Your reviews are the best on youtube ! And ive watched qiute a lot of them. Been looking at getting the ts sparco p310 wheel mainly because it is on offer, with a tha8 shifter for free with pedals i wish the ts pc racer with sparco rally wheel was on the same offer as i would get that instead , great review now i know whats inside all the wheel bases. Thanks for your time and effort
lol. get some chrome spray paint jesus. they dont bend break or anything who cares what they do.. i have a t3pa set. adn a TLCM. and it doesnt matter if its plastic . metal or wood. if they work. and feel good to you. and you can practice u will get used to an ything. i just always suggest if u are going to sim race. get a H shifter.. handbrake. and make sure u got 3 pedals. driving automatic with a wheel is the lamest shite in the world
Ive got this setup in october last year for 650€ with the h-shifter, bought the rally 383 rim and the tss sparco hb/seq.. Im very happy with how it all came together.. Just a shame that the transducer isnt supported in other tittles, wheel feels even better in gt sport.. I even feel the rumbling in parts of my metal rig, combined with the fanatec rumble pedal set it realy is imersing. Next year, dd wheel
I wonder if thrustmaster will ever see this I really hope they do considering the king of sim racing reviews starts to chuckle to himself about plastic parts on your wheels. Thrustmaster you've got to step your game up
It's never gonna happen. Thrustmaster wants to sell products with the highest profits possible, with the lowest manufacturing price possible. Simply enough.
Great to hear you mention tyre model. Right or wrong GT and PC2 have a progression of grip that iRacing lacks. Grip in iRacing whilst good feels binary in comparison.
You were 3 years before me here.. the sad part is that iRacing is still somewhat like Bambi on ice. If you slip just a little bit in iRacing, it's 99.7% certain you spin out. At least, with the T-GT II. today I saw an awful lot of simracers dancing off-track with the Porche 911 GT3 (992), as slippery as sliding on ice... but it was on the lawn.. friction == zero. I declare that the next update must be a namechanger.. behold, the new name must be..... iDancing
@@peroels do you have a tgt 2? i never had a wheel before and im done with my controller, i love racing games and ive been looking at the tgt2. can you give me your thoughts about it and do you recommend it? thanks in advance
@Revv you are very smart to ask about this! Because if I'd known that the force feedback system is exclusively for gran turismo 7. In GT7 it is really good, but in iRacin, it doesn't work as well. It would be a great wheel if the FFB would be active in all games. If I knew this, I would buy a direct drive wheel instead, because it is available in a little bit more than that price range. Search for review and compare prices on a direct drive wheel. I like the steering wheel I have, but it was a blow below the belt to discover the FFB limits.
@@peroels i dont mind the transducer only being available for gt7, i just want to know how good the ffb is on other games (exclude iracing cause i dont play it), do you have any issues with wheel or anything? is it good for a beginner wheel for someone who is new to simracing
@Revv @Revv it would be a good beginner wheel, but at the price point it is, I don't think it is worth it, when you can get a Direct Drive for just a little more or maybe even less. The FFB is very scarce in other games. In gt7 it is great. The pedals vibrate too. I have the t-lcm to be clear, if the t-3pm doesn't vibrate. I regret the purchase because of the ffb delivery difference. I don't understand how someone could mean it was a good idea. Thrustmaster would have reached a lot more people if it was no exclusivity. But I think gt7 has put in a donation for that.
Watching this now after picking up a used set locally for $350 and will probably let go of my T300. I am anxiously waiting for my CSL DD coming in November. I wouldn't of gotten the T-GT if it wasn't for the good deal. Thanks Barry!
@@FXCartel I like it, especially for playing GT Sport. I use it now exclusively for my Playstation. I actually have the first gen T-GT, so you should be happy with the T-GT2 until you get you CSL DD. I love mine :-)
I modded my T-GT II transducer to work from a small karaoke amp running off the onboard sound on my motherboard using simhub , the transducer is only a 10 watt transducer but gives enough vibration to simulate various effects on the wheel, hopefully soon a will be hooking up another transducer on the other channel on the amp and put it on my pedals and I'm set. so i have a fully functional T-GT II on the pc :) i just routed a cable in through the pedals socket as i didn't use it so just unscrewed it and left it inside , took the connector for the cable off the internal motherboard going to the transducer and then soldered a cable directly to the transudes terminals and then hooked it up to a small amp and it worked a charm. tried a 15 watt , 5watt and a 50 watt amp settled on the 50 watt amp as the other amps where not very good for the job and and the 15 watt amp didn't give much improvement over the 5 watt amp and resonated the transducer well before the volume on the amp was half way so guess the transducer is a small 10 watt tuned specifically for PS 5 GT game ingame feedback.
I’m a big fan and enjoy ur videos. I am currently racing on console due to a lack of gaming pc. Gran Turismo 7 is the main game I play. I am currently looking at installing a buttkicker to my rig but not encouraged by the minimal ways of connecting it. I was wondering if u thought it might be possible to tap into the signal of the transducer on the base as a better option . I am considering purchasing the TGTII for this very reason but wanted to hear someone else’s opinion on whether or not it’s even possible . Thank u for ur time and all the work u do
I'm curious as to how long SRG has been in existence? You seem to be from an engineering background, what do you do professionally? I agree with the previous comment. a tour of your rig would be a treat!
so great to watch these reviews... the recording quality, the voice and of course the unique content both make this channel one of the best on youtube!
If u mount it to the rig without the neoprene padded washers, it might make the rig rattle and vibrate like people were saying, the padded washers make it transfer the vibrations smoother.
like always, great review... i expect one more to be review to be compared across all the wheel, torque test...i mean real torque test...there is no channel talked bout that...
lecz trzeba wspomnieć że przetwornik blokuje wylot powietrza oraz szybko psuje się wentylator który trzeba wymienić na mocniejszy oraz wydajniejszy np. Noctua NF-A4X20 5V
Your description of the loss of traction on PC sims is spot on. Always wondering why they feel so dead during that initial loss of grip as you should still be able to feel the wheel moving around and vibrating during the slide. Is there anyways to mod this FFB effect into existing games?
Hello, I bought a brand new TX leather edition wheel and there is a serious problem with it. I play with three-four fingers(with one hand, no full grip) and regardless of the setting, from the recommended to almost maximum, the FFB is either absent or very faintly felt. When I tested the "forces" from the control panel, there are no vibrations, only the steering wheel turns with some of them. The store refused me a replacement, they sent it to a service center. The base does not overheating at all. What do you think the problem might be? Thanks!
i have it ,...and i do not regret it..i bought for 600 €and was total waste of money..grainy plastic feel of ffb ..not much detail..u must bring dumper and spring down to actually feel road surfaces ..and its really not good
You put this video thank you very much . Now i have a question. I want to buy tgt or fanatec elite for gran Tourismo game , i know maybe tft have better support for gt sport but i think fanatec is better wheel . You can help me to choose? (Sorry for my English 😊) thank you
I guess these are the updated T3PA, and if so i there may come an updated T3PA PRO verson as well. T3PA PRO is a great pedal set, I am still using mine 8 year old, they never give up. Most i would like to see a third option more high-end pedal set like an ULTIMATE pedal kit from TM. And why they never did an LC update KIT is a big question to me also... I actually had a meeting with the TM Development dept, but seems like they were more offended than they would like to listen. It hurted my heart, as i have always been a TM Supporter and enthusiast since 94. But TM has been standing still in the SimRacing area, and not been following the market like they should. I would say, the TM Developers have been sleeping in the Simracing area. I have been in this business since 1990, and a TM importer & distributor in Scandinaiva from 95 (not today). Also I am the ex-Prosim.no founder.
Best sim review on youtube, i just wonder if there is a very tangible difference of this vs g29. Im very inclined to buy the g29 because of the pricing. How far from a direct wheel system would you classify each of them? Gran turismo is not my main focus.
Hello good sir! I got one of these and mistakenly put into 220V and turned it into a spinning toaster... I'm having trouble getting the wiring diagram, so i can change the right exploded chips... have you seen any wiring diagram laying around?
No more information on the transducer ? I would really love to wire it (but still in place) to an external amplfiier (only) and use it with simvibe. Also do you happen to know if Assetto Corsa can output sound to two output sources at the same time ? Should be doable I guess. The idea is the resistance in ohms and the power rating for the transducer. I would think its 4 ohms and maybe 25-50W ? Please help if you investigated further ! Thanks.
1) I dont like driving (dont even own a car) 2) I dont play racing SIMs. 3) I rearly play racing games (except need for speed Porsche 2000, underground 1 and 2) 4) I am watching this and trying to convince myself that I dont need it.
Barry, you don't need GT Sport for running a decent tyre model. Just launch rF2 and use some of the newer content. No chance I can enjoy iRacing after rF2.
Interesting to see you use the road view on GT Sport, there is an option to adjust the view in the cockpit if you didn’t check. Great review as usual. I’m currently on GT 5 with a DFGT, still having fun though. Decided to pick up a G29 with shifter for just under $300 on Amazon. Question is: what game to get? I just got GT sport but feel like it’s limited in scope even compared to GT5. I have a decent laptop for pc games, any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks!
iRacing for great physics and amazing racing, but very pricey. Assetto Corsa for great physics and cheap, Project cars 2 for meh physics, meh racing, but a hell of a lot of fun!
EAGLiBRiUM Thanks, seems like the general consensus, do you like F1? I really like the F1 racing on GT5, thinking about getting F1 2018. iracing looks cool but I don’t want to have to subscribe to a service, might try it for a month though.
@@MrNiceKnife unfortunately I haven't tried the F1 games yet so I can't really comment on that. Yeah I was like that with iracing too. However, it got to a point in other games where I just wasn't satisfied with the racing quality, so iracing is where I usually race competitively now, also if you do decide to give iracing a go, make sure to look online for some promotion codes, you can get 3 months for the price of 1 if it's your first time buying iracing!
on a sensation pro playseat the transducer vibration felt pretty good . would love to get this working on pc (bought one second hand very cheap , yes it was too good the pass on it)
good afternoon I have a GT II, can you tell me what the IC code is next to the MCC42A diode? it's the small board where the 1ue colored cables come in and powered with 24v, can you help me?
I know you get about 2nm more tore force feed back but i have the same question with my TX (same as 300) Is it woth upgrading will i feel a difference or i have to go to a clubsport to feel a difference
Just wanted to know if I could put an aftermarket wheel on there? I dont need the buttons on the rim and dont like the size of the stock rim. Also noticed the race quads in the background. Looks like RaceKraft 5051s on that black quad 🤘.
Question ...is the speaker for audio or is it for some tactile ffb vibration ? Something like some low frequency transducers that we know from home cinema use to mount under couch , that gives the sense of explosions with direct body vibrations ?
@@simracinggarage3026 thank you. Do you think the Ts-Pc is much superior to the T300? I mean if the T300 is 8 in detail and 8 in FFB power, the TS-Pc where it stand ?
Hi Barry, Cheers from Budapest, Hungary 🇭🇺 Europe. I really like your channel, it's very informative and enjoyable. I would like to mod my T-GT exactly like you said, with a butkicker on my seat. Mainly because I really like GT Sport, and that game is a Playstation exclusive title. So I need to feed my buttkicker with audio or with a modification what you mentioned... Which one you would prefer, and why? I'm really looking forward to your answer... Thank you Barry! Wish you the bests... 👍
So are you saying GTS has better tyre feel than most or all PC Sims? Or was that just with the Thrustmaster wheel that goes to ice? Are you ever going to get a CSWv2. 5 to compare to the older CSWv2?
As far as the intial start of a slide, yes GTS does have more tire feel than say iRacing and most other but not all PC sims I have used. You loose all rear tire feeling when you enter a slide. Like hitting an ice patch. In GTS you can still feel what the rear tires are doing. I believe this is a result of the type of FFB effect that GTS uses for road surface feel. It is like a constant grainy feel all the time you drive, but not in your face grainy. It is a bit suttle, but there. A bit like driving on older back roads. You can feel the grain of the road surface in the steering wheel. Of couse only my opinion. I'm sure there are others that may disagree.
Thanks for this review. A very expansive Wheel but the best upgrade with the Fanatec CSL for G29 or T300 Owners….Sorry for my English but I'm French so it's not obvious for me.
Honestly, I'm not sure it's a big enough upgrade over the T300 to justify the price. Probably better to just save for a direct drive in that situation.
Would be good if we could just buy the servo base unit so I could carry over my 599xx wheel and T3PA Pro pedals from my T300rs. If I have to spend £700 then that's Fanatec territory.
My T-GT steering wheel stopped doing the initial check and the control panel doesn't recognize any of the buttons. The steering wheel does not rotate and moves by itself only a few degrees from side to side. I have already performed all the procedures on the support page but the problem has not been resolved. This has happened before and I just restarted the computer twice and the steering wheel returned to normal operation. But now I did several reboots, uninstalled the driver, reinstalled again, without a solution. does anyone know a solution to this problem?
Hi Barry, I am having problems with my t-gt wheel. When I turn the steering wheel it changes the settings randomly (view, SCT, break balance, blue screen, etc.) A suggestion please ?
Awesome! Thanks Barry for the response. I've been wanting one for a very long time. But there isn't much information out there. Specifically regarding its VR support.
Mikey6048 really ? I found a lot of RU-vid videos on. The v3 comes with some a vr mode that keeps the view centered during movement. So it seems good for vr. Again most of the reviews I seen they run vr as well.
@@02semiata Yea I've seen them, but none are in depth like Barry's videos provide. They mention it but down go in depth. I need all the information I can before I drop 3k$ on something.
