I got everything working but now I'm trying to move the flame to a different position and it doesn't seem like I can do that I can move the polygons but the flame doesn't move with it Is there a fix for this? Edit: In case anyone else has this issue the fix is when selecting the object in object mode if you go on Options make sure the Affect only origin is ticked off
Hi! I really like this deisgn, but I have a few questions about problems I ran into. First, for some reason I never got that circular white disc that is shown at the 50 second mark. Would you happen to know how to fix that? I'm guessing because of that, I got a rectangular flame. And I couldn't get it to show in any renders. Any help would be appreciated! You want to plug 'object ' from texture coordinate node to mapping node, sometimes alpha blend won't show in render so try alpha hashed, make sure origin point stays in the top middle .🙂
@@my3darts Thanks. That did work, however, I also had to change the alpha settings on the first coloramp to zero at the black end to make it transparent, and the other coloramp with white only at both ends.
In blender any tab, if you click N it will open something in right side, if you click T it will open something in left side, Your mistake is, I think you selected the key frame and clicked N, First you need to deselect the keyframe, click N, then select the keyframe, and select the noise texture

The tip of the flame still has a black background appear I when I put it into another model and rendered, any tip on how to make it transparent with only the flame showing?
Yes, we can, insert a map range node in the left side of the color ramp, now you can animate the map range node, in will control the sliders in the colorramp. If you want to animate the colors in the colorramp, just click the color and you will see , RGB, HSV, HEX , you can animate all those values
Plug the object form the texture coordinate to mapping, if you see white color there must be scaling issue or transparency issue, set the blend mode to alpha blend 🙂 make sure that the orgin point stays at the top of the mesh.
Ok, you can export your rocket model, you can export texture, png, jpeg, exr, but you can't export the flame because, it is a blend file. Blender shader editor' only supports blender programs, you can't export the flame,
@sugig4ng55 What did you do to get it to work? I still can't get the circle to show after switching to spherical? Must be something new with 4.1 because i have done everything exactly as shown.
