Thyroid Eye Disease, Tepezza, and Your Hearing 

For patients with Thyroid Eye Disease, there is a low risk of hearing related side effects while undergoing Tepezza infusions, but understanding this is important. If you don’t have a history of hearing issues prior to Tepezza treatment and have a normal audiogram, it’s very unlikely that you’ll experience hearing impairment during your treatment. But if you do have a history of hearing issues, or an abnormal audiogram, in most cases treatment can still be initiated with very close monitoring and audiology testing. We monitor all patients undergoing Tepezza treatment for any potential hearing side effects, and conduct audiology testing before and during treatment to mitigate these changes.
