Thanks for the review! Thrunite is my favorite flashlight brand. And I discovered this model first today, and ordered one. When it comes to the brightness levels I want to explained why I actually think Thrunite is spot on here. While the steps between medium and high looks pretty big it's not as big as one could expect. Many flashlights have 2x increase per mode and that can be a drawback. For example a 4 mode light with following levels: 50, 100, 200 and 400 lumen and all of them are included in the memory. While you easy can discern between 50 and 400, and even 50 and 200lm when you have been used to the light, you will often not be sure if the brightness is 50 or 100lm, or if it is 100 or 200. Or 200 or 400lm, and so on. You may not always be sure what mode you used last time. And especially for a person with some OCD this can be frustrating. But with the mode spacing of T1S it will not be an issue. The function with firefly and turbo not included in the memory(but instead direct access) is great. And when I turn on the light there will not be doubt about whether it turns on low, medium or high. The difference between the modes is enough big to determine what mode is active, so I don't need to cycle through the modes in order to be sure I get it right. Unless a flashlight has an indicator showing the active mode before you turn it on, the difference should be at least 3 times between two steps. And 4-5 times I think is perfect. Therefore Thrunite did the right with a light like T1S, in my opinion. An added ~200lm mode had messed it up as I see it.

Excellent review. Looks to be a little bigger than my Acebeam TK16 which I love. Great review - keep them coming.

I just got my Thrunite T1s tonight. I love it, but I'm torn between it and the T1 for what I use it for. I usually clip the T1 to the bill of my cap when I go out to my feeding stations where I feed the local critters. So I clipped both the T1 and the T1s to the bill of my cap as I was refilling feeders etc. Switching back and forth between the two. Then I turned them both on at the same time while they were attached to the bill of my hat. I'm ruined, that is what I prefer now. The T1 floods the area so well and the T1s punches through so I can be aware of my surroundings at a further distance. It's like having a double barrel flashlight attached to your bill and both are so light I don't even notice. I guess if it came down to it, I would chose the T1s over the original T1. You guys need to try them both attached to your caps. My favorite flashlights of the dozen or so that I have.

There are a few headlamps with similar features closer floody beam and throw that you can independently control. Wurkkos has 2

Love my T1. Would definitely add this to the collection if it was ramping. The stepped light level is a downgrade, IMO. But the TIR might make up for it.

Very new to lights, is there something with USB C, run times, roughly dimensions and most of the rest in common BUT in titanium ?

Maybe look into the Acebeam Ryder RX. It's similar, I have a review on the non titanium one. Olight Baton 3 also has a titanium version from memory I think.

You make the comment that the light color is pretty "usable" at high lumen levels....I don't understand that statement. That light is VERY useable throughout the steps...not just at the top end...we don't all love yellow light...I use my light to see what is in the dark, I don't use it to look at color and white light shows me everything that is in the dark.

I'm referring to the tint. It gets pretty ugly with a lot of tint shift at lower outputs. It's a common problems with some LED's. Some of us care very strongly about light quality not only quantity. Sure some light is better than no light and ill use what I have but if I am deciding if I buy a new torch I want something ill gladly and happily use in all situations not as a last-ditch effort.
