Super 7 is doing an amazing job with the sculps of their thundercats line. Even some of the smaller 3.5” characters look really well painted and the card art is sick, and so I bought the ones I like. I’ve been reluctant to get involved with the ultimates line mainly because of price point. It looks like you are all in, congratulations.
Thanks it was a very hard collection to acquire and there are several pieces missing. I am having more fun with the Super 7 Ultimates more bang for buck
Not easy to collect is right I have a good amount of vintage thunder cats collection not quite everything pretty close but I had to rebuy what I lost when I was a kid I had a big amount but I lost it as I rebougjt what I lost it took me 20 years for real thunder cats are not easy to find luckily a store called Toy Vault in the malls was a big help to me I got a lot of retro thunder cats including super 7 I'm loaded now not as much as you Tydiroum hanger awesome collection by the way 👍 but in time I'll have all been a thunder cat 😺 fan all my life sine new in the 80s
I had Lion-O w/ (Snarf,) Tigra w/ (Wilykat), and Mumra (Mum-mutt) as a kid. I still have them all (minus accessories) except Mumra w/ (Mum-mutt). I was very much into Thundercats as a kid in the 80s along with Transformers. The Thundercats tv series very much still hold up and doesn't have continuity issues from episode to episode like other shows of the 80s. I am not really an original toy collector but I am really getting into the Super7 line and even have the Thundertank on pre-order. I hope Super7 does Cat's Liar and the mutant vehicles in the future. Nice Collection though. Also cool thing about the original Mutants you could probably add them in with the Super7 collection as the generic Mutant troops
Yes the Show has held up and Super 7 figures look great! I do think they will be limited with which vehicles they make at the $200 price point so good that the vintage ones are still readily available for ok prices
It's not a hell of a lot of figures, but with the size being a lot bigger than 3.75" and the cost at the time, its no wonder I only got the core handful of figures.
Repro weapons are a controversial topic. You mentioned the money issue, however; In my opinion as a completist, patience is key. I prefer original pieces, by buying repro’s you’re only lying to yourself. It’s about the journey not the destination, but to each it’s own.
In some cases, I'd rather have a reproduction accessory. An example would be the night stick for the LJN Big Boss Man WWF figure. His night stick alone goes for hundreds of dollars. That's just a ripoff for a tiny piece of plastic. To each his own, but some accessories just aren't worth paying that much money for.
Young Tygra was their first attempt at the figure. LJN wasn’t happy with it so it was redesigned to the Old Tygra. They were not based on the time episode.
I think, Thundercats never moved over to Germany back in the day. The He-Man cartoon only showed when the craze was almost over in 88 but Thundercats I only remember running early in the 90s. And the name changes ...
I had some of the ThunderCats toys as a child. I had the red Lion-O that came with snarf. My brother had the orange Lion-o. I had the tigera that came with Wiley kat statue thing. My brother had the cheetara that came with Wiley kit statue thing. My brother had pantro. I had the Thunder tank he had monkeyen, Jackyl man, and vulture man. My brother had mumra the ever living. We shared the mail away mumy mumra. I had a cat's layer but it wasn't for the big figures it was for the small ones. And I had a lot of generic sword of Omens. Never got the official one that Lit Up. I think the orange Lion-o was the first run. But I'm not sure
Yeah we shared a lot of our toys when we were younger, he-man's, silverhawks, ThunderCats, Star Wars, Transformers, Ninja Turtles was the last line I think we shared. After that I became my own collector. It sucks that I hardly have anything from my childhood still. I've rebought things, but there's very few things that I still have for my childhood, I still have a squishy head Raphael, I have my original Galvatron. A few smaller Transformers like cliff jumper he's not in good condition though Warpath, Ramjet. It's sad, but I think my dad sold everything else off without us knowing about it, our toys just disappeared one day. He denies it, but I don't believe him. It was just very suspicious cuz one day I went looking for the Thunder tank and I couldn't find it. Thought I misplaced it or left it at my mom's house. And then my power Master Prime disappeared like a month later.
Yep. The orange hair/ accessories Lion-O was the first release. It didn't come with Snarf. The second wave Lion-O, with the red hair/accessories came with Snarf. There is also a darker maroon color hair Lion-O as well that I believe also came with Snarf.
Been waiting for this video. Isn’t the Young v Old Tygra LJN explanation being related to Trouble with Time a fan theory? I thought they just made a more accurate version in LJN series 2, not supposed to represent age progression.
So I'm really hoping your going to cover the mini figures that was made at the same time, although not really action figures they had a long range, and a catlair.
Yep the kidworks line is fun and I covered in this video. Might revisit these since I have more of the line now. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oJgwboE12Pc.html
