Dort and the thunder are a bit of a dirty team. Then on top of that , Dort (the most solid guy on the court) always goes flying at the least bit of contact on him. Too much time around Shai I guess.

@@donalddarko9636Because In the first game they had 22 until the game was out of reach in the 3rd quarter then the refs tried to make up for it. The last game was called mainly fair. Then this game, until y’all purposely hacked lively 6000 times, you were getting the important calls in spite of playing like the Detroit pistons. For every Dort call, there should have been 3.

Dort didnt figure out anything about Luka. He is just allowed to foul him 6 times in every posession while you cant even touch Shai on the other side. Not to mention all the pushoffs and elbows that Luka would get called for an offensive foul. The difference in the whistle is just pahtetic. And what bothers me is that everyone knows it and nobody in the media mentions it

Haters are using Luka's injury to take a delusional victory lap as if all of a sudden teams figured Luka out. Not even the Clippers with Kawhi (right after the ring and he was healthy against the Mavs), PG, Batum, Morris against a 21 years old Luka were able to lock him down, now entering his prime teams are locking him up? C'mon now...

Jason please just admit the blatant disparity in the way Shai is officiated and the way Luka is. I know it's sacrilegious for you to suggest the officials aren't just making "honest mistakes", but the difference is obvious to anyone with eyes. Shai literally got 2 fts for a weak body bump by PJ with 2 minutes left! It's gotten better as the series has gone on, but Shai still gets ticky tack foul calls while Luke gets fouled 3 times a possession and has no call to show for it.

I wonder if Kidd shouldn’t try sitting him for the next game and seeing if Kyrie could get them through. He could always bring him in if it’s going bad. A healthier Luka for game 5 might be better than a 50% Luka for two games.

@@SDesWriter It’s a tough decision. Luka said if he can walk, he will play and I don’t think Kidd can prevent him from doing that. Having both Luka and Kai on the floor results into wide open shots for their teammates. It it was Kai, OKC can plan ahead and rotate on the D much better. I guess they may give Luka more frequent breaks/sub out (if team is up). Really hoping they can take game 4 as well.

Don't be so blind to believe that it was just the refs acting on their own. They were simply the fall guys for the NBA hq. League is consistently trying to nudge the outcomes of playoffs in the direction they want. I've studied basketball as a coach and as an analyst for 10 years, I can see it. Several other qualified guys with years of coaching and high level competition experience who are on RU-vid can see it. It isn't as simple as "you don't know basketball". I do think there's room for argument on the topic, it's just not as easy as being so dismissive to say "you don't know ball"

Not a Mavs or OKC fan here. I don't really think Dort figured Luka out, maybe he figured this compromised version of Luka out, but not a healthy Luka. What do you think about them going after someone like DFS from the Nets? I know many guys are hurt/injured at this point of the season but do you think the Mavs would have been favored to win the west had Luka not had a sprained knee? I believe that this season will ultimately go down as a ‘what if’ for the Mavs. The fact that they can win a series (or 2) with this reduced version of Luka tells me that, with a healthy Luka, they would have had a great chance of hoisting the trophy in June.

Give the guy a break, you can see that he's trying to break into broadcast television. How far do you think he'll get if admits the refs play favorites or that the Lakers aren't really contenders. I was irritated with it too, until i saw him with Colin Cowherd. He's just playing the game to advance his career. I can respect that. People who don't know ball cry about whistles. If you're the better team you should be able to adjust to the pressure and if you let the game get close you got no one to blame but yourself. So sick of hearing people cry about whistles this post season. No referee is giving you 16 offensive rebounds or putting you up 37 or anything else. Stop fixating on singular moments and look at the game as a whole. Like looking at the Mona Lisa and complaining about a tiny piece of paint chipped off I'm the corner. Not all whistles are the same. 2 quick whistles on a player in the 1st quarter usually puts that player on the bench, takes away his aggressiveness and rhythm. And people aren't complaining about the difference in officiating from game to game. They are complaining about the difference in officiating from team to team within a game. It's obvious the game plan of OKC is to rough up Luka, yet SGA's defender get the touch foul calls on them.

Will SGA's 'consistency' be enough in a playoff setting? It's great to have a high floor but he has to find a higher ceiling to succeed in the post season imo... Only first playoffs though, lots of basketball left to play for him

@@baseebirdSga doesn’t have the athletic or physical profile with the explosive 3pt shooting to have a higher ceiling than a lot of other superstars. Tatum for example doesn’t have the conistent floor Sga does but his ceiling or him at his best is alot higher.

3 things I took away from this game: 1) man, is Luka on a Joel Embiid trajectory with his body problems?! 🙊 2) PJ Washington has become that 3rd guy for the Mavs 😮 3) SGA draws more contact than Harden at his peak which is wild to me! 😅❤

I genuinely wonder if Luka didn’t complain so much (usually he has point cuz he’s fouled almost every possession) he would have more respect from the refs. They are disrespecting the hell out him considering what he’s accomplished thus far. Getting absolutely mugged with no calls. Meanwhile SGA pushing off, foul baiting and getting every call.

Bro OKC didn't have the game under control even up 10.. Luka isn't playing well and they play better without him at times as they push the pace and luka gets blown by on the perimeter hurts them big time unless he's efficient.. Dort plays physical but does get away with alot of fouls tbf.. Overall good playoff game another close game one hold tight Lively🔥. Good content and Kyrie was clutch

although you credit Kyrie I think you still lack some respect. Luka is amazing and does it all, but as far as shot creation Kyrie is second to none. He’s already done these things at the highest level against Iggy, Prime Klay, Livingston, Draymond, KD, etc
