What a fantastic chapter with great use of narrative symmetry. Back during Volume 2 Monty talked about the symbolism of the Pumpkin Pete hoodie, and like the White Rabbit, Jaune took a watch and went back in time. It’s really apropos for Blake to receive a fairy tale confession since she arrived at Beacon with a jaded “unfortunately, the real world isn’t the same as a fairy tale" philosophy.

Best part of this? Blake and Yang were planned to end up together from the very beginning! Poor Barbara and Arryn had to keep it a secret for 10 years!

I'm not sure if you guys remember but another fantastic detail is that the opening song of Volume 7 also foreshadowed RWBY coming here, even mentioning the Ever After by name. As well as Blake and Yang not knowing where to turn to on the bridge and realising they had to tell the truth I'll put the lyrics to the OP Trust Love below in the replies:

Another sublime detail is the 9 bridge plates which both of them stood on, symbolising the steps they’ve taken across their journey these 9 Volumes.

I could hear the joyful screams of all the shipper when it happened. Also, when I first heard Punder storm I imagined seeing lightning in the background but instead of hearing thunder we would hear Barbara's puns.

God that Blake and Yang moment was just such perfection, the music the visuals the emotion...was a a highlight of the series for sure.

So the story i think said "The knight took the poison in her stead" i think this means that what was written was that Jaune was supposed to save Alyx from the poison but the truth was that Alyx was the poisoner so it caught him off guard

The callbacks this Volume is so satisfying, like the ones in this Chapter to Blake and Yang’s first meeting back in Volume 1 are splendid. Honest to god I think Alyx actually had a change of heart in the Tree, sacrificed herself to save Lewis. Lewis wrote the books and just left himself out of it and tried to make the story more about his sister to remember her fondly. And then Alyx ascended and became Little. Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in Wonderland, plus the drawing of Alyx and the Cat rom the opening looks like it’d have been drawn from someone’s perspective. Her brother had a journal on him in the flashbacks. One of my friends did point out that there IS potential that Lewis turned out to be the actual evil sibling and betrayed Alyx but I'm not so sure. Or that Alyx stole the journal. But I’m pretty confident in my theory that she turned good at the last second and sacrificed herself to save Lewis. He’s definitely the actual writer any way it goes though. Also Lewis Carroll based his story on Alice Liddel (Little)

Fact 2: This is the third episode to have a photosensitive warning, the others being "Ultimatum" and "Worthy". Fact 3: The episode's title refers to the Punderstorm as well as Blake and Yang confessing each other's romantic feelings. Fact 4: This episode aired on the same day as the WonderCon premiere of Justice League x RWBY: Super Heroes and Huntsmen, Part One. Fact 5: The first scene of the episode is a callback to the way "A Place of Particular Concern" began, this time in Jaune's perspective instead of Ruby's. Fact 6: The score when Weiss looks at Atlas falling is a direct callback to The Final Word Part II. Fact 7: When time rewinds for Jaune, several comets can be seen moving backwards across the sky, showing that he was actually the last one to arrive in Ever After rather than the first. Fact 8: While walking past floating water, Ruby's reflection is actually Summer Rose. Summer's hair is stylized in a rose shaped bun.

Writer and voice of Neptune, Kerry, has confirmed Jaune has been there for 10-20 years (corrected by @G1Fan). Time is truncated in Ever After. Jaune didn’t know he was going to be poisoned. The story that was written painted Alyx as a better person than she appeared to be to Jaune. Alyx and Lewis lived hundreds if not thousands of years ago. Their story may have crossed with Ozma’s but no one else we know.

Fun fact: the author of Alice in Wonderland was Lewis Carroll. With that in mind, do you think Alyx made it back and wrote a biased account of her adventures, or did Lewis make it back and rewrite the story to make his sister look better? Something to ponder.

A great detail in this episode were the beams of light that shot in the sky when time reversed. Those four lights were Ruby, Weiss, Yang and Blake

Bruh why's that dude always talking about sex and stuff. A super sweet romantic scene, and can't eenjoy it cause red's crackin weird jokes

I think with Jaune drinking the poison he didn't know it was poisoned...it would have been one of the details omitted from the story Alice wrote in the end so jaune wouldn't have known.😁

The point is that the story Alyx put out there wasn't true, way more than what she says happened. Jaune was following the story the way it was told by Alyx. Also, doesn't Yang's arm come with a vibrating function, for devastating attacks?

according to the rwby fandom, jaune has been there, waiting for people to fall, for 10-20 years. Dude was a young man, and now he is full grown. Also 22:09 Alex was supposed to drink the poison, not the Knight. She poisoned him, cause she lost all trust in him and wanted to get home no matter the cost.

It's not hard logic. In history class you read that something major happened during world war 2. Then somehow you get transported back in time & you start realize that you were the one who caused that major event in World War 2. So, you read about yourself in History class, because your future is the past.

Huh, it’s quite interesting to see Bumblebee finally be Canon, I honestly thought it never would happen. However, i still wonder if it really had to take this long though.

Well, I already saw it coming that in the end those two will end up together although I never wanted to believe it and I prefer to erase it from my mind and if I could I would eliminate it from everywhere, from everyone's mind but anyway, The only thing left to do is make fanfics and stories where you can change all the sinful ships to hetero ships and straight self-shipping.

Everyone just forgot about Black Sun.

I thought the Bumbleby scene was awful. The writers ground the progression of the story to a halt to put Blake and Yang in a plot device that is never seen before (or again) and forced them to tell (instead of show) multiple seasons worth of relationship development in 5 minutes. And in the most corny, on the nose, "I know writers who use subtext and they're all cowards" metaphor imaginable, too. I do not believe Bumbleby was the plan from the start because there's no way the writers could have fumbled something that was in the works for this long, this hard. They did a better job building Qrow/Clover, a pairing that wasn't canon and was never meant to be canon, in 1 volume than they did with Blake and Yang for the better part of a decade.
