Have this exact wheel myself. Bought to use with pc games. Yes, it will work with pc, Thrustmaster offers config drivers onsite. Love this wheel, great review.
Thank you for this review video! We just bought one for my wife. She loves Euro Truck Simulator and American Truck Simulator, so she falls into the more casual side of the driving game scene. Gonna get her into a couple racing games, though, because she loves arcade racers.
Sorry man but this wheel is really ment for kids. If anyone is deeply in to sim racing. A wheel for some type of feedback is a must. Now I got this little wheel because I was thinking cheap is not always bad.😢 I was wrong!😅 With no resistance when your turning it feels unreal. And a sim is based on real world driving. So an upgrade is a must. So is the wheel any good, yes it works on your PS4 and 5. It's perfect for those that can drive with out any resistance. On your PS5 plug it in the front and go to your controller settings to make sure it's on. Once on you can test your wheels functionality.
Thank you for the review. I'm actually wanting one to make the experience more immersive as I play some games that use a lot of driving to get to places and I found out these wheels are compatible so I was like why not?
This wheel can give you a more realistic driving experience than using a controller, but I can't tell you that this is what you should use to train yourself in real life for a driving test. I suppose it could help you, but there's nothing like getting real driving experience under your belt in an actual vehicle. Buy this wheel for racing in video games, not for real life driving practice.
Honestly, the only way to become better at driving is hands on experience. When you're not able to do actual driving, you should sit down and study all the laws of the road. Actually driving a car seems like a scary thing, but it's not that hard, and you'll get better with experience. There are lots of people out there who are licenced drivers but are total idiots on the road because they don't know or choose not to follow traffic laws. I know it's boring to study, and it's not fun like getting behind the wheel, but learning the laws and regulations on driving will put you ahead of all the idiot drivers out there, so don't sweat it dude. Study for the driving exam, and drive with your dad when you can. You'll be fine.
I honestly don't know. I have not played either of those games. Since Crew 2 is a racing game, I can't see it not working with it though. As far as GTA V, I have no idea.
I belive it does 240 degrees if you are looking for a cheap wheel like me there is the hori racing wheel apex it does 270 degrees works with most games I dont know which one to get this one or hori apex I guess the one that will be on sale
Seeing as you can connect a controller and the steering wheel to the PS4, does this mean you can play GTA 5 with it? I'm useless at driving with a controller, all over the place, killing people and smashing into stuff lol 😂
the fact it doesn't have FFB really sucks :( but the thing is this costs like 100 euro less than the ones with ffb so I don't think that issue alone will make me go for a better one. At the end of the day i don't play a ton of racing games, i love GT and might buy project cars or assetto racing and I just want a little fun and always wanted a steering, but 200+ euro is just crazy.
I completely understand. In fact, that's pretty much the same situation I was in when I decided to buy the T80. If you can get past the lack of FFB, then this is definitely the way to go, as it's much more affordable.
As a disabled viewer, I'd just like to say thank you for the subtitles! 💜 It really means a lot when you have hearing difficulties. I just bought this second hand for my birthday, after buying it on sale for £12 on a whim, I've gotten far more into Gran Turismo Sport than I thought I would! 😄 I've unfortunately never gotten to drive in real life (apart from a couple times when I was really small), but I really enjoy that games like GT Sport give me the opportunity to have a pretty realistic driving experience, and at least from playing a Sega Saturn with the analogue steering wheel (admittedly with OutRun), I think a wheel and pedals feel more natural even if you _don't_ know how to drive in real life.
No problem! I admittedly do not make subtitles on most of my videos, but because this one became so popular, I thought I should add them. I'm glad that they were useful to you, and thank you for watching!
Zohaib Asif Hahaha! I've actually been told that before! Thank you too. I made this review because there weren't many whenever I was considering buying one. I wanted to let people know how it was.
@@frankelias89er I can't say, as I have never used the G29. If I were you, I would find a review of that wheel, and compare what you learn about it to what you know about the T80, and then get whichever one suits you the best.
@@frankelias89er in my opinion Logitech is better, has the force feedback and is a more sturdy wheel. If you're looking for budget, go the T80 route. If you are looking for something to get the job done, T80. If youre looking to have a little more fun and realistic feel, go the Logitech route
Did you test it out with GT Sport demo? Is it fully compatible with the game? Was thinking of buying this one as my first wheel ever. Seems like the best option for around 100e.
David Adamović That is an excellent question. I unfortunately did not get the opportunity to try the demo, so I'm not sure. However, the T80 is compatible with most racing games on PS4, and since GT Sport is such an important release for the PS4, I would guess that it is most definitely fully compatible with the T80.
David Adamović I wasn't aware the demo was now public on PS4. I'm downloading it now. I will test the T80 and let you know how it performs with GT Sport.
I greatly appreciate your review on this wheel. I appreciate mostly the angle in which you approach the wheel, as I believe wheels in this price range should be approached. Thank you for all the pros/cons you shared with it.
Industrial strength velcro with the adhesive backing. 24x24x1 plywood with a 10" 2x4 block fastened in to middle of the plywood for elevation of the pedals put it all together and you have a pretty solid pedal mount. You'll be able to stomp the brake when needed and lay into the gas without all the shifting of the pedals.
It DEFINITELY improves your driving performance because the analog stick just overturned for me. Also just like IRL the more you press either pedal the more accel or braking you get. I am able to take tight turns on drive club vr now that with the normal controller I kept spinning out on. Also using your feet frees up your mind for using your hands just to turn and shift. Oh and regarding the shifting it has the steering wheel shift bars just like the racing pros cars have.
Buddy I love your review, on that alone I decided to get myself one coz I have so many racing/SIM games and the controller has shitted me so much i don't play them now.... but u were spot on with everything u said... thanks buddy.. also subed to your channel.. looking forward to more vids... take care
You sound like Jim Halpert impersonating Stanley Hudson from The Office. Anyways what I'm saying is the calm and smooth talking helped explained a lot about this wheel so thank you!
Another MASSIVE con and personally the worst out of all of them, is that its not 900 degrees of rotation. So if you want a wheel for trucking, this wheel aint for you. Get the G920 instead. Or the G923 if you have a little more to spare.
I took a 2 drawer vertical filing cabinet and removed both drawers. Mounted the wheel to the top and put the pedals inside the hollow "shell" where the bottom drawer should be. Fits me nicely and stopped the sliding
OK so I got lucky and managed to fix the pedal moving around problem. I have a one square foot table that's three feet tall and I stuck the pedal inside it at the base. the table legs keep it nice and tight and secure AND the curved legs act to "clamp" the pedal down so it wont rise up when pressing the pedals. It works like a charm. Here is a picture:
I have a problem with this wheel, for some reason in f1 2020 there's ". When I turn the wheel a little bit to the right it goes to the left but y turn more to the right and it stops turning left its kinda weird because I just have two zero points - what I mean is when the wheel is turning left, it goes to + and when the wheel turns right it goes to - when it’s supposed to do +, well my wheel goes from +2,3,4 to -38,40,54 and stuff like that. I already know that obviously the problem is some kind of calibration error that makes the wheel have 2 centers, but can you help me
Guys this wheel is actually one of the best you can get because I have one myself and you there is something that you can do I can play gta 5 with this I can literally play any racing game I have it’s really cool I do recommend this video anyway great vid man good job
You can get a usb headset that has a mic and plug it into second usb on ps4. Check out mpow. They have solid headgear that has a switchable adapter. You can usb or 3.5mm jack. Gamestop probably resold a used wheel to you. They are horrible about that. Refurbished sold as new.
This wheel has served me so well. I bought it when pcars came out and I still use it for gt sport now. I'm a broke middle schooler otherwise I would have bought a nicer wheel. Only wear I have seen is the rubber wearing a little
That's a great question. I'm not sure. I've never tried it on my Xbox. However, the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 wheel is for Xbox, and appears to be the exact same as the T80, just a bit more stylish (and same price). Hope I could help.
