I think she’s wrong about that. Olive oil was THE cooking oil, not just in Greece and Rome, but in Israel. It’s mentioned in many places in the Bible. Yes, it was also used as a lamp oil, and even a sexual lubricant, but there was not any other oil so easily available. The highest grade was costly and was used as a prize in athletic games. But the widow woman who made pancakes for a prophet, had only two things left in her kitchen: flour and oil. Then he provided her a large supply of oil, enough to sell. That was olive oil. Ask any Biblical scholar.

I sent an email a few days ago, and this is what Dr. Bright’s assistant sent back to me. I’ve copied and pasted below. She offers consultations via video. The first consultation is $280 which provides a 45-minute consultation via Zoom, 60 minutes spent analyzing your information, and 60 minutes preparing your personalized protocol after the initial consultation. She will send you the questionnaires after you have paid, along with an invoice. She needs both the questionnaires and any lab or medical reports you have one week before the consultation for analysis. She cannot analyze any information before that time. She is only able to book an appointment with prior payment. Her questionnaires include some functional tests you can easily do at home. You can send her your blood tests, or any other kind of tests, in pdf or jpg format. The lab work does not have to be current.She can figure a lot out from previous labs and analyze up to 6 years of tests. During the consultation, she explains a protocol with dietary changes and a food diary and send you various pertinent handouts. She will detail recommendations for short-term supplement support and give you a list of blood tests if necessary. Usually, she can diagnose and create a protocol without much or any testing. After the session, she will be available for one week for questions via email. The first consultation is 45 minutes. Then, consultations are 30-minute consultations, at $150, so she can address changes that occur with the protocol. She usually recommends two or three 30-minute consultations depending upon symptom resolution. She tries to instill confidence in her patients so they understand how to take over their healing process after two or three months. She can respond to emails for one week after each consultation. Unfortunately, due to her workload, she must begin to charge for emails outside of this time. Please send her proof of payment to record when payment is made. If a cash payment is made to Chase we don’t get a notice from the bank. When you pay, please type a reference with the name you emailed her with and the name and last name of the person the consultation is for. Otherwise she cannot know who the payment is for. Often she receives payments, and it is not clear who they are from. Please only pay for one consultation at a time. If you need to cancel your appointment within 14 days after making the appointment we must charge 50€ or $50 in administrative fees. If you cancel one month after making the appointment you will have to pay 50% of the cost of the appointment in administrative fees. If you cancel one month before the appointment without choosing another date we cannot refund the payment

I heard and read that we need carbs to convert T4 to T3. Is that false? Does the carnivore diet help thyroid health?
@DrKelliRitter
@DrKelliRitter 3 месяца назад
This is a good question. It comes up frequently ~ I am not the thyroid expert, Dr. Bright is and you may want to consider working with her. I have done very well on an animal-based diet and I am healing my thyroid. Carbs are non-essential so it doesn’t make sense that we “need” them for anything in the body. As an anxiety & stress doc, I have my clients base nutrition decisions based on how they feel. Lots of trial and error.

Dr Bright, wonderful as always. Sorry to say the Interviewer seemed lost and disconnected at times, unable to articulate beyond awkward responses. Brain fog??

Look for a doctor that follows through on your wishes. You may have to search long and hard but it’s possible… all the best

That sounds so frustrating! You definitely deserve a doc that listens to you and honors your wishes. Dr. Bright does virtual consultations if you ever want to talk with her.
