Pretty much says everything in the title. I didn't see any videos on how to do this when I searched it so I figured I would post one to help all the people at all who just want to play the game with a cheap base model wheel.
I have the same wheel in the video and I have nfs pay back in PS4 but I can’t drive with wheel the only way I can play is with the controller ..... do you know what should I do
I have a problem with this wheel in the calibration where u put the steering deadzone and linearity and those things. When I turn the wheel a little bit to the right it goes to the left but when I turn more to the right and it stops turning left and goes right andit does. the same when i turn left, its kinda weird because I just have two zero points - which means when the wheel is turning left is shows + and when it turns right it shows -, well my wheel goes from +2,3,4 to -38,40,54 and stuff like that. I already know that obviously the problem is some kind of calibration error that makes the wheel have 2 centers, but can you help me?
Ok are you using PS3, PS4, XBOX, or PC? We will start from the basics. Sorry for the late response RU-vid didn't notify me of this notification. I just happened to check my dashboard.
@@5ulz632 I'm going to send you a link to a video. I think it's your potentiometer. This was the part that was making mine do what yours is doing now. One of the three wires had broke loose from the potentiometer and all I had to do was re-solder it. I would hate for you to have to take the wheel apart but if it constantly keeps doing it it then you have nothing to lose at this point in time. Actually before doing something super drastic tell me has the wheel worked on the game your are trying to play ever before?
It totally changes the way you game. Took some time getting used to it but now I could never go back to controller. It's gets hard to walk away from after a while.
Yes the red flash indicates the less sensitive wheel settings. The T80 has two modes and a total of 4 settings. Solid red works as controller mode and makes the console or PC read the wheel as a dualshock 3 or dualshock 4. In order to get the red solid light you must hold the power button down on the wheel while plugging the USB into the PC or console. Repeating this step will return you to the sensitivity mode. The flashing lights will be your 3 other settings. Green being the easiest sensitivity orange being medium and red being the hardest. These settings can be cycled through by pulling back on both the left and right paddle shifts and clicking down on the directional pad all at the same time. Sad to say the arcady side of things are a little to prominent in the nfs franchise so having the sensitivity all the way down was the only way I could enjoy the game. I later used a device called a titan two in which I used a script to write out the deadzone and further soften up the wheel sensitivity.
Np man. I don’t think it’s possible to used the map with the wheel. I just keep a remote beside me and use the map that way. It sucks but you get used to it pretty fast.
My t80 wheel wont turn my car all the way in payback. I can bust a u turn with my remote but i have to do a 3 point turns with the t80 how do i fix this
THELEGEND 27 OK I think I know what you’re going to have to do. You are in standard thrust-master mode right now with the solid red light. Unplug the thrust master from the PS4. Then while holding the PS button in the center of the wheel plug the USB back into the PS4 and you will see the lights start flashing instead of being solid. Then you can use the shifters and the down button on the pad to change the sensitivity.
Dude that's so awesome to hear! I have since this video gotten rid of this wheel but I close buddy of mine has it. So if you ever have any questions on any just lmk!
On heat? Or payback? It's been I while since I had played need for speed and I do not have this wheel anymore. Maybe it came in update or something after I stopped playing but as far as I can remember this was the only way.
Yeah it's like a controller mode. All you have to do is pull back on both of the paddle shifters and hit down on the dpad. It works but it throws the sensitivity for the steering wheel massively.
Jessi Brito I used to keep a remote near me until purchased a button mapping device. The Titan two T2. I have hear or the crosshair although I have not tried it yet.
I can't confirm rivals working due to not owning that exact game title. I do know for fact the only game I have had a issue with is burnout paradise so far. This is the link to the t80 this is the one shown in the video www.amazon.com/Guillemot-Thrustmaster-T80-RS-PS4/dp/B00F9F048E/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=ZNC6W2FX50CL&keywords=thrustmaster+t80&qid=1656331871&sprefix=thrustmaster+t80%2Caps%2C803&sr=8-4 I would however recommend you not to purchase this wheel after checking some prices online. I wouldnt spend more that 60 bucks on it brand new honestly. Definitely try to stay away from any used setups. These wheels were nice at the time they released but super easy to break. This one is called the pnx v9 i havent tried this one and it looks like you get a bit more features for the same price just about. If im not mistaken it even has force feed back comes with a clutch pedal and a shifter. Should still be able to button swap in the ps4 menu as well. www.amazon.com/Steering-Racing-Driving-Shifters-3-pedal-Desktop/dp/B08MT7PY4J/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=J06WATAZ0ZE4&keywords=pnx+v9+gaming+steering+wheel&qid=1656332449&sprefix=%2Caps%2C470&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFOMTRBUzVMSERHNVgmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA5OTE4OTE4TkxNTlZSNjk4R0UmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDgzMjE4ODFETzRJRks2QzA4SEcmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
I don't see why it shouldn't although I can't truly confirm. Check and see if the button assignment option is in the PS slim settings. As long as it's the same as mine you should be good to go.
I guess that works but that's actually not how to do it You have to switch the wheel to normal mode aka the light isn't blinking and it'll work Just don't fuck up your keybinds pls just switch the wheel mode by holding the ps button and plugging it in at the same time
If someone can confirm that button assignments are a thing in the PS5 menu then I don't see why it wouldn't. Sadly I don't have a PS5 to test it out for you.
Unfortunately The crew 2 is one of the only racing games I don’t have. I bought the first one for PS4 and could never get online. After going back-and-forth with Ubisofts technical support and my Internet provider they told me the only option I had was to turn the firewall off on my Internet. So I never even tried my chances with the second title. This wheel is not force feed back so to be 100% honest it won’t be the best. I have upgraded to the Logitech G29 and even this will is getting old and I have been looking into the fanatec podium F1 setup now. Depending on the cash you are willing to spend is the biggest factor. Sorry for the long message I was responding to both of your messages
Cody Holbrook OK I’m going to just let you know this I would definitely look into getting the Ferrari version and T80. The wheel is a little bit larger than the base model T80. Are you on Xbox PlayStation or PC?
Ok so now you are down to which console you would prefer to use. I have a Logitech G29 its PS4, ps3, and pc compatible. And with a titan two USB adapter you can use it with xbox.(yes the adapter is another $100 but this is just thinking ahead for the future) I use this Playstation wheel on my Xbox with Forza. The Logitech G920 is the Xbox version. It’s Xbox and pc ready. I however don’t own one so I can’t confirm if the adapter I own would allow you to use this wheel on PS4. You should be able to find the G29 on eBay for around $200 minus the shifter. It’s a separate add on purchase. Which ever console you have more racing games on would be the decision maker for me.
Commissioner Gordon unplug the wheel from the PS4 then hold the PS button in the center of the wheel as you plug in the USB. Once the center button is flashing red you are in sensitivity mode. To change the sensitivity simply pull your right and left triggers while hitting the down arrow on the pad. If will flash red for hard orange for medium and green for easy.
Gab Dulay Just do the exact same thing that you did to get it into the sensitivity level that you are at now. It should be just as simple as holding the PS button down while your PlayStation is powered on and plugging in the USB back into the PlayStation all at the same time.
It should work with any wheel as long as the wheel is compatible with PlayStation 4 but I can't confirm a hundred percent because this was the first setup I've ever done for PlayStation without a standard remote.
It’s a super cheap $120 wheel. All plastic. Definitely a starter wheel and nothing to write home about. I have upgraded to the Logitech G29 since this video and even that setup has started to bore me. Fanatec is the route I’m leaning towards now. Even building the whole cockpit with projector and car dash.
What wheel are you using? Have you confirmed the PlayStation button assignment settings? Make sure to set the vehicle to manual in the games menu settings. Are the paddle shifters working in other games? If you are on T80 check the comments there are a decent amount of successful users.
