Ouch ! No built-in function for factorization nor quadratic solve with an HP-15C. To achieve this factorization as you show it in this video I have had to enter a quite long (22 steps) program that I recover form ageless notes (from 1998 when I used this at work). First enter this complex quadratic solver program (22 steps): g[P/R] f[CLEAR PGRM] [ 2 ] [ × ] g[R↑] g[LSTx] [ × ] [ ÷ ] g[R↑] g[LSTx] [ ÷ ] [CHS] [ENTER] [ENTER] g[x²] g[R↑] [ - ] g[x
I downloaded the factorization program for my DM42. I probably could have written one, but I'm guessing it would have been twice as long -- I'm not particularly elegant in my programming abilities. Kudos if you wrote your own factorization program. And, regardless, thanks for the info.
It is a 1st gen "ReMarkable" e-ink tablet. I got it for a consulting job I had - it was great for marking up PDF documents. It is an impressive device, but quite pricey.
