands and types of wheels and kilns would be the best and I've tried resourcing but would love some advice? Is there an email I could reach out to you with?

Hi Hannah- my email contact is karanspotsandphoto@gmail.com I however, would recommend contacting a retailer to get more breadth of knowledge of various products out there. I am quite familiar with the ones I have, but I am not familiar with other brands which may suit your needs more. I highly recommend finding a contact of a retailer close to you so you may not have as much shipping costs for items. My retailer that I use for most things is Cornell Studio Supply out of Dayton. cornellstudiosupply.com/
