When Ruby realized her sis was in love with Blake lol

The fact that when Ruby passes the waterfall her reflection is Summer. We’re getting so much Summer bits and pieces! We have to actually get a huge Summer thing in the last four episodes, right? That little musical cue from the last scene of V8 when Weiss is looking at Atlas falling. Lewis seems to be a reference to the author of Alice in Wonderland, Lewis Carroll. “I couldn’t even be the make believe hero.” Yikes. Been waiting years for this moment. Even a week later, I’m still reeling and crying from the confession. I’m still so giddy and happy every time I think about it or watch this scene and it’s crazy that we’re finally here. These two have been through so much and it’s just… this confession was so sweet and wonderful. Eric Reacts put it best I think: “They found their happiness in Ever After.” You probably know this by now, but the song playing during the confession is called Worthy and Casey said it’s a BMBLB pt 2. The wins keep coming. Ruby not wanting to take Crescent Rose back is definitely a metaphor for Ruby denying herself. After Ruby said in V1 that weapons were an extension of them. There’s also a neat parallel with Yang when Tai presented her with her new prosthetic and Yang didn’t want/wasn’t ready for it at first.

That was pretty much my reaction after 10 years of build up.

That last line by Jaune is so ominous about someone being traded to the tree to get home.

After seeing this episode it makes you notice things like when Yang says I think your cat ears are cute, it makes you realize back in Volume 1 she was completely unfazed by finding out Blake was a Faunus and even stood up for her.

RWBY the series I think firmly fits in the entertainment category of Tearjerker 😢they will make you cry with Everything from Excitement, to Sorrow, to Hype and love, and pure tragedy….this series is by far one of the best ever written….❤

This confession was the thing that got me back into this show. I'd been watching week to week from near the end of V2 through V4, but 2016-17 was a pretty rough transition in my life and I kind of just forgot about it. But I saw a clip of that scene, and I knew I had to catch back up. Bumbleby wasn't even something I was consciously aware that I was pulling for, I don't think, until I saw it, but even my first reaction was "About fucking time" lol. It was beautiful and perfect, and the whole dynamic between these characters has been heading for this since the beginning. I really do love when a slowburn is pulled off so well.

The amount of people who had meltdowns over this episode amused me. All the Blake and Yang haters and the bigots all came out to voice their unwanted opinions about how this show was ruined forever now. All I can say is, those people are blind as hell not to have seen Yang and Blake have been a couple for a long while now.

10 years....10 years some of us have been waiting~!! I watched the scene multiple times and it still brings me to tears. I could not have asked for anything better. HAPPY BUMBLEBYS BUZZING~!!!

I think the mirrors in the ponderstorm show regrets, or hard truths. The ones that you don't or can't confront or face. The parts of you that you can't bare to see. Ruby doesn't see that her reflection is actually her mother. There has been so many allusions to Summer Rose this season, there's probably some big secret or something we're missing about her that Ruby is ignorant of or has forgotten as possibly some kind of trauma response. Like someone who convinces themselves a deceased loved one is still alive. Which is why she doesn't see it. Weiss is actually confronting it. She gets in a small argument with Blake because Weiss is trying to acknowledge that their actions directly lead to the destruction of Atlas and Mantel. So when the mirror shows her that event she stops and looks into the mirror, confronting it. Jaune, Jaune avoids looking. He catches glimpses. First Penny who he likely feels like he murdered. He's had years of solitude but how do you even begin to move on or process that. Then the reflection changes to his younger self. Specifically Banana hair Jaune. The Jaune that was a true huntsman, Grimm slayer, looked up to by the children of Mantel as a hero (and lusted after by their mothers). He was the closest he ever came to being the Hero he always wanted to be. And then... He was forced to kill a friend, helped destroy a kingdom, likely did the heavy lifting in the planning phase (the strategist). And now he's the Rusted Knight, a hero in one of the world's most beloved fairy tales. And he knows that it's a lie. He lived the events and knows, Alyx lied. Damn I'm sad now. If Jaune dies, sacrifices himself so the others can get home... I don't know... He's my favorite character, has been since before initiation, it'll be hard to keep watching. I want my boy to make it back, hopefully young again, and finally get to LIVE while knowing he's the hero he wanted to be. Also I called the cat being shady and the connection to the Tree.

Also the Bees deserve their own comment because my freaking gosh, that was beautiful, I adored what a gloriously triumphant and loving moment this was, just between them, no baggage, no trauma, or tension, just them. The artistry on display was incredible and the VA's slayed my heart and brought it back again, I love "You do what you say", cos it means so much to Blake that Yang is someone honest with her when she's spent so long being gaslight. And Yang's nervousness, her uncertainty were pitch perfect. And the final confession, the blooming lilies, just, everything, aaaaaaah! I love it. People were making jokes about this being the only dramatic setting worthy of a first kiss between the Bees and they were right!

When ya think about it yeah its been 10 years in the making with BMBLB but in RWBY time its only been roughly 2 years for them to get together :) its hard to admit to yourself that you love the same sex when your not sure what you, yourself are, so i understand Yang and Blakes hesitation, as a gay man myself its really not as easy as some to admit their true feelings. xxxx

I’m so glad that you enjoyed the bee kiss that much. 2) I knew I was going to cry when the bees confessed/kissed but I ended up sobbing. I had to take a break and come down even. I know some may say my reaction it’s dramatic but I don’t. As a young teen I didn’t anything about the LGBTQ+ community. All I knew was what gay meant which according to my parents was a bad thing and a sin. Well one day I came across RWBY and fell in love with it. It around v2. Of course I wanted cool fan art and that’s when I stumbled upon a bumbleby drawing. It was the first time I’d ever seen two girls kiss. It made me feel funny like that’s something i wanted for myself. That one picture started me down a path to find my identity. Now 8ish years later I’m a 23 year old lesbian who is over joyed to see the thing that started it all finally happen on screen.

Incredible reaction! I personally think Jaune is also unreliable, he doesn't actually know what happened at the tree he's just assuming and so far this volume has focused heavily on unreliable narrators. The fact he also seems to be embodying elements of many of the failed older generation in his behavior makes me think that while he's not being deliberately deceptive, he's letting his trauma and presumptions lead him down the wrong path.
