Hey, thanks so much for the kind words & review! We're glad to hear you love your boots now & are sorry to hear they weren't comfortable from day one! That's usually not the case for our customers but everyone's feet are different.
Funny to hear you and some commenters day the boots are pricey. In the boot community Thursday is commonly known as the best value. For $199 you get a Goodyear Welt and full grain uppers. Doesn't really get cheaper than Thursday. The stuff you buy at department stores are trash by comparison.
I really enjoyed your excellent boot review! It fits perfectly with your country theme. Plus, it's fun to mix things up every once in a while. I appreciate your honesty regarding the pros and cons. I think the boots are very good looking but also a little pricey. However, for those who can afford them, they really do look great---very masculine and they obviously wear well. They still look pretty new.
Good review I think ...... as far as the blisters you either have the wrong size and/or I'd recommend snuggly lacing the boot all the way up to stop heel slip. I can actually hike a day in my Captain's with no blisters of foot problems, but I would if I didn't lace them up. Cheers 😎
Solid review not completely praising them yet not bashing them either. I do the roll up the pant leg look sometimes with mine not always but it all depends color of my jeans too I usually do it if im wearing my solid black jeans with like a black tee & yes brown goes with black in my opinion.
I had the same problem with the captain boot! I wore them to the mall and walk for several hrs by the end of the day my feet where begging to put some sneakers on other than that I love those things
@@BlazeGuitarLessons I love the boot look but definitely wouldn’t take another chance at Thursday. I’ve had a pair of Clark’s for 3 years now and I can literally run around with the kids with them check them out
The "captain" boot in this colour has the more aggressive sole, this is the "president" model. The captain looks very similar except it has a cap toe, so I don't blame you for confusing them.
From the reviews I've seen from people who appear to know a lot about boots, they all seem to agree that Thursday boots are inexpensive given their quality. Compared to other reputable boot companies that sell comparable boots for much higher, to "only" pay $200 or so for boots of this quality seems to be a bargain and a great value.
Instead of making changes to the boot, I suggest making changes to your foot health. Try walking around barefoot in the house. Then walk barefoot on grass or natural surfaces. Then start doing short barefoot runs on grass. Your feet will eventually strengthen, regain their natural structure, and you'll develop a nice callus. Oh, and your nice boots _may_ not fit you anymore :)
@@BlazeGuitarLessons right now just a bit too tight but I’ll keep wearing them to see if the leather stretches enough to give a more comfortable fit. I can’t blame the company though My foot is a 5-6E so it was a gamble when I ordered knowing they don’t make them for my caveman feet haha
