I agree, Yelena and Bucky will be front and center, sorta the new Cap and Widow duo. I want a really gritty and action packed film, similar to The Winter Soldier, but darker.
I will be PISSED if they kill Bucky in Thunderbolts. Sebastian Stan may be done with the role but the character still deserves a big send off. He deserves his moment in the sun with all the character watching and grieving along with the audience.
I’m still very confused by Bucky being on this team of villains and assassins… like yeah, technically he was but that also was not Bucky at all! When he is Bucky, he is just a hero, plain and simple. (A sad and traumatized hero, but a hero nonetheless.) I love the White Wolf undercover theory!
Bucky would be the perfect poster child for "rehabilitated villain" to the public eye... even though half of the Thunderbolts lineup was brainwashed when they were doing dirty deeds (Bucky, Yelena, and Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster). Certainly couldn't have US Agent leading things, not after he Kingpin'd a Flagsmasher's chest with the Captain America shield...Bucky plays better as sincerely regretful and looking to repent by helping to shepherd the other "lost sheep" to heroic deeds.
Why does someone have to die? The team being made up of villains is where the similarities to Suicide Squad ends. Task Force X is inherently designed to have its members die. Thunderbolts is meant to rehabilitate the public image of these villains into heroes.
@@WackyChu True but not frequently from the main team. Although, the ensemble crossover nature of this one does make a major death more likely. Maybe small odds of a Civil War fakeout into a serious injury?
The fact that they didn’t end the show with Captain America and The White Wolf still frustrates me… his whole arc in the show was accepting that he was “no longer the Winter Soldier” - give the poor man a new name!
I’d like to see an in world documentary by Jon Jamison, describing to us the audience, about what we need to know about the blip. It would be a fun Disney + special
I think if Bucky dies in this movie it'll feel a lot like Maria Hill dying in Secret Invasion he deserves something with more meaning than all these new characters he still has more to do with Sam and being the white wolf
@@imdonnalynn Charles Murphy and DanielRPK who usually brings up exclusives about marvel universe said his role his not what we were lead to believe or want. The other said Bucky is 6th most important character in the movie after 1st Yelena, 2nd Sentry, 3rd Val, 4th Ghost and Taskmaster, 5th US Agent and 7th is Red Guardian.
Brandon's dune rant at the end is the most hilarious thing i have witnessed in quite a long while thank you!! "i dont understand, if its a Still Suit then why are they movin around so much" 🤣🤣🤣
Please make Steven yun Amadeus Cho please he would be so funny and could play the 6th smartest person in marvel comics very well. And a hulked up steven yun would be sick
The existential horror of having been blipped would be overwhelming. Sure, you didn't live through those 5 years of societal trauma, but you literally blinked and 5 YEARS passed. How would you be able to function knowing that at any moment, you could once again just be gone? How would you ever truly sleep again? Or even just close your eyes to rest?
I think it would do Bucky a huge disservice to kill him off without addressing the issues with Steve that were touched on in falcon. Steve spend several movies fighting for Bucky and then abandoned him and his messed up brain in the future. As far as we know, Steve also didn’t do anything to free Bucky in the past. I liked that they touched on the mental health issues bucky would face in falcon but there’s more work to be done there. I hope they don’t kill him off before he’s been given more of a concrete ending himself. Not saying they couldn’t do that in this movie… just hoping they do him Justice.
DAVE BAUTISTA WOULD BE GREAT AS WILD CAT!!! A withered older heavy weight champ boxer who gains powers late in life…THAT IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT FOR HIM!! People are saying they want him as Bane but I’m not sure it would work 100%.
it would be such a disservice to bucky's character to have him go through all that work and personal growth only to die or sacrifice himself for the lowercase v "villains" team. at least give him the courtesy of putting him in a few movies with the newer version of whatever the avengers will be.
Feige confirmed that bucky is the defacto leader of the team...now i dont know if he will be keeping his world but that is what he said...seb has another 4 movies in his contract
So excited to see Julia Louis Dreyfous finally get more than just 1 scene in random projects. It doesn't surprise me if Bucky isn't as centre-stage as other characters because why would Bucky help Val to try steal vibranium and/or attack Wakanda? Now it makes sense. I hope we see Bill Foster as Goliath and I hope some of the other characters get a bit more of a story. It'll be very confusing for general audiences NOT to think that the team comes from Thunderbolt Ross' name... also, would make sense if Red Hulk did appear even in a cameo speaking to Val, for example. I hope Val becomes much more important in the future of the MCU and this isn't just a one and done for the character because it would be a waste of all the random scenes in different projects that builds upto the film.
To be clear, the *Blip* is only a term used retroactively. Everyone thought it just was. So, being blipped is the way to go. Also, if you want this to be a real movie with real stakes... Bucky has got to go. Only death in the film. Give him his moment, don't have him mixed with other chaos. That's my thinking
I have been livid with the MCU for years. The ONLY reason I am still around is because of Bucky, if he dies, I am out. From what I have heard many others feel the same, and I mean MANY.
Trish Walker/Hellcat is a prime candidate for the Thunderbolts now that Daredevil and Jessica Jones are canon. Trish is a trigger happy anti-hero supersoldier that was sent to The Raft at the end of Jessica Jones S3.
Red guardian is my best bet. I'm on the fence about Ghost and Taskmaster, I can't see Marvel having any plans for them in the future and I kind of hope they will kill off Taskmaster so they can introduce Tony Masters and give us a proper adaptation.
I’d love to see bucky as a reluctant leader of the team. Have him be brought in to help rehabilitate the rest of the villains. Bucky could go through his past with the team and the steps he took to rehabilitate himself as a hero after being a villain for so long. You can see a more personal side of Bucky as he deals with his own past trauma and how he helps the rest of the team with theirs. Send the team on a mission and have Bucky have to control the team like a bunch of angry dogs on a leash wanting to snap at every turn. You could end it with bucky having somewhat reformed the team and him accepting his history for what it is.
I would rather not be blipped bc when you come back your whole existence has changed. Your home most likely isn't yours anymore, your car, your job, your clothes and other belongings. That was essentially the main theme of TFATWS. It was literally what the Flag-Smashers were fighting for! These people that do come back, a lot of times come back to nothing or no one. That's why i appreciated that series even though many people don't like it, i understand what they were trying to get across to the audience about the post-blip as a political narrative. Also, even if you had family that didn't get blipped, WandaVision explored what could happen with that as well with Maria dying while Monica was blipped. They don't get to come back bc they actually just died... Edit: I wrote all this, then watched literally a minute more only to see they finally realized everything i just wrote. 🤣🤣🤣
@17:13. This had to be the most a** backwards way I have ever seen anyone implement the six degrees of kevin bacon to connect sebastian stan with kevin bacon lol.... Especially considering that Kevin Bacon appeared in the guardians of the Galaxy holiday special!!! Lol, jk, i know it was a simple slip up
I’m sure red guardian dies, Taskmaster dies, I don’t know if ghost stays on the team but if so I don’t see her being in any other marvel projects after this idek what they gonna do with U.S Agent I feel Bucky has more story to tell if they kill him that would be dumb. Although I think the young avengers payoff is way too late now I think that gives yelana a purpose.i also think thunderbolts makes no sense without thunderbolt Ross in the movie somehow but we will see my real question is how something like thunderbolts, and Captain America 4 relate to Deadpool I can see how fantastic 4 does but I’m confused on everything else relating
i figured yalena and natasha wouldnt have had normal childhoods so i cant believe she played soccer as a kid also i thought everyone knows about the mutant island in the comics.
Henry Cavill would be dope as Cap Britain or Hyperion !! If not wolverine would be cool after watching the Witcher it had wolvy vibes. Hugh is tall so the height thing isnt of matter. Cap britain deals with multiverse so that makes way more sense or since he plays superman so well give us Hyperion marvels superman and give us thor and hyperion buddy film in space.
Ghost (she dosent have futur in the mcu since antman and the wasp)and Red guardien sacrifiace him self for yelena , i hoped we could see a reunion of winter guard ex soviet team befor he dies and taskmaster since the live action adaption charachter isnt really done well or that much popular with fans (hope the actor get some good lines since her charachter is like a zombie and been waste of potential )
this movie has to be R-RATED right??? honestly I think the most obvious plot of this movie and brave new world is the weapons plus program...and now that Dr. Nagel is dead i think mainly Ross and Val are trying to revive and mainstream it and i think this is a response to the events of secret invasion and wakanda forever, there are new threats showing up like the Skrulls and Talokan and honestly after civil war I think Ross might want to make their own enhanced Army that they can control...the Thunderbolts team might just be Mk1 of The Dark Avengers...I also don't think it's coincidence that we getting born again, brave new world and thunderbolts consecutively...cause we going to get characters like Red Hulk, Songbird, Bullseye, John Walker and Taskmaster and some time in 2026 Justin hammer will show up in Armor Wars and all of these characters are the darker alternate versions of the avengers, Val is also their Nick Fury...and these guys are either easy to manipulate or just down right evil which is why I think this has a lot to do with the plot of Thunderbolts...I think at some point in the movie Bucky figures out they want to Capture sentry to use him for the weapons program...he tells Yelena and Red Guardian...maybe they tell the rest of the team, John and Taskmaster side with Val... I mean Johns' loyalty is to Val and probably hates Bucky, Antonia might want to listen to Yelena but she never really had her own life so she's easy to Manipulate maybe val figures out how to control her mind again...Ghost not unlike Yelena or Bucky has been used as a weapon before so her and red guardian might be the only ones who takes their side...I think Bucky might call on Zemo one last time cause I mean this is right in his ballpark maybe we even get another famous Jailbreak sequence from Bucky...they find Sentry and convince him they trying to Help...the remaining thunderbolts find them and lose, this prompts Val to bring out one of her Projects and it's songbird, the big fight happens and they end up losing real bad, Echo could possibly die but I doubt it I think the big death is Red Guardian dying to save Yelena...while the fight closes in and all hope is lost and Sentry is getting his ass handed to him by Songbird he calls upon void and changes the tide of the fight, he beats songbird within a inch of her life giving the rest of the guys time to get away...the aftermath of everything might just be a few scenes showing the next chapters in their lives...Val could could be telling Ross and Wilson Fisk that the thunderbolts idea clearly did not work, they need their own Avengers team and Kingpin is going to make it work...Yelena will want revenge so maybe she followed Val to Kingpin and ran into The Punisher setting up the new defenders, Bucky might be on the run and a wakandan ship shows up he thinks he might be in trouble they tell him the king wants to speak to him it cuts to him walking with Mbaku and says he needs to show him something camera pans to a white wolf helmet mbaku says wakanda needs another defender...Zemo is getting into a Jet his butler asks him where to and he says Madripoor, post credit scene is Val is talking to Justin Hammer says she's setting up her own avengers team and she needs a iron-man setting up armor wars...second post credit scene is sentry in space he runs into someone maybe blue marvel or Ares...the words Sentry will return pops up and that's that...
I feel like they’ll kill Bucky because they haven’t treated the character well anyway. And Stan’s ridiculous contract must be over by now. They no-homo’d him and Steve so hard, they’ll do the same with Bucky and Sam.
i think bucky wouldnt as hed be sams rodey pretty much. Tony has rodey, sam has bucky, bucky could be an ambassador for wakanda and speak on their behalf to sam as cap
The Thunderbolts, an MCU parody of The Suicide Squad, No Thank You.! If a member or members of The Thunderbolts must die then, Ghost and Taskmaster are the main candidates. Neither are memorable as villains and won't be missed, but neither should be used as cannon fodder. Bucky Barnes and Red Guardian, Alexei Shostakov can die, but only in Secret Wars. Do not under any circumstances kill Yelena Belova or U.S. Agent John Walker.
