Very very good comparison! This is the inco I was looking for my next purchase. I recently lost my New TN12 and still own mu treasured BSS V2 !! So I didn't know which one to get to update my collection with also TC20 and A6. Now I know. Great comparisons and thorough! Thank you, Subscribed.

I bought the BSS V5 a few weeks ago and now after this review I wish I'd bought the TN1 12. Oh well live and learn. Thanks for the review though I appreciate it.

Would have liked to see them in use outside so we can see the difference between the beam strength. They're basically a flood light and a spotlight. I wanted to see how much the beams wash out what your trying to see.

BSS V5. Drop an "S" and you know what you're dealing with. With the personal brand logo of a pretentious RU-vidr who relies on his military service for views, and whom I've personally had the distinct displeasure of interacting with on Blade Forums a few times. BTW, I actually own a couple of Nitecore TN12 Pros, and recommend them. Be sure to get the ones without the ridiculous back-scratchers.

I don't think this was a fair comparison. ONE the tn12 Pro has much higher candela....especialy on Turbo at 32k.Also, the BSS had a NW emitter...different tint and reduced lumens. ...even if they happened to have the same lumens rated output in L, M and H....they don't. One is a pocket "thrower" and the other an EDC light (with tactical accessories....filter and bezel). The TN12 Pro's L mode is rated at 50 lumens the BSS at I think 34 (?) Or was it 29? . Right there it's not really fair...even if the BSS had a CW emitter....the TN12 PRO having almost 50 percent more lumens... I'd bet we WOULD see a HUGE difference when in H-mode 500 vs 14xx?? :) At the same distance? The BSS would be blinding and washout detail... :) I own a BSS v5...got it lat week (Jan 2023). Happy with it. Interesting you nor any other reviewer didn't see the same issues with your copy of the BSS as did CHEULE LIGHT (e.g. grint tint, button jamming, red tint not being the "right shade" to be effective in protecting our night vision).

A comparison by definition shows the similarities and differences. Was this video to promote one versus another? Which was the winner? No... If was a COMPARISON...period. I don't understand the "fair" part. I could compare any two lights if it has a level of relevance. My point being people might wonder the difference between those two models while looking at them website. Not everyone is as educated about flashlights as you are. Here's some data points to think about.
