I think those regular escalators are the Thyssen "Velino" model, which is still under production by ThyssenKrupp after the merger.

They have one of them at the Target in Metairie (outside of New Orleans).

Thyssen? Those must be early-90s...I didn't think they sold any systems in the US before they bought Dover and Miami Elevator, and that was after the Thyssen-Krupp merger.

This actually is not a Thyssen. It was made by a company known as Vermaport.

There's a pair of these at the Canadian Tire store, at the Eaton Centre, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Toronto has some great vintage elevators, Diesel Ducy. Why not pay us a visit sometime?

This remember me as an Shoppigcart transportsystem, once located at "Kaffee Reichelt" in Berlin - Zehlendorf (Germany). This Transportsystem was installed on the Side of an Escalator. This was going from the Groundfloor in the 1. Undergroundfloor. The Shoppingcarts was special modifized. This Transportsystem must be installed in the 1960' s or in the early 1970' s. I' ve no Photos making of them and i' ve nothing find about over this System in the Internet or other Publications. I think, this was the only one in Berlin. In the later Times, it was build of and the Building was modernized, became 2 Elevators. Who build this System once, i dont know, i think, it' s a Special Construction for this Shop.
