My grandad is actually John (Bosco) Bostick, he’s #05. He has this video on a DVD, he showed this to me last summer, really cool. Whenever I visit the hanger, he’ll take me for a ride in one of his airplanes.
When Peoria was selected to get F-16s, my dad brought back a VHS compilation tape he got from General Dynamics. This was the highlight of the tape for me and following this segment was the “F-16 Night Moves.” No video in the world could ever compete.
This video gives me goosebumps all the time and I can’t count on both hands how many times I have watched this program that also includes the blue angels
What an honor to provide security overnight in a hanger at Kirtland AFB in 1987. then crowd control after the open house. I wish I had the pictures taken that night.
Thank-you JVEE for providing security to our jets while we rested. It's a tough life on the Team with no set work hours. We work until the job is done and when we do bed down our minds are always on the safety of our jets. Thanks to you, we maybe got a couple hours of peaceful sleep. I hope, a least, you had the opportunity to see the air show!
Taking me back when we grew up at Nellis due to my dad being in the Thunderbirds at that time. During Christmas they would have Santa Claus taxi down the runway into the hangar where we would be waiting for him to come out of the 2 seater Thunderbird. As a kid we all thought our dads knew were the north pole was since we would see him come out of the F-16 with his big red bag hanging on the wing. The thing parents do to make their kids happy.
I've seen all teams, you name one, and Thunderbirds are still the most exciting to watch, russian knights aren't even close to as exciting as the Tbirds, theyre closer to the blues if yu ask me
@BringEllisTheHoriZon F-4 is cool, one of my favorites too. I have never seen an Su and would love to see one. But you lost me with the "that's not so much of an opinion" statement though.
@BringEllisTheHoriZon I tend to believe that the 2 teams that each have over 50 years of performing history under their belts and don't fly trainers(ie.easier to fly planes) are the best. But I guess I'm in the minority :) But hey... we both like the F-4! Cheers
