if i were leo or security or something the switchback on a single mode twist would be my preference i think. i didnt like the switchback on my dual mode fury personally, and that was the whole point of getting the switchback for me. i ended up using a pocket clip from a solarforce L2 and a rubber o ring and now it just sits in my backpack as my backup emergency light. i like the idea of the finger loop so i dont ever have to put my light down and could edc my fury, but the pocket clip isnt great. the thing is made of polymer and if it snags on something it could break. happened to me with an older spyderco endura so i had to grind off the excess material. i think its a really good option if you have a single mode light with the push for momentary and twist for constant on, but i put that fury on one of my ar's. i wanted this for edc on my fury or even a g2x, and its not a bad option for that. if youre mainly looking for tactical situations where you only want high mode and off this should be great. it was hard for me to get my fury into high mode quickly while holding a pistol...so i put an x300 on my glock 19 and carry another light in my pocket. occasionally ill carry the fury as my edc task light. it even works great with a 16650 rechargeable battery from orbtronic. but hey i work in an optical lab so im not using my light the same as everyone else.

I am not sure. I am currently about to test a possibly solution for the switchback to my work in my ProTac HL, but it arrives this week and don't know if it works on the 2l. Not much help, sorry.

looking at the protac 2l i dont think the switchback will work. you have to unscrew the tailcap and slide it onto the body and tighten the tailcap back down and thats how it stays on. i dont think the tailcap on the protac 2l is long enough.
