In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access the guide (in addition to our 4-part video series on Choosing the Right Stroller for your Lifestyle, and other helpful content) on Patreon: / stroller-buyers-37953864
These materials are also available via channel membership on RU-vid: / @barnevognverkstedno , and BuyMeaCoffee: buymeacoffee.com/thestrollerw...
In this video we take a close look at the Thule Spring, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of its design in relation to comfort, functionality, engineering, longevity and optimal use.

In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' on our Patreon page (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access it here: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 As an independent, consumer-oriented reviewer, we have fewer revenue-streams open to us than the majority of other channels out there, so we do ask for a small donation for access to this guide (as well as a free consultation and access to our other Patreon content). Thanks so much for your help!

Love your review! Very helpful! There were a number of important points about mechanics and durability that you mentioned that I’ve overlooked so thanks for pointing them out! Love your reviews!

Thank you so much! I was looking forward to this because I considered this, and I'm glad that I didnt get it. I could totally tell (thanks to you teaching me) that the brake system and fold mechanism was complex, which in turn can cause problems!

wow! your stroller videos are really exceptional in knowledge and well written. I don't usually comment, but it's pretty impressive, and appreciated in a field where there are too many options. thank you! I will subscribe to the patreon you posted.

We ALMOST bought this one but decided on the BabyJogger GT2 instead because it has bassinet and carseat capability and it’s still ALL-terrain and holds up really well and has a high weight limit💯

Hi. We live in Toronto and winters are harsh. Just received the package and I'm wondering how this stroller works with foot muffs since the folding mechanism is under the seat. Do I need to remove it every time before folding the stroller or is there a access somehow?

I'm so glad you didn't like it lol I almost got it because it was on sale but I hesitated because you haven't uploaded a review of it yet. When I saw your unboxing I thought to my self is it flimsy or what? I ended up buying a City Elite :D

How do the mechanics compare with their Urban Glide 2? Would that be a better option in terms of longevity and durability?

Hi everybody, There's been a lot of talk lately about 'Greenwashing,' which is the process by which businesses promote their products as 'sustainable', 'eco-friendly' and so on, while in actual fact, their manufacturing processes and business models clearly show this to be nothing more than a marketing ploy. As soon as I heard about this concept (and even that several major companies have been penalized for it), I realized that this practice really defines the approach of virtually every major manufacturer in the stroller industry. If you'd be interested in reading more about this, please check out our article: 'Rampant Greenwashing in the Stroller Industry,' here: www.patreon.com/posts/rampant-in-38755846

Would you recommend this for a quick everyday usage though? Like 2 year old school drop offs, about 10 min walk in sidewalks. Or is the butterfly bugaboo better?

Hi! I bought the Spring in February and I must admit I absolutely love it. I've had so many pushchairs and this really seems to be the one to end them all! I was aware before I got it that the mechanisms were quite complex, but I wanted a three wheeler for the city in the end I chose this over the Baby Jogger City Elite or GT2 because I think Thule uses better quality materials and they look better. Plus I love how the handlebar extends (great for buses), the huge canopy (really amazing) and the huge and accessible shopping basket (couldn't live without). I guess only time will tell how well it lasts. It is now our only pushchair but we are only using it in the city. For me the main downside is the environmental factor if it doesn't last and can't be fixed. We will only need it for the length of the guarantee (3 years), but I'd hope to be able to pass it on after that. Anyway, thanks for the great video 🙂

Katie Huchler i agree with you about the Spring looking much nicer than the City Mini strollers and I also love how the handlebar works on the Spring but I ended up getting the City Elite :D I had the GT before but sold it because it's ugly lol
@sumairadaud
@sumairadaud 4 года назад
It's all personal preference. I originally bought an elite, but found it too cumbersome so without using it outside I returned it and bought a GT for the second time. Totally satisfied with it. The Elite is nice too, I just felt for me it was too big.
@katsoutofthebox
@katsoutofthebox 4 года назад
sdagf2013 oh yeah the Elite is HUGE! When I had the GT I was kinda wishing for a stroller that is about 10% smaller and lighter but performs the same and since there is no such stroller and I couldn't find a GT in a color I like I ended up buying the Elite and I am in love 😍
@sumairadaud
@sumairadaud 4 года назад
@@katsoutofthebox Honestly when I bought my first GT in 2012, I hated the fabric and colors too. That's why I was aiming for an Elite. But then I came across the Charcoal color on the GT, that is beautiful! It's a dark grey Jean fabric...really love it. At the moment I'm using just the frame and bassinet, removed the seat. Once my daughter outgrows the bassinet I'll reattach the seat

Katie, did you attach an infant car seat to the Thule? I've read conflicting information about whether the stroller folds when the adapter is attached. Thanks!

Does the existence of a $15 detachable crossbar that connects the two rear wheels (Thule sells it as a "glider board adapter") change your mind about this stroller at all? It seems to provide an option to use a crossbar for structural reinforcement when desired.
@BarnevognverkstedNo
@BarnevognverkstedNo 4 года назад
Yes, I was thinking about this as well when I saw the adapter. If you use it for structural support, it should definitely help with longevity.

Dude, do you like any prams? 🤣 great critique but watching your reviews, I’d not end up getting any as they all have issues. Please would you recommend your favourite?
@BarnevognverkstedNo
@BarnevognverkstedNo 3 года назад
It may feel that way, but we do give a general opinion of whether each model is worth buying at the end of each review :) I have to list the problems, as this is where our knowledge-base is (we run a repair-shop), and explaining the problem-areas on good strollers is meant to help potential buyers look out for them and mitigate them (when possible). If you're looking for a stroller that is completely without problems, well that's the Unicorn, my friend - it doesn't exist (not that there aren't models out there with generally 10+ year longevity, if treated right). As far as favorites go, that's all I have to sell (since we don't play the affiliate / product-endorsement game like most channels), so it's either a matter of just watching a lot of our reviews and picking what you like, or forking out 5 bucks for our buyer's guide of approved models on Patreon (around 30, at this point). But, before you do, I'll give it to you straight - the Unicorn isn't there, every model has, at least, some weak points. :)

Thanks for the honest response, it’s so frustrating trying to buy your first stroller, if I had any hair left, I wouldn’t have any after having our first baby. Just concerned that the ones you recommend are so heavy and my wife is tiny, so won’t be able to lift it into the car 😩

No, unfortunately. For parent-facing 3-wheelers, you should look at Mountain Buggy or TFK. :)

I can’t get past your pronunciation of Thule. It’s supposed to be said “too-lee” :) Also worth adding, the company initially made bikes before stollers; that’s how they made their name.
