I was in heaven. Tried on the Racer jacket in black matte. If I am a good boy, maybe I will get it for Christmas. Keep up the amazing work!!!
Hi Connor, Would love to share my experience with Thursday Boots. Received two pair of Captains…the original pair and a replacement order…both with obvious defects. I have shared photos and emails with customer service. It was not an easy process getting a refund. Customer Service actually suggested that I take the brand new pair of replacement boots to a cobbler for repairs. My negative experience review was never published. I welcome a chance to share my experience with you. Thank you, sir.
There is NO denying it. These are hard to beat for the price. Impressive they have kept the same price point through all the things that have been going on in the world. I got my first pair today. I have some more expensive boots but these have a place in a boot collection. I need to buy 5 more pair before they raise the price point. Ty for the videos. Your always spot on with an unbiased perception.

Teik, I'm 65 and live in Sydney I've been watching your channel which convinced me to try Thursday Boots. A bit scary ordering online when you don't know your size so I picked up a pair of second-hand President Mocha for $au135 worn 10x in great condition. I guessed my size 10.5US and it's perfect. That beautiful smell of suede leather and my first Goodyear Welt.
I can totally relate with getting into quality boots and menswear during the pandemic. Found Thursday reviews on RU-vid and pulled the trigger last year. One year on, my captains (in the same colour as yours) are holding up really well. The only thing that broke was one of the laces - but that may be user error on my part. Also a fan of your videos. They are very well put together and informative! Cheers from Canada.
One really cannot beat the quality of Thursday Boots...for the price. As a young man with not much 'scratch' to spare...it is thrift store boots, or...Thursday Boots for me. Until I am older, and more established financially...I will wear Thursday Boots with pride. Mine are President, and I love them, (and so do the ladies). Sure...I would love to have a pair of Crockett and Jones, or Church's boots...but I cannot justify the price at this stage in my life. I want to thank Thursday Boots...for making an affordable, quality built boot. I will always be a fan of Thiursday Boots.
My first pair of Captains had really bad qc problems on the mid sole. I sent them the pictures and they sent out a new pair no questions asked and no returns needed.

From my experience of owning over a dozen pairs of Thursday footwear, you get more than you pay for. And I also own a LOT of other boots from brands as diverse as Red Wing, Carmina, Loake, Crockett & Jones, Grant Stone etc. I have found minor cosmetic errors with their calf leather boots where the leather has unfinished white spots or loose grain panels. However, I have never had any structural issues or annoying flaws like misaligned facings (unlike other brands) , and their more heavily prepared leather boots with Thursday chrome leather, my Chromexcel Vanguard boots, the Rough and Tough leather boots (mostly nubuck) have always been excellent with no flaws. So my advice would be to avoid the dressier calf leather boots and go for the more processed leathers like Thursday Chrome/Chromexcel/ nubuck and you should be okay. I honestly am as happy wearing my "Brown" Thursday Captains as my Carmina, Cheaney or Crockett & Jones boots and if I kick a rock I feel far less grief than I do that with a boot costing two to three times as much. I would also add that I started buying Thursday footwear in the last few years so have no experience of the earlier days of the company which may have been the source of some of the complaints you will see online.
Just got my first Thursday Boots after watching your reviews. The captain is indeed comfortable right out of the box, although I’ve only walked around the house so far. They fit a little big since I bought them true to size but they’re much better than my RW blacksmith boots.
I LOVE Thursday boots! The Brown Captain was my introduction to Goodyear welted, quality boots as well. I just have not gotten far past the gate. I now have 7 pairs of various styles. I also own a couple of pairs of Taft boots. For my style and preferred sleek, non boxy anesthetics, Thursday checks all the boxes!

Great video. I own 9 pairs of Thursday boots/sneakers myself and I am truly satisfied with each pair. In fact I plan on purchasing 3 more pairs this fall. In my opinion Thursday's boots and their low-top sneakers are well made and the prices are cost effective enough to justify ordering them from Canada. 🇨🇦
The tone of this video is a bit defensive, which I find odd. I didn't realize Thursday was under attack. I have three pairs of Thursdays (Captains, Cavaliers and Vanguards) and they are all excellent. I don't expect them to survive World War III, but then again I'll have other things to worry about. For now, they're holding up just fine, and while the Vanguards have a few cosmetic imperfections, the ones made in Mexico have zero quality issues.
I hadn't heard of the factory seconds options until now. I just ordered two sizes of the Legend, I might order a factory seconds pair once I figure out my size. Thanks, great vid!

I found this review informed and thoughtful as well as entertaining. Great job Teik! I’ve never bought “quality” boots and am considering TBC as my “gateway drug”, so this production was also quite on point for me. Of course I have to ask - are there other companies you would personally recommend for first steps? I do love the elegance of Italian wingtip boots but still in sticker shock at the price.

Unless another company decides to offer the slim toe that Thursday offers, then I feel there will always be a position for the brand, not as an "entry-point", but as a valid style choice for those not looking/caring for the bulky toe of most other competitors.
Another informative video, well done. Timely as well, given I just received a pair of their saddlewood President's on Friday after waiting 30 days for them to arrive in Australia. Apart from some very minor QC issues, I'm very happy with the purchase and looking forward to wearing them.
Love your thorough breakdown. I never had an actual boot that wasn't a hand me down or just something cheap i bought for work (warehouse) so when I finally bought a boot for myself I boot Thursday because of the reasons stated. For its price I think you are getting a good value and it has opened me up into looking into higher end boots that I never thought I would do before I bought a pair.
I agree with your assessment of Thursday boots. I own the Captain model as my initial dive into the boot world seeking better quality. They are good not great boots. They are very good value in my opinion. Their customer service as experienced by me is top notch, I have nothing but good things to say about the Thursday boot company.
I have a couple pair of Thursdays (Captain and Stomper) and recently received a pair of Beckett Simonon's Dowler in dark brown pull up which took a few months but are lovely. I put in an order for a pair of Nick's Tactical back in November 2022 but they're still a few months off (at least); currently wearing Danner Assail until those come in. Also eyeballing Grant Stone's field boot as I like the moc toc but Red Wings are just 'meh' quality for a slightly lower price point. Spot on about Thursdays as an affordable, recraftable casual option and have great customer service (the zipper broke after a couple weeks and they sent out another pair). Great synopsis!
Top video mate. I have been looking forward to this one. Will be checking it out on Amazon. Got my grant stone brass boot which I love, thanks to your videos, and considering the diesel. But will check out Thursday as through Amazon it is quite convenient
They were nice when they arrived, however their sizing buy 1 size down from your sneakers! What a way to get your correct size, I followed the sizing instructions twice, both over sized and 2 lots of return postage. I sent my actual foot size in inches, I received no response from Thursday Boots. If you buy make sure you know what your Thursday boot size, otherwise you’re up for return postage. They also took 2 months to issue a refund.

Each "second" will have different "defects" though - I have always found it helpful to contact Thursday and they will usually give a detailed rundown on what's "wrong" with them.
Nike video Teik. I appreciated it. I too started with Thursday and followed the typical arc. I got a pair of Allen Edmonds on sale, have three pairs of Grant Stones, and just order a pair of White's. Hopefully I can stop there before my wife pulls a nutty on me!

Thursday boots is good the only problem I have is the size. I wear a size 8 men some time it fit right and good but then some time it feel small and tight. Can you check out beckett simonon and ace mark thanks

I tell you I'm asking; I think we have the same Thursday number and if that is true I'll be able to base on your videos to pick the right boot size without taking too many risks. I'm in the EU and, even if I order through Amazon, I'm not getting any free return when boots are shipped from US or UK, which is a very big issue for me. Thank you!

@@Bootlosophy i don't know. I just think Americans are getting scammed by their prices. Only problem is there isn't free shipping/return and their sizes apparently are completely of so there is no point in buying their shoes unless you know 100% your correct size.
