Video is nice, but i Really tired to keep looking for the size guidelines. It is totally not clear how to select a BAR length for a car. I have distance of 94 cm between built-in rails. How long BARs I need, 94 or less due to Edge additional length? How big gap is possible? ... Why it is much easier to find this info for another BAR brands?
2 bars must be spaced by 70 cm min according to the video. What is the max space between them ? How are we supposed to choose the position of both bars ? How far should the front bar be from the windshield ? or the rear bar from the antenna ? My car is a Ford Focus 3 SW. I already bought all needed parts following the website Thule, but i need some answers. Thanks a lot.
@therawandcooked definitely you know the way. I struggled thinking it should easily slide into the rail….finally gave up and used a flat head to get that plastic piece into the rail
Nope - no codswhallop here (whatever that is). Simply stand the cross bar vertically, insert the bracket into the rail and with both thumbs, (a thumb on each side of the retention nodule), press very firmly down on each side of the nodule at the same time and bend the plastic as you force bracket downward - the nodule will duck under the edge enough to push the bracket in and make the nodule click into its hole. (At 1:28 in the video, the nodule is actually pressed (but with invisble thumbs) just as the rack is slid fully into the cross bar). Easy peasy.
Yes they are metal so they can take the weight of the cargo and be safe to use. The clamps have a special paint that is rubberized to prevent scratching. So if you clean the railing and maintain as recommended in the manual it wont scratch the railing.
Hi. I have a question that need urgent reply (I am going on holiday on the 17th of August and need a roof bar). I have a grand C4 Picasso 2015 with Flush rails (not raised). But it looks a lilittle bit different than the one you are showing. How can I explain is all in one piece smooth so would the clamp fit?On the internal part of each rails there is an horizontal hole to fix the other side of the clamp. I went to my local Halford and the guy told me that he is not sure it will fit even it you state it will. HELP!

The Thule Flush Rail Evo foot pack is 7.2cm high up until the bar underside. The Thule Flush Rail Edge foot pack is 5.4 cm high including the bar so the edge versions bar comes much closer to the roof.
What's the mount kit number of the one in the video? I need a fit kit that works with my flush mounts! My flush mounts are similar than the ones in the video! Does any one knows the part number?

The height between bar and roof depends on the bar design, height of flush railing and the specific kit for your car so it is hard to give you a number there. We never recommend opening sunroofs with a roof rack installed unless the sunroof goes in under the roof of the car like it does on Subaru Forester.

Hello. I need help about the difference of Thule roof racks. I am in between this model (Thule Edge Fixpoint) and Thule Wingbar Edge 959x series. I could not find any comparision. Would you please tell which one has lower profile (near to roof) and better aerodynamics? Thanks.
