As soon as I saw the Diplomats I thought to myself they needed different bottoms and they’d be gorgeous then I stumbled upon this video and it confirmed my suspicions that a different bottom would make these go from very good looking to one of the best looking boots around! Nice job.

I notice most good cobblers havr very steadt hands when putting soles and glue or making cuts. I could never be that steady...I wish Thursday and Danner would make their Diplomat and Bull Run boots with these soles.. He seems like a very good cobbler.
Just stumbled across this video and Wow!! Mad talented cobbler. I own the diplomat and now watching this he just customized this pair of boots very interesting and lots of compassion for his skill.

I just got these shoes and there my first pair of boots so I've been watching a ton of videos about them and i know that they made the shoe with the leather on the bottom and have a permanent sole inside, so you should only have to change the white rubber sole. It's supposed to be easier for resoling because they inside is synthetic and falls apart so when you cut off the bottom i freaked out because i didn't know you could just resole the shoe so well🤣 they came out great, very educational ahaha

I noticed that the original build had a layer of cork (something that Thursday touts as adding additional comfort). Is this something that you could replace/include in a refurb? I enjoyed watching you work, and wish you success!
The costumer requested leather as a filler BTW it has an extra charge. Boot manufactures Will always use cork, the difference is that cork crumbles but there’s nothing wrong with it, I use it 99 % of the times. Thanks!
I want to jump into my first pair of good boots and am torn between these Thursday Diplomats and the Iron Ranger or Blacksmith… If I can only choose one, what is the best route to go?
looks better than before for sure but i dont find thursday boots to be worth it the leather looks terrible and thats not to great whe this is its first resole they wont last to long i feel /my fav boot is wolverine 1000mile/redwing beckman
