the only 3 things I pay attention when listening to a song are vocals, drums and synths, this doesn't has synths so vocals and drums get all my attention and both are amazing here
I never cared for the band till I saw them opening for Dying Fetus a year ago or so and I was blown away by the vocals. For me their albums are a bit boring but I loved their live set and their energy in a small venue.

@@Annatar_Lord_of_Gifts not being argumentative just stating my own opinion, I think it has to do with the fact that I'm biased because I started listening to Northlane with Adrian; I feel that folks had a hard time switching over to Marcus's. I liked his screams but I'm not a big fan of Marcus's clean singing compared to Adrian's. I personally felt the Adrian's was just a little bit more unique.
I dont know, there are a lot of sick sounding vocalists coming out of the woodwork in the past 10 years or so. Dickie Allen, Greg Gilbert, Ben Duerr, Dane Evans, CJ McCreery, Alex Terrible, Stevie O'shaughnessy, Exorcised Gods vocalists, Ben Mason, Rheese Peters, Dan Watson, Duncan Bentley, Tyler Shelton, Lucca Schmerler, Kyle Anderson, David Simonich, Tom Barber, etc. I could on but I see no reason. I do agree he was one of the first major names but different experimental sounds have been and are being developed.

The guitars are direct. No amps on stage. Makes everything else sound better cos there's no spill and super easy for audio guys to mix. The days of the guitar amp are over.
@@atoma8921 A lot of artists are running amps into cabinet simulators and straight into the mixing board instead of micing 4x12s on stage. Makes for a quieter stage and allows FOH to mix a lot easier

I now watch this daily. Yesterday people were chanting CJ! CJ! CJ!, and Tyler screamed throw your hate in the pit right before slaves beyond death, idk but this song is just perfect.
Tbh this is one of the first time i listen to this band, and i'm amazed by how relaxed the vocalist was at several screams throughout the song, yet the vocal sounds so controlled. Amazing!
Holy shit everything about this is perfect. The tone is crisp and clear af, CJ sounds like a fucking beast, everyone is in a good mood, the crowd is killing it... and they say deathcore bands are not worthy!!
This is actually a superior version of the song compared to the album recording IMO. A live performance that trumps a modern Putney production, insane!

I saw them with the architects last year right in front of the stage and was blown away how effortless CJ screams. Seeing it in this video I'm still blown away 🤘🏻
